Madeline's POV- October 2017
I slowly opened my eyes at the sound of knocking coming from the other side of the door.
"Maddy"
I sighed at the sound of yet another knock on the door.
"Maddy, are you you asleep?"
"I was" I replied loud enough for William to hear.
"Can I come in?"
The door opened before I could answer. William peaked in and smiled at me.
"How was your meeting?"
"Long" I admitted.
The semester was past it's halfway point, so my advisor wanted to check up on me and see how I was feeling. Afterall, this MA program was in no way easy so she wanted make sure none of her students were stressing too much. It was normal to stress, but it should not affect your life.
"So can I come in?"
I sat up and patted the spot next to me.
"What's up?" I asked once he was seated across from me.
"I just wanted to check up on you"
I smiled.
"I'm ok" I assured him.
"What happened last night"
I cut him off.
"Was out of our control" I stated.
"He will apologize to you"
I shook my head.
"At this point, I just don't care" I confessed.
"He doesn't remember anything from last night and is really sorry"
"It still happened, and at the moment I don't think I can forgive him" I answered.
"It's understandable"
He smiled.
"Are you hungry?"
"I could eat" I replied.
It was almost 12 PM, and I had class at 3pm
"Well let's go eat something"
"Did Kasperi leave already?" I asked.
"Are you trying to get rid of me already?"
I laughed as Kasperi walked into the room. He was only wearing boxers and his hair was slightly wet. This was Kasperi's usual outfit consisted of.

"Did you just get out of the shower?" I questioned.
"Yeah, I should change though"
He pointed at me.
"Did you get a sitter for Poppy?"
Mitch Marner's girlfriend was actually supposed to take care of him, but she said no last minute. Turns out I was not on Mitch's good side and she didn't want any problems. It was understandable so I told her it was ok.
"Yeah, one of the nurses offered to take him in for the weekend" I answered.
William looked at me.
"Poppy won't stress or anything like that, right?"
Poppy would be staying with a nurse I had befriended during my clinical hours. She was a total sweetheart and her husband happened to not be allergic. Her sister was also quickly visiting for the day.
"He shouldn't" I answered.
Poppy would be staying with her for only the weekend, I'd pick him up Monday morning.
"If you trust that nurse, I wouldn't mind if she stayed the weekend here. Kap and I would just lock the doors to our room and hide anything that would give out who we were"
I shook my head.
"No it's fine, I already agreed to take Poppy to her tomorrow" I answered.
"So are you missing class?"
"Yeah, but he posts the lecture online and it's all review for next weeks midterm. I'll listen to the lecture either on my way to LA or on my way back. If I have any questions I'll just go to my professor's office hours on Wednesday" I answered.
He nodded.
"Have you told Cody that you have an exam next Thursday?"
"I have not and he's going to be super bummed out about me not going to Chicago" I confessed.
Cody knew that school came first.
"As cliche as it sounds. You're not like most WAGs, you've got a career of your own and can't exactly drop everything for him"

I nodded agreeing.
"It sucks, this position I'm in makes me wish I had stayed in California for grad school" I confessed.
"Well you made that decision before you met Cody"
Kasperi was right.
"Only a year and a half left"
I laughed.
"I'm going to change, let's go eat something"
"What do you two have in mind?" I asked.
I climbed off the bed and pulled my hair out of its ponytail.
"Sushi?"
William nodded.
"I'm down for sushi, what about you Mads?"
"Sushi sounds good" I replied.
He climbed off the bed and made his way out.
"Alright, I'm going to go put on my suit"
"Do we have to drop you off at the airport?" I called out.
"Yes please"
William looked at me.
"Can you drop me off too?"
I smiled.
"At the airport?" I asked.
He chuckled.
"No, I've got practice at 3:30"
I nodded.
"Of course, it's on my way to campus" I answered.
"Thank you!"
He closed the door on his way, and I turned to Poppy.
"You're going to be a good boy to Selina, aren't you?" I asked.
I picked him up and nuzzled my face into his fur.
"Love you" I told him.
He purred and leaned against me as I kissed his forehead.
"And her sister, Barbara" I added.
I set him down and changed back into the clothes I was wearing this morning which consisted of skinny jeans, a pair of brown booties and into a black peter pan collared blouse. Just as I was slipping on a jacket, the door opened.
"Whoops, forgot to knock"
"It's alright, I'm done changing," I told Kasperi.
"Can you fix my tie?"
I nodded and made my way over to him. He took my phone and watched as I adjusted his tie for him.
"I need a date for a stupid team event"
"When is it?" I asked.
"Monday"
"I'll be your date" I assured him.
"Thanks, you're the best"
I smiled and patted his chest.
"All done" I said.
"Let's go eat!"
I grabbed my purse and backpack as I followed him out. William was making his way out of the room, fixing his tie.
"You two look so handsome" I told them.
Kasperi grinned.
"I know"
William rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"Let's go"
He took my backpack and followed me down the stairs.
"Which car are we taking?"
"Mine" I replied.
They both followed me and got into the car.
"I'm going to miss both of you this weekend"
I smiled and glanced at Kasperi through the rearview mirror.
"Maddy isn't going to miss us since she will be busy with Cody"
He wiggled his eyebrows.
"You two act like all Cody and I do is have sex" I stated.
William looked at me.
"What do you two do then?"
"We catch up" I answered.
"By having mindblowing sex"
Ladies and gents, my roommates.
