《Only Mine (Kagehina) (Kageyama x Hinata)》Chapter 17

It was the next day meaning a fresh day where Hinata could meet with Kageyama and they could start their journey of trying to jog his memory. Thankfully it was the weekend, they had a whole day to spend together and Hinata was jumping with excitement. He felt like he hasn't been able to hang out with Kageyama for so long and now the time, after he has been awaiting for for the past 2 weeks, is coming closer when they will finally reunite.
Just as it turned 10 Hinata met up with Kageyama at the front of their coaches shop, although Kageyama needed the address to get there as he could have gotten lost if he hadn't.
"Okay so today I've planed to go to a special place, it was our spot where we would hang out when things got difficult." Hinata said with a beaming smile on his face. With that Hinata started walking towards hits favourite spot, which of course was the field by the lake. This spot must trigger done sort of memory, so many heartfelt things happen there. Kageyama followed Hinata like a lost puppy, observing how this smaller man happily hopped in front of him. He found it quite adorable and smiled to himself, excited to what he has to offer.
It didn't take long for both boys to find themselves once again at this magical place.
"Wow no wonder we liked coming here," started Kageyama, taking in the views in front of him. "But I still can't remember anything." Hinata could feel slight disappointment building inside of him. Although he couldn't let that change his mood, he had to be strong now, especially in front of Kageyama.
"That's okay." Hinata let out despite hoping for different results. Hinata say down on the grass taking in the beaming sun in front of him. He let his skin soak in the sun rays, he heard how Kageyama sat set to him, probably mimicking his movements and also letting him enjoy the sun.

Hinata heard Kageyama take in a deep breath.
"Can I ask you something?" Hinata turned around concerned, the tone of Kageyama's voice made it seem like this wasn't just any normal question.
"Yeah of course." Hinata replied, stiff, afraid as to what was going on inside Kageyama's head.
"I was reading our text messages last night," Kageyama stopped and took a moment before he started talking again. "We weren't just friends were we?" Hinata whole body froze, he felt like he was being exposed for something he shouldn't have done.
"Yeah, you're right, we were dating." Hinata answered, afraid as to what Kageyama's reaction was going to be.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was scared of your reaction, I know you probably don't feel the same anymore so I didn't want to make you even more confused." Hinata was looking down at the grass unable to face Kageyama, for some odd reason he felt ashamed like he did something wrong. "I really loved you."
"Loved?" That's when Hinata realised the heartfelt words he's been keeping in for the longest time, his eyes widened as embarrassment empowered throughout his whole body. He wanted to say something, anything to make the situation less embarrassing yet he couldn't spit out any words. "Do- do you still love me?"
Hinata looked up at Kageyama as he spoke those words, Kageyama's face was tinted brightly red. Hinata had to take a second before processing the question he was just asked. There was no turning back now, he might as well go all out and expose everything that was on his mind.
"Well of course I still love you!, You might have lost your memories of when we were together but you're still you, and I love you."

"I'm so sorry, I wish I could feel the same way." Hinata's heart sank when those words came out of Kageyama, although he couldn't blame him. You could say they practically just met in Kageyama's world and he knew he didn't mean it in an menacing way. "I can't change anything right now if it comes to my emotions, I can tell I loved you too even if I have never said it before to your face. From everything that you have told me, it seems like you pulled me out of my own nightmare of loneliness. Thank you Hinata." Both boys turned around to look at each other, there was a glimmer in Kageyama's eyes, his eyes shining from the reflection of the sun.
Then he smiled. A soft smile that Hinata missed so much, he could feel his whole body longing for Kageyama's touch. Kageyama was so close to him yet he couldn't do anything.
"You're going through a lot right now aren't you?" Kageyama continued, staring deep into the toffee coloured eyes in front of him. Hinata looked down, he hated to admit it when Kageyama has literally forgotten a big chunk of him life, clearly going through much worse, but he was going through a lot, he felt like crying every night. He felt the guilt building up like it was his fault that all this was happening. He felt- "Do you want a hug?" That question stopped Hinata's train of thought as he looked up to make sure he wasn't hearing things. Kageyama sat there with his arms opened towards Hinata. A rush of adrenaline rushed through Hinata as he lunged himself at Kageyama, nearly knocking him over.
He missed his touch, the way he smelled and the comfort he felt whenever he was in his arms. He could feel secure and safe whenever he was being cuddled like this. Kageyama might act like someone who doesn't care but he had a huge heart, and he knew Hinata needed this after acting so strong for the both of them.
Hinata buried his head into Kageyama's shirt, once again tears falling down, he couldn't help himself after finally being able to be comforted by his raven haired boy. Kageyama started stroking Hinata's hair without realising, maybe it was a habit he forgot he had.
Hinata finally felt like for once things were going in the right direction, he wanted to loose himself in this dream that he was experiencing, pretending like his problems have faded away just like that. At the end of the day that's the kind of effect Kageyama had on him, with him he didn't have to worry about life problems. With him it was just them two against the world and as cheesy as that sounds that's exactly what the two boys felt at that very moment.
Clinging to each other like the world was going to end. And they sat there like that for the next few minutes, forgetting about all the troubles in the world.
