《Haikyuu!! x Male reader one-shots》-Yahaba Shigeru-

I looked at the blonde girl who walked to the court. She's so cute.
"Kindaichi, that girl is so cute." I commented.
"Hm, oh yeah, she is." he blandly said.
"I'm gonna try to get her attention," I said as I grabbed a stray volleyball that was pretty conveniently placed next to my feet. Hm, the author is very helpful. Anyway, I picked it up, and told Kindaichi, "Here goes."
I threw the ball bowling style onto the floor where the girl was walking.
"Excuse me." I said as I put on my handsome face for the girl. Meanwhile Hanamaki-san, and Matsukawa-san were practicing, and Hanamaki-san did a very sloppy bump, and it came to the girl's direction. "Watch ou-"
The ball flew into the sky as the court (and by that I mean me, Kindaichi, Hanamaki-san, Matsukawa-san, Karasuno's libero and the bald opposite hitter from Karasuno) watched. It fell on the floor, as a male with similar skin colour as the girl, (h/c)-blonde mixed hair, and (e/c) eyes received it with a slight smile. He looked back at the girl.
"That almost hit you, didn't it? Be more careful next time, Hitoka." he told the girl calmly, and caringly in a serious tone as he walked off.
"Ah, yes, OK, (Y/n)-nii!" the girl whose name was Hitoka exclaimed as she ran off to catch up with who I assume is her brother.
I blushed immensely at the sight of an actual angelic being. (Y/n), the male manager of Karasuno, who I've only now noticed is an actual charmer. He is actually so beautiful, and seems so calm... just my type of guy.
"Here's your ball." The baldie spiker said, interrupting my thoughts. He handed me the ball, or more of shoved it in my arms.
"Oh, right."
.

We lost to Karasuno... wow. I never thought we'd lose to a fallen powerhouse, but I guess the wingless crows grew new wings, an even stronger one than before. I guess that means they're going against Shiratorizawa. I looked at the male manager named (Y/n). He seems quite sad even though his team won, and was sad-smiling. Maybe he was sad that if he lost the next match, it'll be the last time he manages for Karasuno. I'm not sure, maybe he just feels nostalgic about how much the team has evolved, and grown.

I looked at the team, happy as they could be. I wished I could celebrate as much. I wished I could also celebrate as much as Hitoka right now, but all I felt was sadness taking over me. I don't know why, I wished it just won't be like this. Ugh, I hate it. I was congratulatory, obviously, but I just hate myself. I just hate that I got permanent knee damage that caused me to be the team's libero. It was so bad, the doctor said I can never play volleyball again unless I want to be on a wheelchair for the remainder of my life. I smiled sadly, and got up to give my teammates water. They seemed so happy, Hitoka looked so happy, the coaches looked so happy, the team looked so happy, why can't I be happy, goddamnit! We have a chance of going to nationals, and I'm just sulking about not being able to play. I felt some tears were about to fall. I need to keep my composure, I need to contain my emotions, but fuck... it's so hard to act so emotionless.
"Excuse me, I need to use the restroom." I said.
"(Y/n)-san, do you want us to bring your things to the bus so you don't have to come back here?!" Tanaka shouted.
"Thank you, but I can take care of that myself." I told him as I walked away. "But if I don't come back on time, just take it with you. I can get it back on the bus. Or if I end up not coming back in 5 minutes just leave. I'll walk to the train station myself, and just give my things to Hitoka."
I walked away to the toilet, trying to ignore Tanaka's screaming in the background.
.

.
I really needed to wash my face, since it felt kind of salty from the tears.
"I'll be right back, I need to go to the bathroom." I told the team in the locker room as I put my shirt on, and walked to the bathroom. In the bathroom, I heard some crying. I was confused, and looked down. The angelic (Y/n)-san was crying on the bathroom floor.

"Huh, are you OK?" I panickedly asked. I only got a sob in response. I kneeled down to him, not knowing what to do.
"Aren't you from Aoba Johsai's volleyball club? I saw you on the court." He asked as he wiped away his tears.
"Oh, yeah I am. I'm just a sub, though." I answered him.
"I see. I'm sure you're a great player." He smiled.
"Thank you!" I flabbergasted, furiously blushing.
(Y/n)-san giggled through his tears. "Are you perhaps blushing right now?" He teased.
"Uh, maybe?" I replied unsurely.
"If you say so. Wait, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Yachi (Y/n)," (Y/n)-san introduced himself.
"Yahaba Shigeru." I told him.
"Well, Yahaba, I better get going now. My team is probably waiting for me. Thanks for talking for a bit, it really made me feel better." He smiled as he left the bathroom.
.
.
.
I walked to the parking lot where our school bus was parked, and bibbidi bobbidi boo, the whole team was gone. I checked my phone that displayed a message Watari sent me, saying that the team left because I took too long. Well, if it means I got to have a convo with such an angelic of a human such as (Y/n)-san then, to quote Alexander Hamilton, it will have been worth it. I looked around, (Y/n)-san walked around the block.
"Oh, Yahaba." He greeted me.
"Hello, (Y/n)-san." I greeted back.
"What are you doing here alone?" He asked.
"Uh, my bus left me here cause I took too long..." I told him.
"Oh, was it because of me? I'm sorry," he apologized.
"No, it's fine. I can use the train to go to my house."
"I'm going to the train station as well. We should go together, that way it's safer." (Y/n)-san said.
.
.
.
We were at the bus station. On the way here, we talked so much. I just learned that he was a third year at Karasuno, and we just so happened to live very near each other.
"(Y/n)-san... would you mind if I asked you why you were crying?" I asked.
He sighed. "No, not at all. Hmm, it's been a long while since I've actually mentioned anything about this to anyone, actually. I was actually playing volleyball. I was a libero for my junior high team. Well, the ball was about to fall on our court, so I hurriedly got it. Now, the gym's floor was made of hard concrete, so when I tripped and fell when getting the ball, I scraped it so much, and I don't know how, but I broke my knee. The injury was so bad, I could never play again, so when I saw my team winning, I couldn't help but pity myself for being so envious of my own teammates." (Y/n)-san explained.
"Oh... I'm sorry that happened."
"No, it's fine. And this is my stop." He said as he got up.
"Wait, (Y/n)-san... can I have your number?" I asked, a light blush on my face.
"Oh, of course." He said. He grabbed a piece of paper, and a pen from his shirt pocket, and wrote down his number. "I'll see you, Yahaba."
I smiled. "See you, (Y/n)-san."

The Dungeon Calls for a Sage
Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.

Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
