A few weeks later, we are all playing in the sandlot when Jordan and his team come over to us.
"Jordan!!" I yell, running over
"Long time no see!" He says.
I run over to him and hug him. The other boys walk over.
"So how come your here?" I ask
"I wanted to introduce you to our new teammate." Jordan says. "Meet Jake"
A boy smiles at us. We all assume the boy is Jake. Everyone introduced themselves. I was about to introduce myself but he interrupted me.
You're bennys girl, y/n"
I smile. Bennys girl. I'm not sure why but I liked it. I look over at benny. The feelings mutual.
"Yeah, i am." I respond, still smiling.
"Well if you ever wanted to play another game, just ask" Jordan says.
"Alright!" I say
"Bye y/n" says Jordan, biking off.
"Bye!" I yell.
Overtime lots of other people picked up on the nickname Benny's girl. It stuck with me as I grew up.
We all lived together in the neighborhood for a couple of more years mostly through junior high school and every summer was great. But none of them ever came close to that first one. When one guy would move away, we never replaced him on the team with anyone else. We just kept the game going like he was still there.
It was weird that Benny said Babe Ruth was like the Hercules of baseball, and The Beast's name ended up being Hercules.None of us could figure out what that meant, but we were all amazed by it. I kept in touch with all of the boys over the years.
Jordan tried to go pro in baseball, but never got scouted. He now owns a successful clothing brand called tigers, I always knew he wasn't going to let that team go, since he didn't go pro in baseball. Yeah- Yeah's parents shipped him off to military school. After the army, he became one of the pioneering developers of bungee jumping. Of course, we all know why. Bertram, well Bertram got really into the 60s, and no one ever saw him again. Timmy and Tommy became an architect and a contractor. They started out small, designing playground equipment and prefabricated tree houses. But they became multimillionaires when they invented mini-malls. Squints grew up and married Wendy Peffercorn. They have nine kids. They bought Vincent's Drugstore, and they still own it to this day. Hamilton Porter became a professional wrestler. You know him as The Great Hambino.

DeNunez played triple-A ball, but he never got to the majors. He owns his own business now, and he coaches a little league team that his sons play on called the Heaters. Smalls became a commentator for the dodgers. Hercules lived to be 114 years old. uh, in doggy years. Benny went pro and plays for LA dodgers. he is known as Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez.
Me and Benny were the last ones to move away. We stayed together throughout school and I supported him in his career. I still support him to this day. I never had much time to get a proper job. I've never missed a single one of Benny's games and getting a job would get in the way of that. Although I only spend my time watching Benny. I am recognised by a lot of Benny's fans.
They know me as Benny's girl.

Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.
