I hated fighting with Valeria. What if she finally realized how crazy I am and doesn't want to be my friend anymore?
"Chanel," Derrick called from half way up the stairs. "I'm sorry, but my room will be occupied tonight, you're going to have to sleep somewhere else."
Derrick wiggled his eyebrows and smirked. I knew what he meant and it disgusted me.
"Ew! I didn't need to know that," I exclaimed.
"Just a heads up," he shouted from upstairs.
"That my brothers a whore," I yelled back.
"Who's a whore?" Luke asked. He walked in through the front door, the rest of the crew following behind.
"My brother," I answered, nonchalantly.
I caught sight of Valeria, but she didn't look at me. This was the end of our friendship. I didn't want it to be. I get what I want.
"Valeria we are not breaking up," I blurted out.
"What?" She asked. She finally looked at her.
"I don't care that you're mad at me. We are supposed to be best friends, you can't break the code," I told her.
The code was that as long as we wore these bracelets around our left wrists. We had to always forgive each other and be friends again.
"I want to be friends again," Valeria said.
"Me too," I said. We hugged each other.
"What did I miss? Are you guys going to kiss? I would love to see some woman on woman action," Tobias grinned.
We glared at him. He said the stupidest things sometimes.
"You're a douche, Toby," I told him. My accent made it come out French.
"Woah, that was an accent," Valeria pointed out.
"You called me Toby? We're on pet name basis already," Tobias said with glee. "What do I call you?"
Giovanni soon entered the room and grabbed my arm. "Hey! I didn't say you could-"
"Yeah, yeah, I know, just come here," Giovanni snarled. I was not going to come whenever he asked me too. That was not how I am.
I stood my ground and stayed still.
"Chanel, get over here," he ordered. It wasn't going to work on me.
"No," I fought back.
"It's about your father," he snarked.
I stopped and let him carry me to his office. He slammed the door shut and I jumped in surprise.
"What do you want?" I snapped.
"Don't talk to me like that," Giovanni sparked out.
"I will talk to you how I like," I bickered back.
"No you won't if you value your life," he threatened.
"Enough with the empty threats, you say all these things, but never go through with them," I shouted.
I was starting a fight with him again.
Giovanni didn't say anything. He came towards me and I stepped away from him. I didn't know what he'd do when he was angry and seemed pretty angry.
I felt my back smash against the wall and both his hands slammed on the wall, trapping me there.

I felt my breathing shorten and my heart pick up. We were alone in a closed room. My throat closed up and my head spun.
"You're playing a dangerous game, princess," he grunted out. We were so close, my hands started to tremble.
I gulped. I felt intimidated he was taller and stronger than me. He could do anything to me.
"I-I'm sorry," I choked out. My eyes watered as my mind thought of things he could do to me. "I . . ." I sputtered. "I'll stop, just please d-don't hurt me."
Tears fell down my cheeks as much as I wanted them not to it happened.
I tried to push him away, but he wouldn't budge. He glared at my hand and I lowered it in fear.
"Please," I sobbed.
"We'll talk later, go to our room," he ordered.
He backed away from me and I could breathe once again. I felt my knees shake, they would collapse at any second.
"Our room?" I asked. My eyes wide in surprise. "I'm not sharing a room with you."
"And she's back," Giovanni grumbled under her breath. "You know you're really getting on my nerves. I said something and I mean it, now do it."
I jumped at the raise of his voice. I scurried out of his office and in the living room. I saw Valeria on the couch with Tobias and the rest of the crew at the kitchen table. That's where they have their meetings it seemed like.
I turned to go upstairs with just one problem. Which room was his?
I was not going to sleep with him, if that's what he thinks. I swore off boys. I was never going to be with a guy ever. Maybe not ever, but for now.
I opened up the door of the room beside Derricks room. It was a room similar to him, but it have a huge poster of fluffy hair. That had to be Tobias's room. I giggled at the sight. He really was obsessed.
I walked out and into the next room. I spotted a boring room with not much decoration. That had to be Grae's. I scoffed at the room. Typical Grae.
The next room was different it was full of surf boards and she'll necklaces. Luke was a surfer. I saw a surf board in the corner. Who knew undercover criminals liked to do normal things.
The room was bright and colourful. I couldn't believe Luke liked stuff like that. Although thinking about it he does remind me of a surfer with his hair like that. I wonder where he would surf.
I shut the door behind me and looked in the next room. There were two rooms left. They were both on the other end of the hallway. I opened the first one to be surprised with a room of pictures. There were picture frames of families and a piano near the wall.
There was a picture of a family. A pregnant woman and a man laughing with a little boy. The young woman was pretty. The boy looked happy, he looked like Giovanni as a child. It's crazy how his eyes held life in them, now they're so cold.

I slid my thumb against the glass protection. The woman had a baby bump and the man was holding onto it. They were all happy, but again it was a picture. It's an instinct to smile for a picture.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Giovanni roared.
I jumped in fear almost dropping the picture. I placed it down nicely on top of the piano beside the other pictures of the woman.
"I told you to go to my room," he continued. He was mad. I wasn't supposed to be in this room. "You don't ever listen, you deserve to go back to the basement."
I looked away. I understand and I entered some place he probably wanted private.
"I didn't know which one it was," I answered, quietly. My voice came out as a whisper. I felt like I just got caught wearing my mother's makeup as a child when she prohibited me not too.
"So you enter random rooms? This one doesn't look like a bedroom, does it?" He growled.
He grabbed ahold of wrist and I whimpered in pain. He brought me into the last room and shut the door behind us. I looked between him and the door which was now locked.
He was angry and I was locked in a room with him. It was like being meat in a lion cage. I was prey to the hungry lion.
"Don't enter that room ever again," Giovanni bellowed. His stern voice rang through my ears.
I quickly nodded my head. I backed away from him. I learned that it makes it worse if you fight against them.
He approached me and I cowered in fear. I glared down at the bed and from how close we are to it.
I wanted to be with Derrick at home, sitting by a ford and reading bedtime stories to each other. I wanted to be anywhere but here.
I quickly grabbed a pillow from the bed and shielded myself from him with.
He snorted. "You really think a fluffy pillow is going to protect you from me?"
I just shook my head, profusely. I didn't want him any closer to me. I was speechless I couldn't think of anything to say. The fear was clawing at my throat.
"What? No sassy remark?" He asked. "Is this scaring you?"
He slowly came towards me and I backed away into the corner. I was trapped. He could easily get me.
"You're angry." That was all I could say. He seemed to get what I was saying though.
He kneeled down to me and reached his hand out. I flinched and squeezed my eyes shut.
He growled. "I wasn't going to hit you." He placed his hand on my hand and tried to take the pillow from my grasp. I clutched on to it and refused for him to take it.
"No," I said.
"Listen," he seethed out. He tried to calm down because he knew he was just going to scare me more. "I won't hurt you, you have to trust me."
I snorted. "Trust you?"
"I guess you'll have to," he said.
"I will never trust you, you're just like them," I told him. My hands were trembling.
He grabbed a hold of my hands to try and calm them down. "You're cold."
He got up and I watched his every step, cautiously. What was he going to do now? He took off his Rolex watch and placed it on his dresser. He turned to me.
"Who am I like?" He asked.
I'm not going to tell him. I didn't trust him yet. I didn't trust anyone yet except for Valeria and Derrick.
He grabbed a blanket and covered me with it. Why was he doing this?
"L-Like . . ." I tried to speak.
"I'm not like anyone, Chanel," he said. "I won't hurt you, you've done nothing, okay?"
"No," I shook my head. "You'll hurt me. In the basement," I whispered.
"No, look, I-I'm sorry about saying those things to you, I wasn't actually going to do it," he struggled. He doesn't apologize often, I could tell. He took the pillow out of my arms and placed it back on the bed.
I covered my ears. I didn't want to hear his excuses. They wouldn't make me trust him. "No, I can't hear you."
"Of course you can't you're blocking your ears," he muttered. He's back to his old self. "This is what I get for trying to be nice. You know what I'm not going to be nice anymore."
I looked at him and removed my hands from my ears. What did he mean?
"We still need to get back to your father, I've decided to just stick with a finger. We'll send him your finger and he'll get a warning," Giovanni said. "He'll hey what's coming to him."
I whimpered. He was still going to cut off a part of me. I brought my hands to my chest to try and shield them from him.
"Y-You said you wouldn't hurt me," I stuttered.
He tried to grab my finger, but I pulled it away from him. I held it close to my chest. He was not going to chop my finger off.
"No," I snivel.
He grabbed my hand roughly and I clawed at his arm with my other one to get it out of his grasp. Was he going to cut it right now?
He looked at my hand and examined my fingers. He was probably thinking about how he was going to chop through the skin.
"Let go," I whined.
"Stop moving, I'm not literally going to cut it, princess," he told me.
I let out a breath of relief. "What are you going to do?"
"Replicate it."
