《Hotshot? ~{Tomboo}~》~{Chapter 5}~

As the bus came to my stop I stood up. I waved to Darryl and he waved back. I got off the bus and was met by Tubbo.
"Hi!" Tubbo smiled.
"Uhm....Hey." I said confused on why he was at the bus stop.
He slowly frowned, "Where's Ranboo?"
I rolled my eyes, "We fought.....and he was a little sensitive, so he canceled and waisted my time like the prick he is."
Tubbo sighed, "Oh okay...."
"What's wrong?" I asked confused on his sudden shift in moods.
He shook his head as we began walking, "Nothing...."
I nodded, "So what did you want to tell me this morning?"
He awkwardly laughed, "Uhm....I'll tell you tomorrow, yeah?"
"I'll hold you to it Tubbo." I chuckled.
He laughed along with me, "Alright."
I walked him home and then I walked to my own house. I walked up to the door and one of our housekeepers opened the door for me.
"Thankyou." I smiled and she nodded.
I walked in, then up the big stairs to the second floor and then down the hall.
My second older brother Wilbur, walked out of his room with an eyebrow raised. He pushed up his glasses, "Why you home so late?"
"Project." I replied.
He nodded and went back into his room, shutting the door behind him.
I rolled my eyes and went to my room. I set down my things and then ploped myself onto the bed, "What am I gonna do for all these hours?.....I could-"
"Study and do homework! Mom and dad are out!" My eldest brother, Techno yelled peeking in the door.
I groaned and went over to my desk, "Don't worry, I'm doing it."
He nodded and left.
I took out my homework from my backpack and began to do my work. I sighed, "This blows."

I yawned as I got out of bed. I packed up my stuff from the desk where I'd left it last night. I quickly changed then put my backpack on. I walked out the door and down the hall. I went down the stairs and was just gonna walk out the door, but ofcourse my father called me back, "Tom! Breakfast!"
I sighed and walked over to the kitchen. I took a seat at the big dinning room table, "Where's the food?"
My dad rolled hus eyes, "Be patient."
"Y'know you could do it yourself." I said.
My dad nodded, "I know, but if people need work and are good at it, I can pay them well to do things for me."
The chef brought the food and we thanked him. My father began to eat and I quickly swallowed down my food.
Through a full mouth I said, "Alright I'm gonna go dad!"
"Kay, be careful Tommy" He smiled.
I waved and walked out the door. I hurried over to the bus stop and looked around for Tubbo.
There he was dragging his feet against the warn down concrete sidewalk. I smiled and waved, "Hey Tubs!"
He looked up and smiled, "Hey Big Man!"
He walked over towards me and we fist pumped. The bus came and we got on. We sat towards the back like always and I tried to not focus on anything, but my phone or Tubbo, when he spoke.
It was going alright till we got to the bus stop where Mr.Hotshot was. I groaned and tried ignoring him....it was a little hard though. Him and his friends couldn't quit there talking and laughing.
As much as I'd love to yell at them to shut up, I knew it'd make Tubbo uncomfortable. I just shook it off and looked at my phone again.
I was walking out of the cafateria. Tubbo had texted me to meet him by the stands of the football field.

I was looking around for him, but I didn't see him anywhere.
"Tommy!" Tubbo called.
I looked over to see him underneath the stands, book in hand. I chuckled and headed over to him.
"Why here, Tubs?" I asked.
"Cause it's important.....and you might not like it." He replied frowning a bit.
"Cheer up Tubs. I haven't heard it yet, so go on and tell me." I encouraged him.
He took a deep breath, "I have a crush."
I gasped smiling, "Guy or girl?!"
He sorta smiled, "Guy..."
"And?....who is it?" I asked excited.
"Ranboo."
I blinked a couple times, "As in Mark, Ranboo?"
Tubbo blushed lightly and looked away, "Yes."
I groaned, "Oh Tubbo! C'mon man!"
He got nervous, "Calm down Tommy! He's not that bad!"
"What do you mean!? You know I hate him, and you know he hates me!" I yelled.
"Tommy you've never even tal-"
"Oh trust me, we've talked. And he's a real prick." I interrupted him.
He sighed, "Tommy I've really liked him for a while now. And he's finally started to notice me more....."
I shook my head in disbelief, "Tubbo. Do you really want a shot with a guy whose been with every girl in school?"
"He's only been with 2 girls Tommy." Tubbo argued.
I rolled my eyes then sighed, "Why him?"
Tubbo shrugged, "Well first off....he is very handsome."
I rolled my eyes, "He's average. I'm handsome."
Tubbo chuckled, "Fair enough, but he's also smart, funny, caring....and...I dunno- he's just.....a mystery. Everyone seems to make assumptions about him, but truth is......I don't think anyone knows much about him. And....I want to know."
I gave him a small smile, "So.....you really like him?"
He nodded with a light blush.
I groaned in defeat, "I'll give him a chance."
"Great! Now go talk to him!" Tubbo cheered.
I scoffed, "Now?!"
"Yeah! Go apologize and make friends." He smiled happily.
I groaned and left from under the stands. I looked back at him and he gave me two thumbs up. I sighed and walked back into the cafeteria.
How am I even gonna get his attention?
......Do I really want to give him a chance?!
Ughh! Why couldn't it be anyone else, Tubbo!
I looked around for literally a second and then there he was. Well....not him, but his fan base. I figured he'd be in the middle of them. I walked toward his fan base and sure enough there he was in the middle of it. With his friends talking at a lunch table.
I pushed my way through till I got to him. I tapped his shoulder and he turned around.
He was smiling at first till he saw me and his face went neutral.
"Uhm....may I speak with you?" I asked.
He raised a brow, "Go for it."
I chuckled, "Alone?"
He stood up and looked to his friends, "I'll be back."
They waved and he followed me out of the crowd. His crowd followed though.
He awkwardly laughed, "Could ya'll give me a moment? I need privacy real quick."
They all turned to his friends and then he asked me, "Where would you like to talk?"
I shrugged. He nodded then asked, "How's the restroom?"
"Not very private..." I replied.
"Is this even serious?" He asked.
I sighed and nodded. He sighed too then suggested, "How about we go outside?"
I nodded. He started walking and I followed.
I don't want to apologize....

Disclaimer: I'll leave this on here for anyone to read. The last time I uploaded a chapter was nearly a year ago, and to all the readers who still kept their trust in me after I came back from my umpteenth hiatus, I am sorry. I will not carry on writing this; I started off without the correct foundations of a novel, nor commitment to fully finish it and I do not want to lie to you all once again. Maybe one day, I may decide to re-write the novel, with a new basis or at least a comprehensive starting point with many of the narrative errors cleared up; but, till then, this is goodbye. And, once again, thank you for the motivation you gave me. Even now, I see many emails come through with people commenting. Goodbye. A child blessed by the Astral. An unprecedented destiny. Watch his path, as he marches up the stairway of Heaven. A March of a Sovereign. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] This is a Qihuan novel; it has eastern and western fantasy elements. More often than not in Xianxia or Xuanhuan there is a severe lack of character development, being a western writer I'm changing that. My characters, from my totally unbiased view, feel fleshed out and actually have emotions. This is my first attempt at a novel, I'm writing as a means to better convey my thoughts. I will, hopefully, steadily improve chapter-by-chapter. I'm very open to feedback and constructive criticism. As one can see this is a cultivation novel, so you know how this goes. I've decided to jump-start the whole rags-to-riches scenario. He is strong from the start and is given the utility to do so. *The cover art is not my own, all rights reserved to the owner. I will take it down if necessary. *The style of the recent chapters is comparatively different than Chapter 1.

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”
