I woke up feeling refreshed and energetic which was odd for me because I always felt a little tired. Xai'an was standing above the pod looking down at me through the glass while he waited for it to open.
As soon as he could fit, he reached in and grabbed me around the waist. I gave a girlish yelp as he lifted me out and realized that I wasn't in pain anymore. Both my battered limbs functioned normally and I no longer ached like I had been run over by a bus. "Xai'an I feel soooo much better! That thing is amazing!"
"Come." He sat me on my feet and took my hand. Xai'an led me through the halls, passed the trophy room that apparently wasn't impressive and into another hall. The change in scenery was nice. I liked the black walls compared to the bronze. The etchings were similar to what I saw in the other halls.
Xai'an finally came to a stop in what could only be a bedroom. Immediately my eyes went to the gigantic orgy sized bed. Half of it was littered with so many blankets and pillows that I could open up my own IKEA store. But what tugged at my heart were the dozen cat plushies. I had a hard time inagining this 8'6 killing machine standing around looking at cat plushies for me. "This...is for me?"
He nodded immediately. As I looked up to him, I adored the fact that he had no shame or embarrassment about the show of affection. Something told me that if I hadn't liked it, then he would simply go out and try again. My heart grew three sizes just then for him.

"Xai'an...this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me." I squeezed his hand before going to climb on top. "You didn't have to do this you know."
"Z likes soft bed." He said it matter of factly. "Mate must be happy."
I arched an eyebrow at him. Right. The mate thing. Was I really going to just accept it? I mean, it's not like I didn't care enough for him to endure a horrendous amount of torture to protect him. In my time of near insanity, it was him that I thought of. Eventually I just sighed. "Listen, Xai'an...I am thankful for you saving me. Truly, I am. I'm just not sure what to make of this whole 'mate' thing. For starters...I doubt you want to stay here on Earth and I don't want to leave. I have family here. So where does that leave us?"
He crossed those massive arms and just stared at me. At first I wasn't sure if he was going to say anything. Finally his recordings spoke for him. "You can not stay on Earth. Your government will be looking for you. They will use your family against you. If you wish to protect them, you must leave."
His words hit me like a ton of bricks. "How could you possibly know that, Xai'an?" But I had a nagging suspicion…
He motioned for me to follow him. It took me a moment to run up and I was surprised when he took my hand. How did this massive hand that swallowed mine feel so right? I looked up at him while he led the way through the hall, committing every ounce of his muscle to memory. This massive Predator that could slaughter dozens of men practically with his two hands alone was always nothing but gentle with me. What about me made me so special to him?
We ended up in a massive room that I could only call a cockpit or control room. From here there was a window larger than my apartment and I couldn't help but take in the beauty of the scene before me. For miles there was nothing but trees that seemed to steam in the sun. Trees that I had only seen on TV but still recognized stretched up in random heights. Somehow, we were above a rainforest. We were not in America anymore and I hadn't even felt us move.

"See?" Xai'an's voice brought my attention to the desk behind me. I hadn't even noticed that I had walked away from him.
He pointed to the hologram that hovered above the open space in the center of the room. I could see my face from my driver's license photo plastered in several reports and wanted photos in various languages. It even had photos of me in various hair color and length just in case I switched it. The one in English stated that I was a biohazard and extremely dangerous. I was to be taken in with extreme caution. It went as far as to list all my known close connections. My family, all my friends, even Sean as my ex. All of them were listed at huge risk for aiding and abetting a fugitive. Because that's what I was now. There would never be a place where I could go on Earth without walking around with a target on my back and putting the ones I love at risk.
I felt the wind rush from me when Xai'an pulled up photos of my mother at the funeral in Florida. Others were of my sisters smiling, blissfully unaware of the fact they were being watched. They were tracking them. They were fucking tracking them, all because of me.
"Why are they doing this? Xai'an…" It was all I could say. I felt my world suddenly caving in. I really could never go back. They made it impossible for me.
"They would have killed you afterwards if not had Xai'an's blood. Maybe still. Keep Z as prisoner." Xai'an said. "Oomans honorless. Want Yautja technology."
"Is there...any way… that I can let my mother know I'm at least alive?" I whispered it because if I spoke any louder, I would cry.
"Yes. After we leave Earth, so they can not track us." His recordings said.
I nodded faintly. I think he realized how much this was taking a toll on me because he came to me and picked me up. I didn't even realize that he took me back to the room until he sat me down on the bed.
I watched him go to the wall and press his palm against it and trigger a door to open. Then I watched as he slowly pulled off his armor, including his mask, and sat it nearly in place until all that was left was his loincloth.
Seeing him bare like that made my body react shamefully, tightening that space between my legs enough to pull a small sound from me. Which he heard.
I blushed and looked away from him before he could finish looking over his shoulder at me. A small growl made me look up at him. Though he was not a man, I recognized that heated look that men get when they were aroused.
"Z wants Xai'an. Smell it." He said, which only heightened my blushing. At first, I was going to say nothing, but then I did the boldest thing I had ever done with a lover in my life.
I said, "Yes."

Displaced
Sucked into the void without warning, a handful of people from around the globe suddenly find themselves in the foreign world of Scyria, a place filled with people who can jump three times their height, conjure fire from thin air, and perform any number of other inhuman feats. Scattered across the realm and armed with newfound powers far greater than those of the native Scyrians, they each struggle to find their path in this unfamiliar reality. Their unforeseen arrival sends tremors throughout the world, toppling a centuries-long age of relative peace, prosperity, and progress as they each leave their mark on the world in their own ways. But Scyria has its own share of intrigue, even without these unwelcome guests. A major metropolis is wiped from existence out of nowhere, triggering a manhunt across the continent for those deemed responsible. Two feuding nations decide to bring their hostilities to a new level. Blades clash, nations fall, and plots years in the making begin to reveal themselves. This is the story of some unwilling trespassers, taken from their lives against their will and thrown into situations they barely understand. This is the story of some unfortunate Scyrians, their lives blown apart by the newcomers’ sudden and destabilizing existence. This is the story of Scyria, a world with a lost past buried beneath millenia. But as both the Earthlings and Scyrians are about to find out, sometimes the past doesn’t stay buried forever... I marked the story as having Gore, Sexual Content, and Traumatising content because it does contain a bit of all three, though not what I believe is a significant amount. Just wanted to be safe. It does contain a whole lot of profanity, though. That one is very much deserved. In Helberion, a small group of scientists, struggling to make a major scientific breakthrough, is being hampered by assassination and sabotage. Is this the work of the enemy of mankind?
