《Oh Captain My Captain! (Haikyuu)》Chapter 23

Sleeping next to Tsukki was much different, the room was very quiet and everyone seemed on edge. You could feel everyones eyes on the two of you, making falling asleep that much harder. Excitement for the following week was also making sleep a struggle. You finally dozed off late into the night and morning came quickly.
You launched out of bed, excitedly waking the boys so that everyone could pack and get on the road. They weren't as ready for the day as you were and it took a lot of effort to get a few of them out of bed. Kenma was the worst, he had stayed up late playing his video game and now wouldn't budge.
"Ken Ken, please wake up" you pleaded laying down on the ground next to him. He grunted pulling the covers closer to his chin, scooting closer you tried again "Pretty please???" you asked.
He made a quick movement lifting the cover and pulled you underneath next to him in one swift action. Snuggling his head into your chest, he wrapped his arms around your back holding you tightly.
"Stay..... Kitty.... Please" he mumbled in his half asleep state.
"Fine but only for a few minutes" you chuckled and nuzzled into his hair.
About an hour later everyone was up and packed and ready to load the buses. The entire Karasuno team was going on the trip with you, along with Kuroo, Kenma, Lev, Bokuto and Akaashi. The rest of the other teams had other plans for the remaining time off from school.
"Okay Everyone this bus is for us so let's get loaded up and head out, we have a bit of a drive ahead of us" Ukai said patting the side of the bus before getting in and taking the driver's seat.
"Would you like to sit with me?" Hinata excitedly ran up to ask.
"Actually she is sitting with me, sorry Hinata" Daichi came up taking your hand in his.
"Oh am i? I didn't remember making that decision" you teased.
He laughed and guided you towards the bus, he found a seat towards the back letting you sit by the window. Everyone else quickly filled up the other seats fighting over who got to sit on all sides of you, Tanaka and Noya won the seat behind, Bokuto and Akaashi won the seat in front and Suga and Asahi took the seat beside you ignoring the many complaints from the others. The bus soon set off towards the camp site and everyone settled into the somewhat long drive.
"Did you have fun at the training camp?" Daichi asked to start a conversation.
"Yes actually, it was a lot of fun and I feel like I learned a lot about our future opponents" you smiled.
"Good we can use all the help we can get" he sighed. You rested your head on his shoulder, he took your hand in his lacing his fingers with yours. You both sat quietly for awhile, enjoying watching the scenery change from a busy city to rolling farm lands.

"Hey Daichi?" you asked.
"Oh its Daichi now? I thought you had changed it to Daddy" He joked.
You leaned up and lightly punched his arm "Shutup! That was an accident I swear!" you said laughing.
"Well feel free to make that accident again, just preferably when were alone so I can do something about it. You have no idea how hard it was to keep myself under control, I wanted to have you right then and there" he said running his eyes down your body.
"You can call me Daddy too" Bokuto said turning around in his seat and peering over the back of the seat down at you. Everyone laughed and Akaashi grabbed the back of his shirt pulling him back down into his seat.
"Sit down and shutup Bokuto" Akaashi said shaking his head.
"But why??? I want to talk to my Baby owl too" He pouted crossing his arms and looking out the window.
You reached up beside the seat and stroked his cheek "You will get plenty of time to talk to me I promise" you said. He grabbed your hand planting a kiss on your palm, sending sparks of excitement through your arm.
The scenery soon changed again from farm land to dense forest meaning you were close to your destination. Ukai pulled up to the gate and you made your way to the front of the bus to check in and figure out where the camp site was.
"Okay so everything we will need for the trip was supposed to be delivered so we will just have to set up all the tents when we get there. Everyone will have to share a tent with someone else so might want to pick your tent buddy now." You stood at the front of the bus explaining to the group.
"Can I pick you as my tent buddy?" Bokuto asked from the back of the bus.
"Actually I have my own tent because I'm going to store the food in one side of it, Ukai also has his own tent so no one will need to pick him." You shrugged.
"Can I just make Akaashi sleep in the tent with the food and you sleep with me?" Bokuto suggested. You couldn't help but laugh at how insistent he was being.
"Not going to happen Owl boy" Kuroo said rolling his eyes.
"Were here everyone" Ukai said putting the bus in park.
"It looks like one of the tents has already been setup and its huge" Hinata said with wide eyes.
"That's weird I wonder why" you said confused. Ukai opened the bus door and you started walking down the steps, you were shocked when a familiar face appeared in the tent.
"Ushi??" you yelled excited. He stepped out of the tent and opened his arms wide, running towards him you leaped up into his arms. He smiled spinning you around and you wrapped your arms around his neck and legs around his waist.

"What are you doing here?" you asked shocked to see him.
"Your parents called me and told me about your little trip and asked if I would come setup a few things for you" Ushijima said smiling.
"Eww take it all back then" you rolled your eyes.
"Don't be like that" he said tucking some hair behind your ear.
"You didn't see how they treated my friends and all the crap they said" you huffed.
"I'm sure they deserve it, but don't get upset about it. I came out here and set all this up for you, at least act happy about it for me, okay?" He smiled resting his forehead against yours.
(On the bus)
"Is that...Is that Ushijima Wakatoshi?" Suga asked eyes wide in shock.
"I think it is" Asahi said equally shocked.
"How do they know each other?" Hinata asked.
"Better question is, is he actually smiling??" Noya asked.
"I think so, which is creeping me out. I've only ever seen him straight faced, he hardly even speaks in interviews when they can convince him to be on camera" Tanaka added.
"He actually looks nice which is weirder to me. I've seen him at Nationals before and he hardly even looks my direction" Bokuto said.
"I'm going to go say hello" Hinata stood up determined. He quickly walked off the bus and the rest of the boys followed behind.
"Hey Wakatoshi what are you doing here?" Hinata said walking towards the two of you. Ushijima pulled his head away from yours glancing over your shoulder towards him. His face quickly dropped from a smile to his normal blank scary stare, making Hinata nervous.
He looked back at you and slowly lowered you to the ground, taking your hand in his he lead you to the tent. "Come I'll show you what I put together for you" He said walking away from the others.
"Hinata boke you made him mad" Kageyama said hitting him in the head.
"I didn't do anything I swear" Hinata pleaded rubbing his now sore head.
"You just had to say hi" Tanaka said shaking his head.
Ushi lead you into the tent and zipped the door closed behind him. "Okay over here is where you will sleep, he unzipped an inside door revealing a very decorated area. He had brought in an actual mattress, nice sheets, a comforter and an arm full of fluffy pillows. Twinkly lights had been hung up around the edge giving everything a nice glow. There was even a small night stand with a vase filled with your favorite flowers.
"You don't think this is a little much? I'm supposed to be camping not staying in a hotel room" you joked.
"The bed was your parents idea, but the lights and flowers were mine. I just wanted it to be cozy for you" he said the smile returning to his face.
"You even remembered my favorite flower? That's so sweet!" you said batting your eyelashes making him blush.
He lead you to the other side of the tent "Over here is all the food that you had delivered, along with a few extra things I picked up. Your favorite snacks are in here, and this chest is filled with bottles of water. This bag over here has your first aid kit, sunblock, and bug spray. The fire pits are already setup outside, just need to get the wood. The atv's are also parked outside and I havn't gotten the volleyball our paintball equipment out of my truck yet" he explained going over everything.
"Do you wanna stay and camp with us? You could always stay with me!" you winked.
"I wish that I could but I've got some things to do at home, I could probably join in a few days though if you want" he shrugged.
"I'll take what I can get! Now let's get the rest of the stuff out of your truck" you turned walking towards the tent door unzipping it. Stepping out you were met with several scared looking faces.
"Guys this is Ushijima, which I'm sure you already knew that. He was asked to come setup a few things for me" you explained introducing him to the group. He gave a slight head nod acknowledging them.
"y/n how do you know each other?" Hinata asked.
"Oh we were childhood friends when we were younger, we also kept in touch when I moved, and I would come stay with his family during breaks sometimes. We also dated at one point" You said laughing.
"You two dated??" Noya asked shocked.
"Why didn't you tell us that? I thought we were bestfriend's" Tanaka said upset.
"Well we havn't really had the ex talk yet sorry! Ill tell you more about it later if you want, for now though I'm going to help him get the last few things from his truck." You explained.
"We can help!" Bokuto said heading towards the truck. The other boys quickly followed unloading the last few items.
"Well I better be getting back now" Ushijima said shutting the bed of his truck.
"Will you come back in a few days to hangout with me? Id love to catchup" you smiled.
He smiled back and leaned down planting a sweet kiss on your lips "Of course I will Honey" he crawled into the cab of his truck and drove away.
"Honey? That's it we need the details NOW!" Noya said grabbing your arm and leading you and Tanaka into your tent.

The Girl in the Abyss
Synopsis: The mysterious force known only as "God's Guidance" implemented a game-like system and rebuilt the planet using continents from five different worlds. Join Ellie, a young girl whose soul is filled with an ocean of love and trust. No matter how horrendous the circumstance or dreadful the suffering her kindness manages to shine through, but everyone breaks eventually. Watch as the horrors of reality slowly chip away at a pure soul until nothing but a monster remains and follow her down the path of despair as she finds a reason to live. ‘Our fate is one that always leads to suffering, but you can smile, I’ll shoulder everything else.’ Warning 1: This story covers very mature themes which I have listed here: Torture of a child (The MC is the victim), death, killing, slavery, and light gore. Nothing sexual ever occurs to the main character. Warning 2: This is another apocalyptic LitRPG, has a brokenly OP MC, bad writing, horrible grammar, and garbage sentence flow. It is my first attempt at writing a story since grade school. Inspired by my four favorite stories: Overlord, CLANNAD, The Arcane Emperor, and Tokyo Ghoul. A note by me: This is not a world domination story or an action story. There is fighting but it's not the focus. Another note by me: This is a work in progress. I’ll likely go back and change stuff a lot. The cover art is by a friend who has encouraged me since the start. Releases: Volume two will not be out anytime soon sadly. I apologize for the Hiatus.
