《Mommy's House》25

THE SKY was quickly falling into a deep navy colour, and the entire time Bella watched, she played with the idea that it could quite possibly be her last time ever watching a sunset again. Her and Cole were being shoved into Mommy's house, and Bella couldn't stop looking over her shoulder, towards the woods Elliot had disappeared into.
"Jesus-" Cole started, before his skin instantly fell pale.
Bella noticed that he was staring at Sir, who was laying on the ground coated in blood, his hood off and his white eye uncovered as it stared up at the ceiling. Bella's heart dropped into her stomach and she felt burning bile begin to pierce the sides of her throat as she stared at his open wound and the knife inside of it.
Her mouth fell open as Mommy stood over Sir's motionless body and smiled a little bit.
"He was too clueless for his own good, you know," Mommy spoke, kneeling down beside his body with the gun still tight in her grip. "And my selfish daughter had to use that against him. Look where he is now," Mommy spoke, her narrowed, beady eyes flicking towards Bella. "Look where he is."
Bella swallowed hard and backed into Cole, her heart racing and pounding in her throat.
Mommy stood to her feet and made it known that if either of them tried to dart for the open door right beside them, they would instantly regret it. Mommy stepped over to Bella, her small eyes boring into Bella's large and terrified eyes, as her lips twisted into a sadistic grin.
"I won," Mommy cackled loudly. "I won, and your father lost."
Tears were forming in her eyes as she stared at Bella, making her obsidian irises glisten off the dim lighting of the living room.
"I won. I won!" Mommy cried out, clapping her hands together. "I have you guys... I have you! Not him!"
Bella tried not to back down from Mommy, but it was difficult to stare back into her eyes. Bella needed to be strong for Elliot, she needed to get out of there so she could find him. She also needed to be strong for Cole, who was so deteriorated and had lost all hope.
But she couldn't be strong.
She looked away from Mommy, her eyes downcast as Mommy walked over to the open front door and latched it, locking it with a key that hung from a small, frayed rope. She placed the rope securely around her neck and looked at the two of them.

"You..." Mommy whispered, her eyes glistening as they flicked towards Cole.
Mommy reached over to Cole.
"I've made you so weak, I'm not even afraid you'll do anything to me anymore," Mommy cackled, and Bella watched Cole swallow hard as Mommy tried to grasp his hand.
Cole flinched and pulled his hand away instantly, but Mommy stopped him easily and grabbed his wrists. He was incredibly weak and, much to Bella's surprise, he did not even try to fight back.
Mommy gripped his hand again, the gun lifting slightly as she pulled him towards the hallway. "Come with me," Mommy ordered, her voice stern and harsh.
Bella went to take a step towards the both of them, but Mommy lifted the gun towards her, and her heart stopped for a quick second.
"You stay here," Mommy demanded.
"W-where are you going?" Bella whispered, her eyes large with worry as she glanced at Cole who appeared to be absolutely numb. His light eyes were a dull graphite and his heavy eyelids were dropping.
Mommy ignored Bella's cries and swung a door open, shoving Cole roughly into the room as her small eyes watched Bella from down the hallway.
"I'll leave while you're in there. I'll- I'll call the cops!" Bella screamed out, wanting desperately for her to leave Cole alone.
"I don't care," Mommy laughed, the gun still pointed at Bella. "All I care about is him. So leave, you fucking slut."
"Don't hurt him, please," Bella begged, her voice cracking.
"I just want to talk to him," Mommy said with a light grin on her cracked lips as Bella watched her walk into the room and slam the door shut behind her.
Bella wanted terribly to shout back at Mommy. She wanted to scream at her and knock the gun right out of her grimy fingers but she remained frozen in her spot. Bella stood still and stared at Sir's lifeless body, her heart racing and her chest heaving up and down at an unhealthy rate. She wanted to know what Mommy was planning to do with Cole, and she didn't know what to do to get him out of that position.
Her eyes widened when she remembered Mommy had the gun with her. Cole would surely talk back to her in some way and Bella could only imagine the outcome. She grew terrified.
She stepped over Sir's body on the ground very hesitantly before walking through the kitchen over to the cabinets. Her feet felt as if slime had been stuck to the bottom of them, and they left red, bloody footprints across the tiles.

She could leave out the window, but then Cole would be alone with Mommy. She didn't know what to do, but she knew just what she was doing to him in that room, and it made her stomach turn.
One of the cabinets were filled with different sized bottles of full liqueur, and Bella stood on the tips of her toes to grab a few bottles in her arms.
She looked towards the hallway, before she threw the full bottle of liqueur across the room, where it hit a wall and shattered with a large bang. Clear liquid coated the beige wall and floor of the kitchen, before she threw another bottle with blue tinted liquid inside.
The sound of the glass shattering was amplified and echoed throughout the dingy home.
Bella wasn't surprised when Mommy appeared from the darkness of the hallway, her eyes frantic as she tried to discover the source of the noise. She noticed Bella standing against the kitchen counter with liqueur bottles in her arms, and immediately began walking towards her.
Bella shook her head, before she held a heavy, filled bottle by the neck as a weapon and faced it towards Mommy.
"Don't come near me," Bella whispered, her voice shaking. "I'll- I'll throw another one."
"If you throw another bottle, you and your brother will be dead in seconds," Mommy threatened, her teeth gritted together while her eyes darkened.
"What did you do with him?" Bella asked, her voice rocking and her lip trembling. "What did you do to him in that room? Where is he?"
The edges of Mommy's lips curled into a malicious smile, and Bella gripped the bottle tighter.
"Let's just say, he knows not to mouth off to me anymore," Mommy's tongue gently slithered like a snake across her top lip and Bella couldn't handle how horrified she was.
"What did you do?" Bella screamed loudly, her voice breaking. She was so scared for him.
"Why do you care?" Mommy asked, taking a step closer towards her and tilting her head. "He's mine, and it's not any of your business."
Bella stared at her, her eyes filling with tears.
"You've been waiting to hop on him. You want him, I know you do, you filthy, filthy whore," Mommy spat, taking a step closer to Bella. "Steven is mine. Do you understand?"
Bella was fuming with hot, bubbling anger. "His name isn't Steven! His- his name is Cole! He's sixteen, he's only sixteen!" Bella screamed out at the top of her lungs. "You're doing this to a sixteen year old boy!"
The fact that Cole had yet to walk out of the room terrified her.
"You jealous little bitch. I can't wait to get rid of you," she said, her rotting teeth showing through a vicious grin.
"I'm going to hurt you," Bella told her, her voice shaking, "s-so bad that you'll regret ever hurting us."
"Is that true, Princess?" Mommy asked, her head tilting to the side. "You love me, I know that you do. And I know that you will love the man I have sold you to. He will treat you well."
Bella's heart ached and pulsed in her chest as a tear slid down her face. With an expression void of emotion, she lifted the bottle over her head and gained as much momentum as she could to throw it in Mommy's direction.
Mommy easily moved out of the way, her eyes on Bella as the bottle shattered against the wall and splattered liquid all over them.
"That's it, you dirty slut," Mommy angrily declared, before reaching into the pocket of her loose jeans to find that nothing was there. Her eyes widened as she patted her pockets for her gun, searching but to no avail. Her thin fingers reached up to sift through her straw-like hair in panic.
Bella's lips pulled back into a teasing smile as she held the last bottle in her grip. Mommy's eyes were still dark as they watched Bella carefully.
"If you throw my bottle again, I will kill you," Mommy stated, her raspy voice dripping with poisoned honey.
Bella swallowed hard, before she suddenly noticed Cole standing behind Mommy. His glare was hard and his shoulders were tensed as he quietly pointed the gun in Mommy's direction.
Mommy slowly turned her head towards Cole, her jaw falling open in shock.
"Sweetheart, you would never do that to me," Mommy cackled, entirely void of fear or doubt.
Cole's eyebrows furrowed as he licked his full lips, the gun shaking beneath his terrified grip.
"Vaffanculo. Sei una donna brutta e disgustosa e non vedo l'ora di ucciderti," Cole spoke, his voice gravelly and filled with fear.
"My sweet son, you really do not want to do this," Mommy said, her voice stern and now lacking any humour as she stared at him.
Bella watched as his finger moved to the trigger.
