《Oh Captain My Captain! (Haikyuu)》Chapter 46

The atmosphere after what happened in the Onsen was awkward to say the least. You thought both boys seemed to have finally come to their senses and now didn't know what to say. After getting dressed you paid the woman working the front desk of the Onsen, paying even more than necessary knowing what just happened in her pool of healing hot water.
The guys followed you in silence refusing to look at each other, which only made you laugh inside. You were honestly just as shocked by what had happened but they were only making it awkward. The three of you got on the train to take you back towards your neighborhood and then walked the short distance to your home.
Fatigue really started to set it once you got home and you could barely drag your feet along. The house was a noisy nuthouse when you got inside, the team was clearly excited by the win. Several guys were loudly playing against each other in video games while a few others cheered them on. The third years were playing pool with the Miya twins, and then you spotted Tanaka and Noya raiding your fridge.
"Welcome back, we were starting to wonder if you got lost" Ukai said stepping out of the bathroom and walking towards you.
Instead of saying anything you walked to meet him, you locked your arms around his neck and your legs gave out. The weight of your body started to pull him forward but he quickly reacted and swooped your legs up into his arms, holding you bridle style. You nuzzled into his neck and fell asleep almost immediately, his eyes quickly filled with anger and looked at the two guilty looking boys.
"What the hell did you do to L/N?" he questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Id rather not say" Bo said awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"Did you hurt her?" he questioned harder.
"No I wouldn't do that, we just...... you know...." Bo said nervously.
"I swear you kids will be the death of me, where were you in this Tsukki?" he questioned turning his anger towards him. "Decide to just stand guard for your buddy?" he asked angrily.
"No, I uh...." Tsukki started but wasn't sure how to finish.
"Wait! Hold on! Wait!" Tanaka exclaimed as it clicked in his brain what happened.
"Don't say another word" Ukai warned as he turned towards him. Tanaka pretended to zip his lips and throw away a key, when Ukai turned back around though he shot Tsukki a double thumbs up.
"Stop yelling at them Keishin, I'm sleepy take me to my room please" you asked in a quiet voice.
He stood there for a second fighting the feeling to yell at the guys again but instead thought about you. He turned and walked down the hallway not saying another word to any of them, once inside he sat you on the bed and went to the dresser to find you something to wear. Walking back over he sat them next to you but you shook your head no.

"I need you to put them on me" you said sleepily.
"Princess your making this really hard for me, its not my job to do this after you've been with someone else." He said slightly frustrated, he didn't mind taking care of you but knowing that you were only so tired from having been with someone else was hurting him inside.
Your eyes quickly opened and you found yourself to be wide awake at his words. "You can go, I've got it" you said pulling the clothes into your lap.
"No, I'll help you" he said pulling at them.
"I said I've got it" you said jerking the clothes away from him. On tired legs you pushed past him and went into the bathroom, locking the door behind you. Your legs gave out in seconds, leaving you sitting on the cold tile.
He shook his head annoyed and quickly left your room, when he got out to the guys they were dead silent. "I'm going home and all of you should too" he yelled. He went by the door and grabbed his jacket and shoes and shut the door hard behind him as he left. You sat on the bathroom feeling guilty because you knew you had no right to be mad at him, you were just embarrassed at his comment.
You sat there on the floor for several minutes until a light knock at the door made you jump.
"Y/n are you okay?" Daichi asked through the door.
"Yes I'm fine, just about to take a bath" you tried to hide the shake in your voice but you were sure he caught it.
"Can I come in?" he asked gently.
"I'd normally love that but its just not a good time" you said as you pulled yourself up with the tubs rim.
"I'm coming in" he said, he reached above the door frame to get the key for the door and opened it. He stepped into the bathroom and took a good look at you before getting to work. He swooped you up and sat you on the counter, he then gathered your clothes from the floor and folded them nicely setting them next to you. He worked so efficiently it was mesmerizing to watch, going to the tub he quickly adjusted the temp and added some bath salts to the water.
"Alright time to get you out of these clothes" he said standing in front of you.
"I can do it myself, you really don't need to do all this" you said slightly scooting away from him.
"Look at me" he said turning your face towards him "Stop it. Taking care of you is not a burden for me, I love to do it." He said reassuringly.
"But doesn't it hurt you to do this?" you questioned.

"It does, but if I know you need me I'll do it every time. Now let me take care of you the way you deserve and ill kill those guys later" he said with a smile.
"Its really not their fault, I was fine and then I just got so tired when I got home. I think the adrenaline of the day finally wore off and my body just gave up" you explained.
"I wont blame Tsukki because I'm pretty sure that was his first time and I'm going to assume he didn't know what to watch for, but Bo-" he explained.
"WAIT!! T-that was Tsukki's first time you think?" you asked in shock.
"Well yea I would assume so, he is just a 1st year after all" Daichi said.
"Oh god, what have I done?" you covered your face in shame.
"Probably made that boys expectations far too high for the rest of his life, and gave him one hell of a story to tell of losing his virginity" he said with a laugh as he pulled your hands away from your face.
"How can you be so okay with this?" you asked him seriously.
"What do you want me to do? Scream and yell at you? Breakup with you and storm out? What good would that do for either of us, trust me when I say I'm not happy to know what happened. I'm very jealous about other guys getting to be with you, but this is what I signed up for so why would I get mad and hurt you over that? I've made my feelings clear and I'm in this until you tell me not to be, understood?" he questioned.
You gave him a simple nod and so he proceeded to undress you and carry you to the tub. He sat you gently into the water and got to work washing you from head to toe. Once clean he got you out and dried off and dressed and put you to bed. He chose not to sleep with you that night feeling like you needed a good nights sleep without being crowded.
In the middle of the night you woke up scared and felt around for someone but then noticed you were sleeping alone. You tried to go back to sleep but kept tossing and turning unable to get comfortable. With a deep sigh you got out of bed and quietly walked around the dark house, everyone was sound asleep. You walked into the game room and noticed the tv was still on, you dug around in between boys to find the remote but were surprised when someone said your name.
"y/n?" a sleepy sounding Hinata asked as he sat up rubbing his eyes.
"Sorry Hinata I didn't mean to wake you" you slightly bowed in his direction.
"Its okay, what are you doing up?" he asked.
"I find it hard to sleep alone sometimes so I was just walking around" you said shyly.
"D-do you want to come sleep next to me? Kageyama snores but not real loud" he said motioning towards the angry looking setter on the mat next to him.
"I've got her Hinata, go back to sleep" a messy haired owl said from behind you. He wrapped his arm around your waist and led you back towards your room. He locked the door behind the two of you and pressed the button for your tv to raise up. He crawled into the bed and patted the spot beside him with a goofy smile on his face.
"Come cuddle and watch Anime with me so I can apologize for earlier." He said pulling the covers out of the way for you.
"You don't need to apologize" you said as you crawled in.
"Yes I do, I should've been paying more attention to you. I was so freaking amazed at what happened earlier that I forgot about everything else. I should've known that would be a lot for you, it was a lot for me too being my first time doing something like that." He explained.
"By the way you acted I would've thought you had done that before, you were so instructive and careful" you said.
"Don't think less of me for this, but ever since I figured out you had a dream about me and Akaashi I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I started watching a lot of videos about it so I would be prepared..." he said nervously.
"You dirty boy!" you said gently smacking his arm "Just because I dream of something doesn't mean I want it to happen" you teased.
"Looks like you wanted it to me, the sounds you were making were so dirty, I'll dream about them for months to come" he teased back.
"Stop! You're embarrassing me" you said playfully covering his mouth. He smiled with his eyes and kissed your palms.
"Lets watch something and go to sleep Baby Owl" he said as he gently pulled your hands from his face. He flipped on one of the newer shows and both of you cuddled up before falling asleep after a few episodes.

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
