"I love........ Ushijima" you breathed out.
"I think you said the wrong name try again" Tanaka said shaking his head.
"What's the point in doing this exercise if your just going to tell me I'm wrong unless I pick who you want?" you lightly scolded.
"Sorry, your right" he said raising his hands in defense.
"So the mighty Ushiwaka huh?" Noya asked.
"I think it's always been him, I think the first time was just the wrong timing. Both of us have grown a lot and have changed and I really believe it will work out this time" you said trying to reassure yourself.
"And if it doesn't? What if he chooses volleyball over you again?" Noya asked, you knew he was just trying to make you think but you started to feel defensive.
"That's not going to happen" you said harshly.
"Okay I was just asking" he said in a much softer tone. "I just don't want you to get hurt, and I couldn't beat him up if he messed up" he said trying to lighten the mood.
"I know Noya, I'm sorry" you said feeling bad for overreacting.
"So now that you've chosen how are you going to tell him?" he asked.
"Well he is a bit old school so I need something that fits with that" you said pondering out loud.
"How about inviting him over for a meal?" Tanaka asked.
"I think id be too nervous to cook, what about a picnic? I could make simple finger food and take him to a nice park?" you offered unsure.
"That's a great idea!" they both said to encourage you.
"Okay perfect that's the plan then, I'll invite him to a picnic and tell him how I feel" you said excited.
With a plan in place the three of you crawled into bed and fell asleep within minutes. The next morning they left for practice and you messaged Ushijima to see if he was available. He quickly responded yes and that he would be by at 2pm to pick you up which made your heart race. You hurried to prepare the food and get everything packed into a whicker basket and topped it with a blanket for the ground. It was then time to get ready and you knew exactly what to wear, digging through your closet you found the perfect dress and got dressed.

At 2pm sharp a knock came at the door, taking a deep breath you hurried to answer it. You were once again greeted with an abundance of flowers to where you couldn't even see the beautiful man holding them.
"Hello Honey" he said smiling and moving the flower to the side.
"Hello Handsome" you said taking them from him and setting them on the nearby table.
"You look so beautiful" he awed as he took in your soft flowing hair and dress that hugged your figure nicely while not revealing a lot of skin.
"Thank you, I was hoping you would like it" you said spinning in a little circle to show off the dress. "You also look very handsome" you said taking in his appearance.
"I was surprised by your text but I love spending time with you" he reached down taking your hand in his.
"Yea sorry I haven't answered your texts the last few days I've just had a lot on my mind. I'm much better now and all I wanted to do today was see you so I'm happy you were free" you explained.
"You ready to go then?" he asked.
"Lets do it" you said gathering what bravery you could. Grabbing the basket you followed him to his truck, he opened the door and helped you in before getting in himself.
The drive to the park wasn't very long and once there you found a perfect spot near some cherry blossom trees. Laying out the blanket you sat the basket down and dug everything out placing it nicely in front of both of you. The conversation was a bit stiff as you ate and you knew it was mostly your fault because the nerves were now building. He noticed something was off and tried to hold back from asking but he grew concerned.
"Is something on your mind?" he asked straightforward.
"Honestly yes, I didn't think I'd be this nervous" you admitted.
"Its okay you can just tell me, I've been preparing myself for days" he admitted, he tried to hold his face stoic but you could see he was sad.
"Preparing for what?" you asked.
"For you to end things, I know you asked me here to break it off." He explained.
"What? Why would I plan a romantic date with you if I was just going to break it off?" you lightly laughed.

"I guess that wouldn't make sense" he said slightly embarrassed.
"Can I tell you why I actually asked you here?" you said taking a deep breath.
"Of course" he said scooting closer to you on the blanket.
"I want to be yours and only yours" you said looking deep into his eyes.
"I want that as well, to clarify though does this mean we are a couple again?" he asked.
"Yes if that's what you want also" you said hesitant, nervous of his response.
"That's all I've ever wanted" he said breaking out into a brilliant smile.
"Great, I'm happy to be your girlfriend again" you said leaning in towards him for a kiss.
"I'd like to call you my fiancé better" he said catching you by surprise, you pulled back looking at him confused. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small blue velvet box, he used one hand to flip it open and the breath caught in your throat. Inside the box was a beautiful ring, it sparkled so elegantly in the sunlight.
"Don't you think this is a little soon? I've still got things to handle with the others" you said not sure how to find the words for the shock you felt.
"I've loved you since we were children, and there is nothing I regret more than losing you. Every holiday that you would come visit it only made me miss you more when you would leave. When I got news you were moving back I decided that I wanted to win you back because as much as I don't deserve you I've never loved someone the way I love you. I'm so happy you've decided to give me another chance and I wont mess it up this time. I'll show you all the affection you need and deserve, I'll shower you with gifts and time spent together. I'll love you more than you ever knew possible and I will earn your love, so even though this may seem sudden I hope you will accept my offer." He got onto one knee in front of you and took your hand in his.
"What if I'm already in love with you?" you asked.
"Then say yes" he said taking your hand in his.
"Then ask me" you nervously swallowed.
"Y/N will you marry me?" he asked.
"Yes" you said surprising yourself.
He took the ring from the box and put it on your finger happily, he tried to control his excitement but couldn't and tackled you in a hug. His hand caught behind your head and back to keep you from touching the ground but he brought your lips to his in a fierce kiss. After a minute he pulled back and admired your blushing face, feeling immensely happy in that moment.
"I hope to never forget the way you look today" he said with admiration.
"If only you could see yourself, I love to see you smile and your hair looks so warm in the sunlight" you said reaching up and running your fingers through his tousled locks.
"I can't wait to marry you" he said bringing his lips back to yours.
"You'll have to wait a bit though, you graduate this year but I still have another year" you explained pulling back slightly from the kiss.
"That's too long" he whined playfully which was out of character.
"I know, but with me being a third year and you playing professional ball the time will pass fast" you said trying to reassure him.
"Are you okay with me going professional?" he asked in a more serious tone.
"It's your passion so of course I want to support you, but I will hold you to your promise of always showing me how much you love me, no matter how busy or tired you may be" you matched his tone, looking deep into his eyes.
"I promise Honey, you will always be my first priority and I will not let you down" he said earnestly.
"I believe you, and I love you" you cupped his cheek in your hand.
"I love you too" he said lightly kissing your palm.
"Can i make a request?" you asked.
"Anything" he said immediately.
"Take me home so i can show you how much I love you and how much I've missed you" you said smiling at him mischievously.
"Yes Ma'am" he got to his feet and picked you up into his arms carrying you bridal style towards his truck.
"What about the picnic stuff?" you laughed.
"I'll come back for it later"

Systematic Supremacy
A story of an individual with a cursed past and an unknown future. Follow the journey of Theo trying to find his purpose in a world full of cultivation, magic, and other mystical arts. What happens when someone without a will to live finally gains freedom along with an absurd amount of potential? Will he pursue strength in a world that values nothing but power, or will he decide to live a quiet and normal life for the first time? This is a story of a man with a system (yes, I know, very original), cursed with the faith of a protagonist. Whether he will follow the road of humiliating swarms of ignorant young masters asking for a beating, or carelessly pick up love interests from all corners of the world is yet to be seen. This story features many different realms and power systems, so if you enjoy novels with massive worlds and endless exploration, this is for you. Although it has a system, it is more of a manifestation of his own power and mysterious origin, not some gift from God.This is my first novel, and I am not a native English speaker, so the grammar won’t be perfect, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
