The clicking of keyboard keys echoed through the silent room as one of the most experienced system analyst or simply "hacker" opened one of the secured iron doors for your teammates.
"Door 4 opened at end of 2nd hallway through the right." you tilted your head, squinting your eyes before sighing. "Oh nevermind it's 1st hallway." you continued, chuckling.
"What the fuck, you made us walk this far just for—" Yamamoto's whine was cut off when a familiar teasing yet stern voice interrupted through the ear piece.
"You haven't walked that far." Kuroo, the boss of the team says, chuckling lowly at the end.
To be honest, he should be the one making plans but no-he's better at fighting anyways so he ordered you to do the working.
A few red dots beeped and appeared on screen making your laid back posture, return back to a concentrated state again. "Mmm, 5th floor." you mutter.
"W-why didn't you tell us earlier?!" Lev, your idiotic boyfriend whines quietly making your eyebrows furrow. "Huh? Why?" you questioned since his voice was a bit shaky.
"I kinda sent them down to the 5th floor for inspecting..." you facepalmed mentally before doing a quiet "tch" to the bed head's words and reply.
"Hallway 3." you paused to lock the side of your lip, "About 7 of them, all armed." you glanced on another pc, moving your swivelling chair to its direction.
"Kenma?" you call out for the quiet sniper as you hear him mutter a 'yes' as you clear your throat. "North..window.." you stopped and thought for a moment.
"Window 14." Kenma hummed again before his line went dead, you're assuming that he already saw the shadows of the people so you just left him to do his business.

"Y/n." you hear Yaku call out as you reply a quiet 'yeah?' back.
"Can't you lift the iron door in the 5th floor, hallway 1 anymore upper?!" you hear the male mother complain making you do a exaggerated 'huhhh?!'
"What do you mean?" you asked, Bewildered as you moved your chair to the previous pc.
"Lev can't fit! He's too tall!" even though you can't hear them, you could practically see the whole team bursting out laughing even though their supposed to be quiet.
You clicked your tounge in a annoyed way, since your line was always online. Lev could clearly hear the annoyance in the click.
"Sorry babe please don't sacrifice me!" he waded making you sigh heavily, "I can't.. Just-just lower your body and walk through." you paused.
"Its not that hard." you rolled your eyes a bit, "Why do you open the door only halfway through?! I'm not that flexible!" Lev complained quietly.
"Oh my fuck Lev..why am I inlove with you?" you mumbled, granting his quiet wishes before clicking your tounge once again.
"Aw th-shit." this made you concerned as you held on the arms of your chair quite tightly.
"Anything wrong?" you waited for an answer for a few seconds before Kai decided to reply.
"Shooting at the 5th floor."
"Shit." you muttered.
Although Yaku had fast reflexes and knew self defence, Lev was the problem here.
Lev only got through a few weeks of training before being sent to this mission, only because this mission consist of alot of people and was a bit tricky.
So long story short.
He has no idea what the hell to do.
"Yaku." you bit your lower lip in annoyance, "Don't leave the idiot. Just don't." he didn't reply, he was too busy which you assumed.

"Y/n-S-San.." Inouka calls out quietly but you remained quiet, "Y-Yaku senpai is here with group 2.."
"Shit."
"Whens the grave?"
"Kuroo not now..."
➳——★——➳
"7th floor, hallway 3 opened." you stated, guiding Lev through the building so he could make it to group 2 with Yaku, Kai and Inouka.
"Wheres the stairs damn it?!" Lev shouted to you while being stuck at the 6th floor making you groan and slightly panic, "End of the 4th hallway Haiba! Quick damn it!" you yelled back.
"Lost target at stairway.. Sorry." you hear Kenma apologise making you click your tounge for the 3rd time.
"Tamahiko Targets at your area?" you asked the 2nd sniper.
"One down..the other one tried to shoot back but played me and escaped.." Tamahiko paused.
"6th floor..can't see.."
.
.
.
"S-shit! I've been hit! Backup!" the team let out a chorus of curse words from Lev's plead as panic took over you.
"Y/n we need you." Kuroo demanded as you glance at the red dots beggining to appear on screen.
"Be there in 5." you reply, the team wasn't even going to ask how you're going to make it that quick without getting pulled over by the authorities.
"Babe.. I got shot by the arm and leg.. Helppp!" you could practically feel like he's crying or something.
"You wanna be an ace do you?"
"Yes.." you hear him quietly mutter while he reloads his gun.
"Aces kill or be killed so shut it." with one last click of a tounge, your last few words make your boyfriend shiver out of excitement.
"Don't die yet." you paused, standing up to grab a few guns. "I have to do first." and with that, your line went dead.

"HAH! FUCK YOU!" Lev shouted, throwing up a middle finger at the now-bleeding enemies on the ground, lifeless.
"He's short but he's awesome!" Yaku kicked his ass making him grunt and groan.
Luckily, after you arrived. Yaku decided to help you save the "newbie's" ass.
"My girlfriend is shorter but she—"
"Lev don't even.."

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

Bleached Nightmare
500 years into the future, technological progress has stagnated. Wracked by a series of problems like climate change, lack of resources and the innate human lust for war, the geopolitical landscape of planet Earth is radically different, and quality of life is far from what it was in the past. While technical development and research into realistically feasible space travel has made leaps and bounds, this has come at the cost of a world that is reeling from centuries of technical stagnation in other aspects of life. The establishment of a mining colony on Mars has led to the discovery of a new, rare material called sarinium; though it is extremely tensile and durable, it has a very low melting point. The discovery of this metal leads to large mechanical infantry- dubbed 'Spirit Striders', they are six to ten meters tall and as famed for the pride they provide a nation as they are a lethally mobile heavy weapons platform. The story follows the character of Marilin, who must both figure the enigma that is her past, and what this means for her allegiances in the future. Despite her genetically physical frailty, she seeks to gain power through a vessel that will channel her wish to change the world- the Spirit Strider. --- I hope you all enjoy my work. This is a story that I began writing over four years ago in my beginning years of high school, and have cast aside unfinished in the past two years. Though it is not up to my current standards, I hope you all may find some enjoyment in it. Happy reading.
