"Stop staring, you're gonna freak them out."
"I can't help it! And you're staring too so don't talk."
You sat on the bench near the exit of the school. You sat waiting for your friend to finish talking to the English teacher so you could go home. The book in your lap was around half way finished and the amount of pages read grew with every minute. It was quite and peaceful for most of the school had left except for those in clubs.
"Eh! (L/N)-san!" Kageyama, who seemed to come from behind a tree, yelled as he dragged his classmate by the collar.
"Hinata has something to ask you."
Letting go of his collar, Kageyama dropped the redhead at your feet so he was kneeling down to your height sitting.
"I-uh want t- to know... I want to know what book your reading!" he rushed out followed by a slap in the back of the head from Kageyama.
"What was that?!"
"I tried, okay?!"
Tilting your head at the whispered conversation, you inturupted with an answer.
"It's called (B/N). It's really good."
Hinata pushed himself back to his feet before grabbing Kageyama's hand and walking away likely in the direction of the gym.
"O-okay! Thanks!"
~~
"Try again."
"Why?!"
"Because you've failed 10 times now and (L/N)-san is probably getting suspicious. There's a festival this weekend. How about you ask them before someone else does?"
Nodding, Hinata made his way over to where you sat talking with your friends.
"I finished last night. I want the next book to come out though." you said.
"Calm down, okay? The author can't catch up with your obsessive reading habbits." (F/N) said back.
"Okay, okay." you nodded, "I'll just get another book at the festival on Saturday. I'm sure the books there will be cheaper."

Coughing for your attention, Hinata stood on the other side of the table where you and your friend sat.
"Speaking of festival, (L/N)-san, would you like to go with me?"
Hinata played with his hands as you leaned over to whisper in your friends ear.
"This isn't how it goes in the stories. What you I say?!"
Confused, but not surprised, your friend laughed and slapped the back of your head.
"Ow!"
"You say yes, you dumbass!"
Hinata stood still feeling the burning stare of Kageyama from behind him. Looking over his shoulder he made eye contact with a glaring Kageyama who mouthed the words: Say something.
Nodding again, Hinata looked at you who was still rubbing the back of your head when your friend spoke up.
"Sorry, this bookworm is so into reading they seem to have forgotten basic human interactions. (Y/N) would love to go to the festival with you."
~~~
Though somewhat awkward, the date in Hinata's mind went well. For you though it went amazingly. You both looked through various books available in muiltiple book stands at the festival and you ended with a whole back as Hinata had a couple in his hands.
The night went on and when you got to the last stand you found a book that your aunt had recomended and you were firing to read. Picking it up, handed it to the lady running the stand and she nodded telling you the price. You pulled your wallet out and handed her money as you found it.
Only to come out ¥100 short.
"Agh, come on. I must have one somewhere."
Hinata noticing your stress from across the self walked over handing the woman the needed money and taking the book.
"Here."
Stopping your rummage through your bag. You looked over at Hinata who held the book in his hand toward you.
As the clock struck 12, the fireworks were sent off to mark the ending of the first day of the festival.
Gently grabbing it you held it colds to your chest with a smile.
"Thank you, Shoyo."
