It was the top of the 9th inning, Astros were on the field, the score was 1 - 1, zero outs, Seager was on 2nd base and Turner on 3rd base.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe we got seats near their dugout!" I said to my best friend YBFN, who was a big baseball fan like me.
"I know right, we got so lucky with the seats." I turn and look at the field, realizing someone's ready to bat. "Oh wait, Bellinger is up to bat."
We both had a crush on Cody Bellinger. We knew that his jersey number was 35, he batted 4th, and played on first base.
"GOO BELLINGER!!!" we both screamed at the top of our lungs. After that, Turner scored and Bellinger went to 3rd base. We knew that they had won the game for sure.
"Wow, I can't believe they scored a run." said YBFN. It turns out that the Astros ended up getting a home run, but did not catch up to the Dodgers. The game ended with the score being 6 - 2.
"I can't believe Pederson hit a home run." I said.
"Yeah that was amazing. Wish we were there to try and catch it."
"Yeah me, too"
We were leaving stadium to head back to our hotel since the game ended like around 11:30 and we were both tired.
We were out of the stadium, heading to the parking lot when someone bumped into me.
"Sorry miss, I didn't mean to bump into you." He said. Something about his voice sounded familiar.
"Oh no, its fine. I mean like of course someone was going to bu-" I said, turning around to see that it was him. It was truly him. Number 35 himself, standing right in front of me.
