Thank you so much to everyone who has read Dying to be thin, it is a subject which many people dont feel comfortable talking about or even thinking about. I wrote this book to get across the signs and side effects of having an eating disorder and to educate readers into knowing how to help someone and the recovery process.
If any of you are going through something like Lauren went through I'm not going to say it is going to be easy to get better and back to yourself but you need to fight to get better and beat the illness. More than 1.6 million people in the UK are affected by eating disorders, There are more deaths from eating disorders than from any other mental illness, and it is estimated that 10% of all sufferers die as a result of their condition, it isn't a laughing matter it's a serious illness that many people treat like a taboo subject and if one of you ever need anyone to talk to about anything or even the like event that happened in the book then any one of you can always inbox me :)
