"Is he stupid or what?" Jisoo Kim practically yells as Park Chaeyoung recounts the events of the previous night.
"Unnie..." the young blonde attempts to calm the other girl down, "... I think it's an honest mistake, he was trying to what what's right..."
"And failed, at that," Jennie Kim continues, rolling her eyes, "... we've told you from the start, Chaeyoung—men aint shit."
"Chaeyoung, you're too forgiving to him," Lalisa Manoban chimes in, "... and what did you say, when he practically confessed to him?"
Park Chaeyoung shyly shrugs her shoulders, "... I was so shocked, so I just—kind of stood there. He told me I didn't need to give him an answer right away, and that he knew it'll take time but that he's tired of hiding how he really feels after all this time."
"Are you really considering getting back with him? After everything?" Jisoo Kim asks her, surprisingly softly.
"I don't know, it's complicated," she responds honestly, "... but one thing I've been thinking about is how I want him to be in Dongsun's life. That's my priority—he's a good father, last night, Dongsun came into my room and cuddled with me, and said "mommy, thank you for letting me play with uncle Jungkook" and my heart just—I know I need to do what's right."
"Chaeyoung," Jisoo Kim looks her in the eye, "... just make sure you don't get hurt, this time around. It was hard enough the first time."
Jennie Kim nods, adding, "... it's easy to be a good father figure after the fact but you were there during a painful birth, terrible twos—and for the most part, handling it alone."
"If he hurts you, we'll literally kill him," Lalisa Manoban affirms.
"That's already a given," Jisoo Kim adds, "... I don't want you to give him another chance, but if you do—we won't let him off lightly if he hurts you again."

Jeon Jungkook doesn't hear from her in a few days, and perhaps—he's made a great mistake in telling her how he feels.
He'd sent a few texts here and there, asking how Dongsun but they were left on read.
Until Saturday morning comes and he gets a video from her. He doesn't hesitate to pick it up on the first ring.
"Uncle Jungkooooooook!"
Jeon Jungkook's face instantly lights up when he sees the young Dongsun on the other side, waving at him.
"Hi lil champ, what are you doing today?" He asks him with excitement, "... do you have plans with mommy today?"
He wonders whether Park Chaeyoung knows that her phone had been stolen.
"Mommy is getting ready in the bedroom," the young child reports, "... she's wearing a yellow dress today, we're going to the beach! Mommy said she will make sand castles with me."
"Ah I see, please ask mommy to take a picture and send it to me so I can see," Jeon Jungkook requests, "... I bet you two will make an awesome one."
On the other end, Dongsun nods excitedly, "... uncle Jungkook can you come with us? With mommy and me?"
Jeon Jungkook freezes.
Of course, he wanted to go—but he wasn't sure whether Park Chaeyoung would allow, and she also didn't want her to feel like he was forcing his way in.
Even worse, if he said he wanted to, then he could accidentally paint her as the bad parent for not giving in.
Before he could speak, he hears a gasp from the other end before the phone falls flat. He can hear Park Chaeyoung's angelic voice from the other side, still sweet despite the fact that she was scolding him.
"Dongsun! What did I say about using mommy's phone? Who are you calling? Is it auntie Alice?"
"But mommy, I wanted to invite uncle Jungkook to come with us to the beach. He said he wants to see our sand castle!"

Silence.
He knows without seeing anything on the screen (outside of the ceiling) that he'd put her in a difficult position. Should he just hang up?
A couple of seconds pass before she takes a phone and his eyes can't help but widen—her wearing a yellow sundress, hair loosely in a low ponytail and glasses up on her head.
Absolutely breathtaking.
"Jungkook," her voice is soft and apologetic, "... I'm sorry, Dongsun took my phone without me knowing. Is he interrupting your schedule? You usually like to sleep in, right?"
"It's okay, I had time anyway," he responds, ignoring the 100 calls from his manager on his second phone, asking him to come into the studio, "... Dongsun said you were going to the beach?"
She nods shyly, "... we were watching an anime and Dongsun said he wanted to build a sandcastle so I figured I'd take him while I had the weekend off. We're thinking of staying overnight too, there's a private resort—really secluded and nice."
"Since when were you into anime?" He questions, trying to hold in his laugh.
"I'm not," she clarifies, "... he must've inherited it from someone."
From the other end, he can hear Dongsun asking, "... can Uncle Jungkook come?!"
She looks to the camera, "... do you have schedules this weekend?"
He shakes his head and lies, "... nope. Completely free."
The unending notifications on his other phone would say otherwise.
"Do you want to join us?" She asks him, "... no pressure of course, I'm sure you want to rest..."
Jeon Jungkook doesn't waste a minute, "... let me pack a bag and I'll head over to yours."
From the other side he can hear Dongsun's cheers.
"Dongsun, uncle Jungkook is coming soon so you better clean your room or else I won't let you come with us!"
Perhaps, he's won the lottery.

Jeon Jungkook usually hates long distance driving, but he doesn't mind because it means he gets the chance to talk more with her and his son.
But fifteen minutes into loud cheers and laugh, comes silence and after one look back he notices the young boy knocked out asleep in the car seat.
"He fell asleep fast," he comments.
She nods, a smile across her face, "... he falls asleep quickly when it's in the car. When I was pregnant, I used to just drive around the block whenever he was too active in my stomach, and nothings changed since then."
He wishes, he hadn't missed out on that period of their life.
"How is Sooyoung,?" She breaks through the silence, "... is she upset?"
"A little bit, she didn't accept the break up at first," he responds honestly, "... but she understands too. When we decided to try dating, she knew I hadn't fully moved on."
And still haven't.
Park Chaeyoung nods.
"Do you go on trips often with Dongsun?" He questions her curiously, "... I'm sure it's stressful, especially with all the secrecy and managing your schedule."
"A little," she admits, "... usually we go on trips with one of the girls or Alice."
"You're a really great mother, Chaeyoung," he tells her, "... he's lucky to have you."
"He really likes you, you know?" She tells him, "... he's really fond of you and I know—I can be a bit overprotective and possessive, but I want you to have a relationship with him too, at whatever capacity you're comfortable with."
He wonders whether it's the start of the missing puzzle piece of his life.

Dungeons Are Bad Business
Vee Vales has been kicked out of his home and directed to make his own way in the world. Along with his friend Alforde Armorsoul, Vee travels to the city of Oar's Crest. Once a prosperous and well-to-do city, Oar's Crest has fallen into depression and disrepair. After finding a strange stone that takes up residence in a tattered top hat and introduces itself as Reginald, Vee and Alforde decide to open a dungeon in Oar's Crest to revitalize the city and, more importantly, make some fleurs. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!

I Am, Lloyd Garmadon.
This is an AU where Lloyd never wanted to be like Garmadon, but Garmadon wants it to be like father like son. Also, to be clear, unless it's stated by me in an author's note, or the star I use to sign my drawings or painting is on the art, I probably found it on Pinterest and in no way mean to take credit for someone else's art.
