《Haikyuu!! AUs (x Reader)》Kageyama Tobio- Switch

Changing out of your uniform you left the studio. Your gymnastics bag was slung over your sweaty shoulder as you pushed the door open to exit the building. You personally felt exhausted, but the nagging feeling you felt in the bag of your head was completely relaxed.
You closed your eyes for a moment. Seeing those of your soulmate who was seemingly asleep. You sighed lightly and made your way to a café to grab some lunch.
The sandwich was handed to you along with other essential foods for an athlete. You carried it to an open table and dug into it, glancing at your phone for any sort of message or notification.
Only once you came close to finishing your food did a message arrive.
"Hurry up, your gonna be late for track"
You replied to the text from your coach and left the café to walk through the streets of New York City to get to the track field.
~~
Kageyama woke up early that morning. Hoping to get some jogging in before school started.
It was around 6:30am and the sun was only just peeking over the horizon. Kageyama set out for his jog.
By the time he got home he closed his eyes for a moment, seeing this of his soulmate blinking back at him.
Kageyama made his way to school a few minutes later and sat I'm his first period class waiting for it to start.
Kageyama closed his eyes.
~~
As the day went by you became tired and went home. The constant over working of your physical abilities was exhilarating, but wore your energy thin.
You had just come back from your ice skating practice and now you where done for. You dropped yourself on the living room couch and sat the for a while.

You closed your eyes.
~~
The feeling was pleasant to say the least. Both parties had a slight tingling in their spines as it trailed from the lower backs to the top of their necks. A light chill ran over their scalps and stopped between the eyes.
~~
"What the?!"
Looking around, you didn't recognize anything around you, but picked up on the fact that you were in a school.
You stood up and began to walk towards the doors when they were suddenly pulled open.
"Kageyama! You're here early!" a boy with bright orange hair yelled in your direction.
"What's up with your eyes? Are you wearing contacts? They changed colour!"
Looking at the boy. You stepped back a bit to lean on the desk behind you.
"Give me a mirror."
~~~
Unlike you, when Kageyama opened his eyes he was sprawled along a couch. He looked around before fully sitting up and taking in the space around him. In the back of his mind he could feel the anxiety that you were having.
Before he could think of it more, on the table, your phone vibrated indicating there was an incoming call.
Kageyama hesitantly picked it up, swiping his thump along the screen to pick up the call.
"Hello?" his voice sounded higher. Not entirely, but noticably different than what he was used to.
"Ah, (Y/N)." the caller said. "I hope you're packed up for tomorrow morning. Your flight is at 9am."
"Flight?"
"Did you forget already? You have a flight to Japan tomorrow, your gymnastics tournament? We talked about it a few hours ago."
"Oh-uh ya, just slipped my mind." Kageyama stumbled out.
"It's alright. I'll be there in the morning to pick you up." the caller said.
"A-okay."
Putting down the (F/C) phone Kageyama shook his head with a sigh.
"Out of all the people it could happen to it had to be us."
~~~~
You could feel the stress that your soulmate was feeling. The small kid on your arm wasn't helping either
"Kagayama!" Hinata whined pulling on your arm. "Slow down we're not going to be late."
You did as asked and let Hinata take a step to catch up before walking again.
"What's with the sudden interest in gymnastics anyways? I thought you only liked volleyball." Hinata pouted, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Oh-uh, I heard there was a big tournament going on. So I thought it would be cool to check it out."
"You mean check the girls out." Hinata commented teasingly.
"Guys do gymnastics too." you huffed.
You walked ahead and opened the doors to the building where the competition was taking place.
"Jeez, your even more grumpy than normal."
"Just get in." you said.
Walking to the area where your first section was taking place, you took a seat in the first row to sit above the competitors and get a good view of, well, yourself shaking in your seat.
"Hey, Kageyama, I'm going to go to the bathroom."
~~
Kageyama felt like he couldn't move, if riding a plane plane with a stranger wasn't enough, now he was wearing a right outfit in someone else's body waiting to jump into a competition he knew nothing about.
"Hey, Kageyama, I'm going to go to the bathroom."
Kageyama stopped shaking, unmistakably hearing the voice of Hinata right behind him. He turned around to make eye contact with himself. Or what looked like him.
"Hi, Kageyama." they said sticking their hand out.
Kageyama reached for it with a nod.
"Hello, (Y/N)."
~~
Luckily, the simple contact made between the two of you was enough to switch you back. Though the feeling of adrenaline was still evident in both of your veins.
Once you made it back to your seat you turned to look at the boy behind you.
He could feel your heart racing and vice versa.
Kageyama was about to say something, but you turned to your coach (what Kageyama thought was a stranger) and asked for something.
"I'm getting tired of New York. Could I train in Japan instead?"

600 years have passed since the fall of civilization. The earth went through massive changes and core beasts now reign supreme. All that still exists of mankind are ruins and a scattering of walled cities. Festering pits of the worst humanity has to offer, protected by "knights" clad in a mech-like technology called armor. This is my second attempt at a story. I haven't been writing for more than 3 or 4 months all combined. I hope to improve as I go. This is first and foremost a learning experience for me.

Continuity
I’m writing this all down because I don’t know what else to do with it. This whole experience has been so completely insane that I must record it so people in the future can understand what is going on. Maybe someday someone else can make sense of it. Maybe that person is you, I have no idea. JR awakens from a dream to find that he is late for work! When he tries to call in, he realizes that something is not right. That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
