'I'm telling you, the chocolate frogs are over here!'
Mercy groaned following her grandmother who insisted to go shopping in Diagon Alley, sometimes Alice acted like a teenager.
Mercy caught up with Alice as she smiled and pointed to the bin over flowing with Chocolate Frogs. Mercy nodded, grabbing two and adding them to her trolley she left her grandmother to roam around on her own. Walking down isles she picked out different assortments of candy.
'Mercy! Honey, where are you?'
Mercy groaned looking for her loud grandmother, hunched over three isles behind her was Alice.
'Yes?' asked Mercy
'I found your favourite' she smiled handing her a box
'Berty Botts every flavour beans?'
Alice nodded eagerly
'These are disgusting' Mercy laughed 'the last time I had these I was out with Newt'
'Come on, lets go pay'
Mercy followed Alice still holding the box of jelly beans, placing them on the counter with her other goodies. Alice stepped up and shoved Mercy out of the way, insisting she'd pay for this treat.
The wind hit Mercy as she stumbled out of HoneyDukes, her grandmother let out a loud laugh 'you clumsy child!'
'Thanks Gran' Mercy mumbled regaining her balance
'Now, that you get from your mother'
Mercy straighten out her coat before following Alice down the busy street, they walked by many new businesses before running into her.
'Why don't we get you a wand?'
'I've already got a wand' Mercy said taking her wand out of her coat pocket
'You never use magic' she heard her whisper before hobbling off
Mercy watched as people pushed by, many lonely mothers walked by holding their child's hands as did fathers. Mercy tripped once more before noticing her grandmother was far ahead of her, she ran after her as she entered a store Mercy had never been in.

She walked into a pet store, owls, cats, toads, rats, snakes and even bats were surrounding them.
'We should get you a pet' Alice spoke
'No, I won't be able to take care of it'
'Yes you will, when you were younger you wanted a cat' she said walking off
'I don't need a cat'
Alice ignored her granddaughter as she walked deeper into the store, Mercy huffed chasing after her again. Mercy approached her slowly as she whipped around holding a black and white kitten 'look at it!' Alice exclaimed moving it closer to Mercy's face. Mercy grinned staring at the little kitten, she gently took it and held it in her arms.
'It's so adorable' she mumbled
'It's my late birthday gifts to you!' Alice said dragging Mercy to the check out desk
'Your not buying me a cat'
'Oh yes I am, all the birthdays I've missed! Here's all those gifts turned into one' she smiled paying the man
'Oh, merlins beard' Mercy mumbled examining the cat 'it looks like he's wearing boots'
Alice chuckled as she bid the man farewell, Mercy stopped 'I need to buy cat food and all the supplies' she frowned 'how could I forget that'
'You go in and I'll wait right here'
Mercy nodded handing her grandmother the cat before rushing back inside. Walking over to the back of the store Mercy spotted all the cat tools. Picking out a bowl and a collar as well as some food she marched to the check out section and payed, waiting for the man to put all her items into a bag Mercy could hear her grandmother laughing. Mercy took the bag from the man before rushing outside to see Alice with a large smile on her face, Mercy shot her a confused look as she approached her.

'Were you just talking to someone?'
'Oh yes, that boy! Newt was his name I believe' she smiled
'What? Impossible' Mercy whispered looking around for any sign of him
'Nothing's impossible, he said he's staying in London for a bit'
'You must be hallucinating, might be an old age thing' Mercy said grabbing her grandmothers arm before dissaperating back home.
•••
Mercy rushed to the kitchen, grabbing the bowl for her kitten she filled it up with milk before setting it down on the floor. Alice made her way in gently placing the kitten on the floor, it instantly wandered off into the living room.
'Better it explores the house, gets used to it' Alice smiled grabbing a water bottle from the fridge
'What should his name be?' Mercy asked staring at the milk on the floor
'It's up to you, it is your kitten'
Mercy sighed leaving her grandmother in the kitchen, Mercy threw herself onto her couch as she stared at the ceiling. The kitten gracefully jumped up onto the couch, curling up into a ball on Mercy's stomach.
'What should your name be?' Mercy mumbled as a soft purr escaped it's tiny lips 'I'd say Boots but that's not creative'
Alice joined Mercy on the last bit of couch that remand unoccupied, she smiled down at her granddaughter and her new friend.
'His name needs to begin with an 'A'' Alice spoke
'And why is that?'
'Because my name begins with 'A', obviously' Alice chuckled petting the tiny animal
'If anyone got to know you, Gran. They would say you have the spirit of a teenager, considering your like 89 I'd take that as a compliment'
'The key is to make it work' she grinned 'name it Archie'
'Why Archie?' Mercy asked sitting up
'That was my first ever crushes name'
'Wow' Mercy chuckled
'We were engaged when we were twenty but he passed away from cancer'
'Oh, I'm so sorry' Mercy said staring at Alice who looked as if she was going to cry
'It's fine, it was a long time ago and most people don't know' she shrugged
The doorbell rang.
'Archie it is, then!' Mercy grinned standing up keeping the kitten in her arms, she swung open the door to reveal a young girl.
'Are you Miss Mercy Langton?'
'Yes'
'I have an order for one red rose'
Mercy sighed waiting for the clipboard but it never came, the girl just handed the rose to Mercy and took off down the street. Mercy shrugged shutting the door, walking to the kitchen she placed Archie on the ground before placing the rose with the rest of them. She checked the petals for any secret note that may have been waiting for her to find, alas there was one. Pulling it out and quickly unraveling it Mercy read;
She took a deep breath starring down at the smudged handwriting that she could finally recognize, beaming she clutched the parchment tightly with both hands. Her past feelings rushing into her as if they never left, like they never hid. It had been four years and she was still in love with Newton Scamander.

Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Trying to discover his place in the world, Jerry will live great adventures. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk.
