All my life I was train for the singular purpose of being the next Alpha.

And now my own cousin wanted to take that away from me, as I raised my head to look at him the only thoughts became vicious.

All I wanted to do was turn into my animal and eat him hold, but I was too civilized to do that.

Still mad as hell I didn't want to take out my anger on anyone else so I decided to leave the gathering.

In no time I reach my favorite spot on the island, it was a cliff that over looked the sea, the view was serene and beautiful.

As was trying to clam down when a voice came up and said, "a guy can get use to this tranquillity," being surprise, I turn around to see Stan lying down in the grass.

I was surprise he found me here, "your one hard person to shake you know that," I said and went to sit over by him. Looking at him he look so peaceful just lying down "Can't I just be with my mate," he said.

I turn away from him and looked out at the sea, you could hear the waves as the hit against the cliff and the chipping of birds as they flew over head.

"So are you scared about the Feru," he ask me, "no not really just annoyed that I have to prove myself," I tell him.

"Good because I'm scarred, I don't want to see any harm come to you," Stan says to me.

I turn over on lie on the ground beside him, cupping his face an using my thumb to rub along his beautiful face.

"I love you too much to let anything happen to me," I say and lower my body and his.

"You better make sure because my mate ain't no loser," Stan says and I smile and look down at him.

"So cowboy can I get a good luck kiss," I tell him, then he pecks me on my lips and lies back down.

Bracing on my elbows as I hovered over him I asked,"is that what you call a kiss."

"No its appetizer of what your getting to night," he says, "I guess I better win so I can my reward," I say to Stan.

"Let's go get your Alpha title," he gets up and say. "Yeah we have five minutes to get to Pride rock," I say to him,

"Its a good thing I drove your jaguar," Stan says a pulls out the keys from his pockets and dangling them.

Put my foot on the gas, we reach there under 2 mins, right as we were getting out, Stan held my hand.

"I just want you to know that what ever happens here I won't think any less of you," he said.

I was glad for his assurance, "thank you for that but you have nothing to worry about," I say and we leave the car.

After K ran away from the gathering, he had me scared that he would do something stupid because of the look in his eyes.

I tracked him down to a cliff on the island, I parked his car on the road and walk towards him. He was preoccupied by the view and because he just look so peaceful, so deciding against interrupting, I lie down on the grass and enjoy the tranquillity.

After being there and seeing time was wining down, I called out to him.

After I got him out of his funk we headed off to the place where there Feru would happen.

Leaving his car we head over to large sand pit, around the pit stood his family, the Alpha guards, the elder and a few civilians.

I looked at the opposite end, there stood Virgo with Pink by his side. He was looking at K all smugly and I just wanted to punch him in his face again.

"They have come for the Feru, all of you were asked here to be witnesses," the elder said.

"A challenger has come for the tittle of Alpha and it most be requested, Enter the pit if you agree to the Feru," the elder continue to say and Virgo jump into the pit and shift into a big gray wolf.

"We have the son of the land, by right born to be Alpha challenged and it most be accepted enter now," the elder said as he catches his breath.

"Anything is allowed, the last wolf standing will be Alpha," the elder reiterated.

Watching the 2 wolves stare each other down, they walk in circles. Virgos wolf made the first move.

He jump with his huge body and open up his mouth to attack, right when his grip was gonna enclose on K, I thought he would have dodge but he didn't.

Both wolves bit into each other and where in a tussle in the sand as they painted it red with blood.

I thought it would be a fight of skills but no its a fight of brute strength.

Both wolves tousle on the ground, no matter how brutal the fight got I couldn't turn my head away from the sand pit.

Virgo's giant gray wolf attacked K's giant black wolf hamstring, but he missed both wolfs were blood with multiple wounds across there body that were inflected by there claws and there jugulars.

The aggression between both wolves was strong as they growl and snarl with there bloody mouths.

The fight intensified when smoke started to come form Virgo's wolf mouth and he spit fire that encamp around K's wolf.

"What is going on is he half dragon are something," I

ask. "My cousin is special, more special than my brother," pink came over and said.

"What do you mean," I asked him. "You are too ignorant to be Luna of our pack," he said with a reply.

" uh huh, the boy is really bless," K's dad says. "Ben what is happening down there," I ask him.

"Virgo is bless with an inborn gift," he says while the fire rages on in the pit.

I was so confuse with what was happening, "you should know about our packs bloodline call devour right," pink says.

I look at him and nod my head, "we not only do we get the ability to eat anything but once what we eat magical things we might get the ability to have the power of what is eaten and to make things better, the power can be past on, my cousin awaken a dragon that was devour," he continues to say as he smiles at his brothers misfortune.

"Virgo is blessed, I never knew he had this much talent, maybe it is best he becomes alpha," Ben looks on and say, "are you crazy that's your son down there," I yell at him.

"I'm aware of that, trust me it hadn't left my thought, but the pack needs a strong leader for what is to come and Virgo is a dragon born, he just might be what we need," he state's.

"Is a dragon born that rare?," I ask, "yes it's special, the last time one was awoken was 100 years ago," pink says.

"So does K have and inborn gift," I ask his dad, "not that I'm aware of," he says. "In the last generation only my aunt had a inborn gift," pinks says and all eyes turn to her.

"Sister do you?" Ben says to rose while staring at her, "how did you know," she ask Pink confirming his speculation.

"When Violet got curse, I saw when you and the witches try to confront the voodoo

queen that day," he tells her.

"Your right I am a witch inborn and that's how I know my son is not fit to be our Alpha no matter how strong he is," she says and steps forward towards me, placing her hand on my shoulder bringing me comfort with her presence.

We watched on as Virgo kept on spiting fire at K, he couldn't avoid the flame's.

I was worried for K, all my fears manifested them self as my wolf became restless, the animal in me wanted nothing more than to go down and rip out Virgo's throat.

I couldn't take it anymore as I was about transform and rush into the pit, a force came crashing down on me.

I was petrified, "I'm sorry but, you can't intervene," Rose says to me.

She most have but a hex on me and a strong one at that, "believe in your mate my nephew will over come this," Rose says.

I was still on edge but I clammed down after that, she was right.

"I must believe in K, my mate will not lose," I thought.

I turn back my eyes to the pit and saw were Virgo stop spiting fire, he now look like a mini dragon.

He still look like a wolf but he was covered in scales and his wounds were gone.

My hope came crashing down, he was all heal up and still look like he had stamina to use.

I look at where K stood, his wolf was engulf in the flames, the only thing I could make out was the shadow of his wolf in the flames.

"Could he win?" I ask myself.

I watched on as Virgo walked towards the pillar of fire, he look like a beast that was forge for war.

*why doesn't he finish it," I ask myself, as he just stood there observing the fire. "Was he just playing with K,"

When I was in my thoughts a thunderous roar came through the air shaking the very earth.

I was scared, it sounded like a monster has waken from the abyss.

Looking at the sand pit, Virgo's wolf was slam against the walls of the pit but that wasn't the most astonishing thing.

The fire was gone and K stood in the same spot, but he had change somehow.
