"y/n, i've known you for a long time and i wanna tell you something..." the blonde ruffled his hair, seemingly nervous all of a sudden.

"what is it tsukki?"

he composed himself, reassuring the words coming out of his mouth were not bluffing him.

"i think i'm in love with you"

he what?

"i'm sorry tsukki but i don't feel the same way and i don't think we should get back together. i like... being friends with you and nothing more"

you pat his head awkwardly as silence filled the space between both of you.

"could we still stay friends?"

your back lied on your bed with your head staring right up above you at the ceiling.

when tsukishima said he wanted to get boba with you and hangout today, this was not the hangout you were expecting.

was i too harsh?

out of frustration, you threw your phone in hand across the room. it hit the front wall but it rebounded back screen first onto the floor.

you felt confused with your feelings. actually in junior high you used to like tsukki for the years. but stepping into high school the feelings were no more.

did they change for another boy?

"ahhhh i hate boys! making me feel so guilty for what huh? now that's another person i won't be friends with anymore, i literally have no more friends already fuck!" you whined on and on.

/buzzing noises/

perking your head up, you realised the noise was coming from your phone.

"oh my god shut up!" you threw a pillow at your innocent and poor phone, and immediately that shut it up.

"WAIT, did i break my phone?"

your feet scrambled as you ran to check on your phone. sighing relieved, you saw a notification on your lockscreen.

MISSED CALL FROM : 🧍🔫

you redialed his number and gave him a call back.

"hello?" you say.

"i'm at the party, you should come too y/n"

"hahahaha very funny, but no"

something about his whiny tone made your heart palpitate a bit faster.

"are you drunk, tobio?"

"no i'm not. and anyway, i'm gonna make sure you don't get drunk as well like how you did last time. dumbass"

"shut up"

"so are you coming?" he asks.

"what makes you think i'm gonna go?"

"we are playing spin the bottle"

"i'll be there in 5"

something had compelled you to come to the party yet, but you didn't know what. not giving it much thought, you just put on a fresh pair of clothes and went off.

walking through the door, you swear to god it was even more crowded compared to last time. it seems as if maybe another school was here.

you made your way until you were at a familiar circle of people. half of them were which you recognised from the karasuno volleyball team, while the others were wearing some turquoise jacket from a school you didn't recognise.

you had to point out, the ratio of girls to guys was really unfair.

however, you lock eyes with the guilty ones of tsukki.

tsukki.

"suddenly i can't see" you whispered only audible to yourself before squeezing beside hinata on a couch.

before he could even ask you any questions, a buzz cut dude from the year 2 pointed to daichi.

"daichi-san! could we start the game now?"

daichi was walking over, spinning an empty alchohol bottle in his hands. "everyone relax, the game is about to get started"

he placed the bottle in the already made circle as cheers and woops were earned by everyone in the circle.

"hi y/n!" hinata from beside you greeted.

"hello shoyo!" you smiled, your focus moving from daichi to the orange on your right. "you excited to play?"

he shrugged, unsure "well, umm..."

suddenly, daichi cut everyone's conversation off. "alright guys, so who wants to get kissed first and start off?"

for some reason, everyone started shouting his name.

he finally gave in and shrugged, spinning the bottle.

the clinking sound of the bottle was all everyone was paying attention to. it was all that determined the fate of the person spinning the bottle. everybody leaned into the bottle.

eventually, the bottle skidded on the floor and pointed at the captain of the girls volleyball team, yui michimiya.

you had recognised her a few times, running to her friends blushing after talking to daichi. it was obvious they had a crush on each other.

there was a rumour going around before one of their matches, she had given him a lucky charm.

everyone knew.

everyone started screaming, whistling, you name it.

"kiss kiss kiss!" one person started a chant, and soon everyone was joining in, including you.

daichi was getting pushed around by all his teammates, whereas yuis friends were all screaming for her.

with everyones eyes locked on them, and with daichi sitting on the floor and her on the other side of the couch, he stood up. walking over to her, his hands entrapped her between him and the couch. finally leaning over, they were kissing in front of literally everybody.

as their lips met each other, everybody stopped their kiss chant and started literally screaming and clapping.

daichi pulled away and smiled crookedly before walking back to his seat.

so this was what it was gonna be like.

you sunk into your seat, lowkey hoping the bottle never landed onto you.

after a few sessions of seat gripping kissing, everybody from the other school left and that only left the peeps from karasuno in the circle. everybody scooted closer together with your ass still on the couch.

some people, like the third years, also left after getting bored for a while. mostly, it was all the second and first years.

the bottle, luckily, had not chosen you yet. but something about your gut feeling told yourself you weren't gonna be safe for very long.

at this point, you regretted showing up.

tanaka, the buzz cut, decided to make things a little fun. "alright hinata, it's your turn to kiss someone tonight!" he said, handing him the bottle.

the orange hair looked like he was about to shit himself. reluctantly, he spun the bottle against his own will.

your eyes only followed the bottle and the bottle only. as it had finally stopped, you looked at who the bottles mouth was pointing at.

kageyama.

the people left in the circle were laughing hysterically. never in a million years would kageyama EVER kiss hinata.

ever.

before hinata accepted his fate, kageyama spoke up.

"i'm not gonna kiss that little shrimpy, he brushes his teeth like twice a week!" he said angrily.

"shut up breastfeeder!" hinata said back.

tanaka got between them before they would wrestle right there in front of everyone. "woah woah woah chill out guys!"

the buzz cut then faced kageyama.

"okay i guess you won't kiss hinata no matter how much i ship you guys. how about you pick someone from here who do you want to kiss then huh?"

kageyamas head immediately turned to tsukki who was already glaring at him. you didn't realise how much the two hated each other EVER until this moment.

"what are you looking at, king?" tsukki didn't break the glare but kageyama did.

with that, kageyama walked forward with a smile. your eyes followed his feet. when he stopped, your head looked up.

he was standing right in front of you.

the people who were excited about hinata and kageyama kissing were now ecstatic and raved as the raven boy chose you out of pure pettiness to tsukishima.

you looked at hinata for some sort of help, but all he did was grab a snack and watch the show as well.

from your sitting position, kageyama bent down to meet the height you were at. however you stood up, putting your hands on his chest to not advance any further. "first of, what do you think your doing?" you whispered to him confused, pointing your index finger at his face to stop.

kageyama grabbed both of your wrists and guided them to wrap around his neck, whispering back harshly "what does it look like to you dumbass?"

you eyes darted around the room, you didn't wanna be a party pooper but your heart raced confused. your eyes met the blondes again, seeing jealousy in them. looking at kageyama, he was smiling in a cynical way.

"tobio choose someone else, you don't want this"

his hand wandered off to your left cheek, trying to bring your face closer to his. "and why should i do that?"

"not in front of everyone idiot!"

"isn't that's the point?"

"what?" you didn't really know what he meant by that in the moment.

his other arms gripping into your waist, forcing you to hop slightly forward. "come on, don't act like this is the first time we're kissing. you know you want it y/n l/n~" he traced your lips with his thumb.

you couldn't even form words right now, not exactly because you felt uncomfortable.

instead you looked down at his shoes.

maybe you actually did want it.

"come on guys, we don't have all day!" tanaka shouted. now everyone was chanting both of your names to kiss like a mantra.

"kiss kiss kiss!"

perking your head to look at him again, you gently placed your lips onto his. with that, his hands snaked to your waist gripping it tight as he slipped his tongue into your mouth.

you were taken aback but you kissed him back passionately. the people in the circle were cheering for you as y'all made out.

when you both pulled away, he had a small smile on his face before walking back to his seat and you did the same.

the rest of the night went on but you couldn't stop looking at kageyama, still on adrenaline from the make out session.

however he never looked back at you.

not even once.
