Park Chaeyoung never thought that she'd ever date someone famous, yet alone another idol.
But falling for Jeon Jungkook felt so natural, just like music became for her. He was the kind of boyfriend that came straight out of a movie—tall, handsome, attentive, and romantic. The minute they became friends, Park Chaeyoung instantly knew that they wouldn't stay friends for long.
She tried, though.
They were friends for over a year before they'd gotten together, and she never expected to date him, at least anytime soon. He'd made his intention clear, even as they were friends—that he wanted her, he wanted the chance to court her and show his feelings off, but she declined.
Park Chaeyoung was scared.
She didn't want to ruin the friendship they built, because as special as it was, every time they'd hang out "just as friends" there was always a feeling in her gut, telling her that they couldn't just be friends.
Friends didn't look at each other the way that they did, at least, that's what Jennie Kim told her one day when she noticed the way that Jeon Jungkook kept staring at the honey blonde.
The pair spend their free time a lot in her apartment, especially because her group will be going on tour soon and he promised to help check up on it occasionally. Tonight, she has her head against his lap as they watch a movie, and she notices the way his eyes slightly squint to read the subtitles.
"Baby, why are you squinting like that?" She questions, slowly peeling herself off his lap, to feel the way he instinctively wraps his arm around her waist as she sits upwards, looking at him, "... is the text too small?"
She turns and reaches for the remote, only to realise that it was already at the biggest text size.
"Hmm, it's fine," he assures her, before rubbing the side of her waist, "... let's watch the movie."
"You should get your eyes checked, we can go together," she suggests.

"My eyes are fine," he tells her.
And he's right.
When they get to the optometrist he's told that his eyes are a perfect 20/20 but on the other hand, hers are not.
"But I don't have trouble reading!" She protests when the optometrist begins to write her prescription.
Jeon Jungkook finds it cute, and fails to suppress his chuckle.
She turns and glares at him, a slight put on her lips which he promises he'll kiss away when they're home alone.
"It's minor," the man in the white coat admits, "... but I'd advise you regularly wear your prescriptions. Contacts are fine too. If you don't, they'll likely get worse in time."
"Babe, it's fine," he reassures her, rubbing the back of her palm with his thumb, "... contacts are good."
"I hate contacts, they dry my eyes," she mutters under her breath, knowing that one of the first things she ever does when she gets home is taking off her coloured contact lens used for performances.
"It's important to take care of your eyes now, they will surely worsen if you don't begin using your prescription lens or contacts," the optometrist tells her.
"He's right babe, in ten years time you won't be able to see our future kids running around and being troublemakers well," Jeon Jungkook jokes, which causes for her to playfully slap the side of his arm.
"Yeah you better put a ring on it first," she retorts before finally giving in.
The pair leave the clinic with contacts and a pair of glasses which Jeon Jungkook assures she looks very cute in, but she swears they're ugly and make her eyes look so small!

In the morning, Park Chaeyoung is frantically crawling on all fours in the bathroom and Jeon Jungkook doesn't know why.
"What's wrong?" He asks her concerned, kneeling only to make her yell at him to stop.
"Stop, you might step on them! I dropped my contacts," she gasps, as she touches around the tiled floor in an attempt to find them.

There's no luck, and her manager is already outside of her door ready to take her to the airport.
"You can just buy a pair in the US babe," he tries to consolidate her, "... I'll ask the optometrist to send a digital copy of your prescription when you're on the plane."
"I don't want to wear my glasses," she pouts.
"Why? You look cute in them," he assures her, rubbing the sides of her arms before leaning in and kissing her forehead, "... come on, your manager is waiting. You'll miss your flight."
He carefully reaches for her glasses from the bathroom cabinet before putting it on her.
"You look cute," he reassures her again.
"It makes me look like I'm twelve!"
He simply chuckles, "... I'll wear mine too to make you feel better the next time I have activities."
"Babe," she looks at him with a stern expression, "... but you look handsome in your glasses, it doesn't mean anything."
"And you look breathtaking in yours, just as you always do. Glasses or not, nothing can take away the fact that there's no one in this universe as beautiful as you."

Jeon Jungkook is a clingy boyfriend and is constantly video calling her, especially now that they're not even in the same continent. It was a little strange at first, to see her putting on her skincare and getting ready for bed while he was out having lunch in broad daylight, but it was things like this that made them feel connected despite the distance.
He spends it in her apartment, because he needs to let the cleaner inside in the morning to do a weekly cleaning before he heads out for his schedule.
Positioning the phone against the cabinet he listens as she recounts her day, about all the adventures and cute cafes she went to and how she had a really good pastry. She tells him to make sure to bring a bottle of water and sanitiser and he does so, taking out his wallet, keys and lip balm only to realise that not everything can fit in his pockets.
He gives her a final look, noticing the way his girlfriend is perched against the bed of the hotel room, wearing a tank top and her glasses (which makes sense because she told him that she was watching Netflix while waiting for him to wake up).
He reaches for his glasses, and she must've noticed because she's lifting a brow at him.
"Why do I feel like you're up to no good?" She asks him cautiously, before watching as he rushes out of frame, taking one of her YSL bags from her room.
Park Chaeyoung notices too, that he suddenly is wearing his eye glasses which didn't even have a prescription!
"Babe, don't—" she warns him, knowing exactly what he's planning because he's done it before with her unrealised YSL bag, "... it's going to cause problems just like the Jennie and Taehyung thing."
He knows, her girlfriend has always been cautious between the two.
"But I need a bag to put everything in," he explains and she instantly rolls her eyes at him.
"You can use a non YSL bag, honey..."
"But the colour of this one is nice. Don't worry I'll shield the logo away from the camera so they won't notice. I'll be lowkey, don't worry. Just trust me. Anyway, I need to go... bye, love you."
The call quickly ends but Jeon Jungkook doesn't head out straight away.
Instead, he changes into an all-black outfit, just like the one his girlfriend showed him days prior as her airport outfit.
Later on that evening, she sends him a text.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
