"What in the world?"
"Welcome."
Turning around, you reached for the door, but ended up not being able to open it do to pulling instead of pushing.
"Crap," you swore. You leaned your head against the door, your glasses poking uncomfortably on the bridge of your nose. "Why me?"
"What is this? A boy?"
Looking over your shoulder, you looked back at the group of boys. Seven of them total, great.
The brunette one at the front of the group pushed himself forward to stand in front of you. "We've never had a boy before," he said.
"What?" you asked. All you wanted was to find a quiet place to study, but instead you got this. "Look, I'm just trying to find someplace quiet. The libraries are too loud, so, I'll be going."
You, once again, tried to pull the doors open, but the brunette had other plans.
"AH, a boy! And a commoner! Finally, my beauty has reached the male population of the school and the streets of the poor! Please, come in, join us!"
He pulled your hands away from the door and pushed you closer to the centre of the room.
"So," he said clapping. "What's your type?"
"My what?"
"Your type!" He said. He pulled you over to one of the boys standing beside a smaller boy. "Do you like the strong, silent type?" he asked pointing at the white-haired boy. The boy gave you a short nod, and carried on with what he was doing.
He then turned you to the small boy standing beside the strong silent type—or whatever.
"The boy Lolita?" The boy Lolita gave you a cute smile while tilting his head, making his spiky hair shift slightly.
You turned and face the brown-haired boy. "You know, if you actually told me their names, this would probably be less weird."
The brown-haired boy completely ignored you, and dragged you over to a blond boy who was sitting at a table typing on a laptop. "How about the cool type?"
He then pushed you towards two boys whom were standing next to each other in the same position. "How about the mischievous twins?"
Your eyebrows furrowed. "Hey, those two ain't twins," you said pointing at them. Though both had extremely messy hair, that's about where the resemblance stopped.
"Hey!" said one of the 'twins' —specifically the one with black hair. "Leave them alone Oikawa!"
"Yeah, they're probably bored with you already," the other one said. He, on the other hand, had white, messy, hair with black roots. "They're probably better with us!"
The two boys went on either side of you, and wrapped one of their arms around your shoulders. "Isn't that right? Umm...I don't know your name," the boy with the black hair said as they began to pull you away.
"Well, I don't know any of your names, so I guess we're even," you glared. "And get off of me!"
"HEY! YOU BASTARDS DIDN'T LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF!"
"Oh well~" the 'twins' shrugged walking faster.
As you began to be chased by the brunette, the 'twins' decided to run around in circles to get away from him.
"I would advise that you stop before any of you decide to let out your lunch," the blonde spoke up. "I don't think that (L/N)-san likes it very much either. Remember, we are supposed to be courteous to our guests."
"Wait," you said as they stopped running. You turned to face the blonde boy. "How do you know my name?"
The blonde shrugged; his mouth tugged at the corners of his lips. "I know everything I need to know, (L/N)-san. Just like I know you're only here on a scholarship."
"That's kind of creepy, but okay," you said. The boys had surrounded you in a semi-circle. Curiosity had filled them by how much their vice president knew about you.
You cautiously looked around them and took a step back. "So? Are we going to do an introduction circle or something?"
"Okay!" the boy with spiky hair chipped. "I'm Nishinoya Yuu, third-year, and I love cake. I should get some cake. Do we have anymore cake?"
The boy—Nishinoya—snapped out of his daze of cake, and pointed to the boy whose shoulders he was sitting on. "This is Aone Takanobu."
"I'm Tsukishima Kei," the blonde said as he pushed up his glasses, "second-year and vice president of the Host Club. And Noya-Senpai, there is some cake leftover in the fridge."
"I'm Kuroo Tetsuro," said the boy with white hair and brown roots.
"And I'm Bokuto Kotaro," said the boy with black hair, as they snickered.
"I knew those two weren't twins—"
"AND I AM YOUR GRAND KING OIKAWA TOORU," Oikawa said interrupting you. He twirled around with his arms spread above his head.
"Just so you know," Tsukishima said from behind you, making you jump, "the boy with black hair is Kuroo and the boy with the white hair and black root is Bokuto. They think they look alike, and can fool anyone, but the only people who fall for it are the guests."
"Okay, cool. I'm going to go now. So, don't mind me. Just leaving." You took a step backwards to the door so you could leave and go study, but as soon as you turned around and tried to make a dash for the door, you ran into a podium.
On the wooden podium was vase, a pretty blue one. Along with that, it costed a lot of money, more than you could dream of, and now was shattered in the tiled floor.
"Oops."
Footsteps echoed behind you as you stared at the shards of expensive porcelain.
"That didn't cost much did it?" you asked, pointing at the safety hazard.
Tsukishima stared at the mess and sighed. "It costed a great deal. In fact, its starting cost was 8 million yen and there's no doubt that the price would go up. It was going to go for auction for our guests. What a shame."
"B—b—b—but..."
"You're going to have to pay for that."
"8 m-m-million y-y-en??? But I-I don't have any—"
"Money?" Oikawa smirked. "You're still going to have to pay for that. But how are you going to do that, you may ask. Well, in Rome you do as the Romans do. If you don't have any money, then you will pay with your body."
"Wha—what?" you asked, taking a step back, not liking where this was going.
"You will join the Host Club until you can pay off your debt!" Oikawa demanded.
"Ugh, I'd rather not."
"Too late, guinea pig!"
"Guinea pig?" you sighed to yourself.

"Give me those! I can't see without them!"
"Tsukki," Oikawa called, pointing at the blonde.
"Don't call me that," Tsukishima grumbled.
"Get my hair stylist."
"Twins!"
"Yes, sir!" the two yelled in sync.
"Go get a uniform."
"Sir, yes, sir," they saluted before running off.

"What is going on?" you asked yourself
"Well, we can't have someone looking like you do in the Host Club," Oikawa cheered, waving your glasses around. "Aone! Get my eye doctor and get some contacts!"
"Ooh! Ooh! Kawa-san, what can I do?!" Nishinoya yelled, pointing at himself.
"Oh, Nishinoya, you can... Uh... Go eat some cake," Oikawa said unsure.
Frowning, Nishinoya made his way to a table with two chairs, one of which had a volleyball sitting in it.
"It's just you and me Bareboru-chan," he sighed.
You were about to comfort him, but before you could, you were dragged by the arm into a chair.
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
"(Y/N)-san, can you come out now?"
"Don't call me that. Besides I'd rather be in my normal clothes," you grumbled, weaving a hand through your short (H/C) hair.
"Oh, come on (Nickname)-san!" Nishinoya cheered from outside the curtain. "I'm sure you'll look cute!"
Sighing, you took a step out from the change room. "Really, guys, you didn't have to do this. I was fine in my own clothing."
"Aha! I've created a prince!" Oikawa cheered to himself. "You look so cute! So pretty, like a girl!"
"You did nothing but order us around." Tsukishima grumbled pushing up his glasses.
"Ya boss, you did nothing," Bokuto groaned.
"Ya, we did all the work for you," Kuroo followed up.
Aone grunted in agreement
"Shh," Oikawa 'retorted'. "This was my work."
"Okay then," you sighed. "What now?"
Oikawa's face practically bursted into a smile. "You're going to learn how to host of course! Now what shall you be?"
"What shall I be?" you asked. "How about not that?"
"Oh, I know! The commoner type!"
"That's the best you could come up with?" The twins laughed at Oikawa. "That's so stupid."
"It's not stupid!" Oikawa argued. "It's amazing! It's Original!
"Before you start coming up with this 'types' as you call it," Tsukishima said. "You should see if they can bring in new guests."
"That's just what I was thinking, Tsukki!"
Bullcrap.
"Don't call me that."
"Our errand boy is moving up the ranks," Oikawa said, pointing at you. "Starting today, you are an official member of the host club. I will personally train you to be a first rate host. If you can get 100 customers to request your service, we will completely forget your 8 million yen debt."
"A host?"
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
"I'm so sorry to hear that (L/N)," one of the girls said with water filling her eyes. Her hand reached over the table and landed on your hand.
"It's okay," you smile gently. "I've learned to live with it and my mom taught me amazing things. It's almost as if she never died."
"AWW! That's so sweet!" The girls cried.
"Is it okay if we request you next time (L/N)?!?!" A girl asked.
You smiled at them and nodded your head. "I would really appreciate that."
Nishinoya hugged his volleyball. "Wow, (L/N)-chan sure is a natural!!"
"Why is he so popular?" Oikawa groaned
"He's a natural," Tsukishima said.
"No training needed," the 'twins' said.
"Are you forgetting about me?" a red-head said as she sipped her tea.
"Oh, no, sorry, Princess," Oikawa said. "I'm just concerned about our newest host."
"Well, that's obvious Oikawa, you sure have been keeping an eye on him," she chided.
"Of course, I have too. I'm training him to be a gentleman like me."
Snapping his fingers, Oikawa called you over.
"(Y/N). Come here for a minute."
You got up from the table where the giggling girls sat and walked a few meters to the couch where Oikawa was.
"What's up?"
"I'd like you to meet someone. This is my regular guest," he gestured to the red-head. "This is Princess Ayanokoji."
You gasped, recognizing the girl from before. "Miss, it's a pleasure to meet you," you smiled.
"Ahh SOOO CUTE!"
"Aone-senpai, Help Me!"
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
"Where did my stuff go?"
You were looking for your things when you looked out the window behind you.
"Huh? Are you kidding me? How did that happen? I thought there were no bullies at this school. I guess they're everywhere."
You rushed through the hall to get outside and to the fountain where your things were probably drenched by now. You rushed, head down, until you heard a voice.
"Oh? It's you again," the read-head spoke. "I bet you love having Oikawa making you over and fawning over you. It's useless though. You will always be a second-class citizen."
You waited for her to walk away before rushing down the stairs to the fountain.
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
Your hands pushed through the water as you stood in the fountain, pants rolled up; only the sound of the peeing baby statue of the fountain, and yourself, to fill in the silence.
"I bet she threw my bag in the pond," you grunted. "But I can't be bothered with her right now. I need to find my wallet or I won't have any money for food this week."
"Hey, Commoner. You got some nerve skipping out on the club like that. Why is your bag all wet?" Oikawa asked.
"Oh, uh. It's no big deal. I got it," you said. "I just gotta find my food money."
The extra sound of water moving was brought to your ears.
"Hey, you don't gotta do that. You'll get all wet," you called to Oikawa, whom was doing what you had been for the last few minutes.
"It's ok. A little water never hurt anyone. Besides, people are always telling me that I'm dripping with good looks."
You stared at him slightly and were about to say something before—
"Oh, is this it?" he asked holding up a now dripping wallet. "What's the matter? You're staring of into space. You're not falling for me, are you?" he teased waving the wallet around.
"No way," you grumbled, grabbing your wallet.
"How did your bag and up in the pond anyway?"
"Huh, I guess I just dropped it out the window at some point."
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
"Oh, really? That must have been terrible. I have no idea what I would have done if I found my stuff in the pond," the red headed girl said from across the table. Her elbows rested on the table and her hands on her face.
"And you actually made Oikawa search that dirty old pond with you, how astonishing, you do realize he's a blueblood and not a commoner right?" she continued taking a sip of her tea.
"The only reason he's paying attention to you is because he's trying to turn you into a gentleman. Don't start thinking he cares about you just because he is doting on you."
"Now I get it," you said, looking at her, "you're jealous of me."
You were standing up, about to walk away, when she kicked the table and pulled you forward and on top of her, causing the table to falling along with averting on it.
She screamed, alerting everyone one in the room. Then began ranting at how barbaric you were. She was about to complain more until warm liquid was poured on you both.
Oikawa helped her up. But as soon as she spoke, Oikawa shut her down and shut down anything that she could say to keep her innocent in the predicament.
"Why Oikawa? You idiot!" she yelled running out of the room.
"As for you, since it was your fault. Your quota is now 1,000!"
"One thousand?" you asked stuttering.
"Come on," Oikawa beckoned. "I got high expectations for you my little rookie." He winked.
Tsukishima handed you a stiff bag. "It's the only spare uniform we had left, sorry. But it's better than a wet one, right?"
"Thanks guys, I'm gonna go change."
•──────⋅☾ ☼ ☽⋅──────•
"(Y/N), here you go. I brought you some towels—" Oikawa said as he opened the curtain to the change room.
He stopped moving entirely as you turned around in your under shirt to look at him.
The yellow curtain swung closed. And it was as if a lightbulb went off in Oikawa's head.
"(Y/N)?"
"Ya?"
"So, you're a girl?" he asked dumbfounded.
"Biologically speaking, ya," you said, opening the curtain to reveal yourself in a bright yellow dress instead of a purple-blue suit.
Oikawa began freaking out.
"Listen, senpai, I don't really care if you guys see me as a boy or a girl. In my opinion, it's more important for someone to be recognized for who they are. Not what sex they are."
"Isn't this interesting?" Tsukishima, who knew from the start, stated.
"Oh ya," replied the 'twins' whom found out along the way.
"Though I gotta say, senpai. It was really cool what you did out there," you complemented Oikawa.
Oikawa seemed to relax at that moment and then burst into a blushing mess and failed to cover his face with one hand.
Tsukishima turned his head away from the group and spoke, "Now I could be wrong, but I believe we are witnessing the beginning stages of love here."
"Being a host and being fussed over by a bunch of girls might not be that bad," you said, causing Oikawa to freeze again. "I wonder how I could pull it off."
Smacking your fist into the palm of your hand you continued to speak.
"I got it. I'll just call everyone 'dude' and 'bro' now."

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.
