At about the age of five, especially after school while (Y/N) would be trying to read, bruises began to show on her knees. Well, they had always appeared before. Just not this frequently.
Bruises would litter her body daily and would take days to fully heal. Eventually, (Y/N) did get over the pain, they became more of a decoration of discolouration on her hips, knees and elbows. Like a blue one she currently had on her shoulder that resembled a heart. (Y/N) joined a soccer club not long after and got bruised and cut from that too. She was healthy. And it was all well and good until her second week of high school.
"Maaaaa!! Mamaaaaa!"
(Y/N) was laying down in her bed, hands pushing against her lower stomach. The feeling of being punched repeatedly wasn't what she wanted to wake up to.
(Y/N)'s mother, who had heard her screams, ran upstairs to see what the problem was. She looked at her daughter's bed to see (Y/N) still in her pajamas under her blanket and covered in sweat.
"(Y/N)," she said rushing to her side. "What's wrong?"
Trying to speak through the pain in her lower abdomen (Y/N) let out a small whine.
"My stomach," she managed. "I'm dying."
"Okay, okay. Can you sit up?" she asked holding (Y/N)'s shoulders.
(Y/N) nodded and used one hand to push her head off her (F/C) pillow. The slight movement caused pain to shoot through her body and send her crashing down on the pillow. (Y/N)'s mom pulled off her blanket and laughed.
"You're not dying, sweetie, but I can't say much in terms of blood loss."
"What?!"

Ushijima, the famous volleyball star, was doing his early morning run like every morning since middle school. The sun was covered by overcast, but the temperature was high, creating ideal weather for any sport enthusiast.

He was just rounding the last corner to his house when aching pain shot through his back and stomach. He cringed at the feeling, but pushed through it and got home.
The third-year slowly shuffled to his bedroom and rested his back on the wall as he sat on his bed. Ushijima had never felt pain like this of any sort. It was brutal. He gently pushed his hand into his stomach and massaged the area.
After a few minutes the pain subsided and he was packing up his things to head to school.

(Y/N) sat in her classroom trying to not let her pain be visible through her face. As she sat there, her middle school friend had noticed (Y/N)'s awkward position and approached her.
"It finally happened, didn't it?" she asked.
(Y/N) looked up at (F/N) and tilted her head slowly.
"Oh, it's nothing," she spat out. "Just a bruise on my shoulder. (Y/N) lifted her uniform sleeve to show the heart that had formed there.
(F/N) plopped her body down in her seat next to her best friend and relaxed, kicking her feet up on the table. Not caring for the revealing skirt she wore.
"Oh, you innocent child. Your period. It finally happened didn't it?" she said. "Ooh, I wonder how your soulmate feels. Poor guy. Or girl, you know, whichever you prefer."
(F/N) rested her hands on the back of her head and curved her back over the seat. A loud crack followed by a pop came from her back before her fully relaxed in the seat.
"They must be having a hard time with all the pain you're giving them."
You groaned and laughed lightly. "It's not that bad," you said. "I'm sure they can handle it."
(F/N) pointed at the side pocket of your back and laughed. "I'm sure, is the lack of feeling the reason you have Advil poking out of your bag?"

You quickly picked up your bag and tucked the container deeper into the pocket. "Shut up."
"Okay, okay, fine. Class is starting anyways."

Now, unlike his female counterpart, Ushijima didn't have Advil or Tylenol handy for this kind of situation. So, he suffered throughout the day with constant pain in his stomach. The only thing that helped him get through it was that he knew someone was suffering just as bad.
Hopefully, or the pain would have been for nothing.
By the end of the day, Ushijima had gotten used to the affects and made his way the the gym where practice would be held. The only problem was that he couldn't walk another step from the ache that shot through his lower back to in between his pelvis.
He quietly made his way to a park bench that was on the edge of a small island of grass. He put his bag on one end and rested his head on it, letting the rest of his body splay on the bench.
A sudden groan was brought to his attention when he saw a (H/C) girl in the first-year uniform rest her frame against a near by cherry blossom tree. Her friend stood nearby and laughed at her a bit.
"Oh, come on you big oaf. This will help us find your soulmate. Now get your butt off the ground and find some one who looks like their dying." Blunt words from a blunt girl.
The first girl slid down the tree groaning and huddled into a ball when she hit the bottom.
"Oh, come on, (Y/N)-chan. Help me look." She scanned the large space around them before her eyes landed on the large volleyball player sprawled on the bench.
"Hey, you! Third-year! Does it feel like you're getting stabbed in the stomach with a butter knife?" she yelled, surprising him.
(Y/N) groaned at her friend angrily. "That's not how you treat your superior." But to her own surprise, Ushijima nodded meekly and brought his legs to his chest.
(Y/N) felt like crying, on the other hand. Her friend was smiling brightly, dragging her friend by the ankles toward the unknown third year. (F/N) dropped (Y/N)'s legs once they got beside the park bench.
(Y/N) curled into a ball again as her friend did all the talking. (F/N) stood there before remembering what her best friend had shown her. "Do you have a bruise on your shoulder by any chance," she lifted (Y/N)'s arm and pushed up her sleeve, "one like this?"
Ushijima stared at the poor girls arm before moving his own sleeve.
(F/N) smiled and clapped her hands together, letting (Y/N)'s arm go and fall on her face in the process and making Ushijima flinch.
"Ow."
"Oh would you look at that, (Y/N). You and your soulmate can suffer through the pain together," (F/N) said before pointing at Ushijima, who had now sat up on the bench. "Remember, now that blood is oozing from her uterus, she can get pregnant."
(F/N) pranced away from her friend toward the exit of the school, almost singing.
"So, remember to use a condom!"
(Y/N) whined in pain and Ushijima cringed. He managed to stand up in front of (Y/N) before offering his hand to her.
"I'm Ushijima Wakatoshi," he said. "It's nice to meet you (Y/N)."
She whined in response. "Help me."
