《I'm An Idiot》22

You looked at yourself once again in the mirror. Maroon coloured spaghetti strapped gown, with a side slit that your mom had sent to you from Daegu, your purple hair done in a messy kind of bun, fancy golden earrings hanging from your ears and black and golden strappy heeled sandals, adorning your feet. You had done light makeup with silvery pink eyeshadow and pink lipstick. To be honest, you were extremely pleased with the outcome, even though you were not the one to do it.
Ji-Eun applied, what seemed to be, the fifth shade of lip gloss, smacked her lips together and smiled. "Look at that smile. Seems like you'repleased with your lip colour." You said while rolling your eyes. "Yeah...I mean, it's not my fault that I wanna look good at the prom. ." She said while glaring at you.
Ji-Eun was finally going out with a guy named Mingyu. She got a crush on him when he asked her out on a 'date' to the library to study for the final exams. He had finally asked her to go out with him after the exams were over. You had to admit, they were quite cute together.
Ji-Eun was wearing a pastel blue, square-neck, spaghetti strapped gown with silver dangle earrings, brown eyeshadow and nude lipstick. Her hair – that had grown quite long from when you both coloured it – was braided on one side. She looked very beautiful.
After both of you were done, you went downstairs and saw your dates leaning against a car. Jungkook looked at you as his mouth literally dropped, and you were left speechless too. He was looking like a total eye candy in his black pants, white shirt, burgundy coat and a black tie.
You walked towards him and he slipped his hand around your waist and kissed you on your cheek while saying, "Hey there, beautiful." You looked down and started blushing. "Hi." You said shyly. You looked towards Mingyu and Ji-Eun and saw them talking happily.

Mingyu was wearing white pants, a white shirt and a light blue coat over it. Honestly, he looked handsome.
All of you finally reached the destination after half an hour of drive. Just as the four of you entered, the limelight turned onto you. Girls were glaring at you and Ji-Eun for having the hottest date and for making dates drool over you both.
You were a part of the prom arrangement community and your job was to collect and count the votes, so you had to leave for a while to recheck the votes. When you came back, Ji-Eun and Mingyu were on the dance floor, jamming to the beats and a group of girls in very...revealing...dresses, surrounded Jungkook. He spotted you and immediately came towards you. "Oh my god, it's so hard being popular, you know?" he said, acting as if wiping his sweat. You glared at him dangerously and said, "Mhmm, I can see that. But if you even dare to flirt back, I'll kill you." "And I'll come to haunt you." He said and pecked you nose.
"You're such a flirt." You mumbled while smiling and went to the drinks counter. You and Jungkook sat down and watched everyone on the dance floor. After a while, both of you were pulled to the dance floor by Ji-Eun and Mingyu. You were having the time of your life.
Time passed by and finally the 'Prom Queen' and 'Prom King' were decided. That is where the real problem started. The prom queen was a girl named Park Chaeyong. You were not much surprised as you knew it, moreover, she was always sweet to everyone, had a beautiful personality and a beautiful face.
After it was announced, Mina came up to you with some girls trailing behind her. She looked at you disgustingly and said, "You absolute skank. You rigged the votes, didn't you? You can really stoop that low just to make me look bad when I'm just living my life."

Mina has been bullying you for quite some time now. You were used to it but you weren't gonna let her ruin your big night. "Mina, I haven't done anything. And no, I won't stoop that low to make you look bad when you already are. Stooping low to make people's life hell is your job anyway." You said while crossing you arms.
She growled and swung her hand in an attempt to slap you, only to be stopped by another hand. "I think that's enough for tonight, Mina." Jungkook said as he gave her a glare. She scowled at him and said, "Both of you are perfect for each other, aren't you? Sluts for sluts."
"Oh really? Well then, what about you?" Ji-Eun said as she came behind you. "You are the one who sleeps with 10 boys a week. Moreover, you weren't chosen as the prom queen because of your attitude towards everyone. If you had been nice to everyone like Chaeyong, then maybe someone would've thought about voting you. You didn't even get vote. Not even your minions voted for you." Ji-Eun said while staring at her threateningly.
Mina's eyes widened and she stood there stunned. She looked at her 'friends' questioningly and they just avoided her eyes. "I can't believe you guys could do that to me." Mina said, tears threatening to spill from her eyes as she walked away from the scene.
"Well, enough drama for tonight. Let's go and dance! The couple dance is starting!" Ji-Eun said after a moment and bounced her way to Mingyu on the dance floor.
Jungkook held out his hand to you and said, "May I have this dance?" You chuckled, held his hand, and said, "You may." Both of you glided to the floor and stood in the position. He put his hand on your waist and pulled you close to him as you positioned your hand on his shoulder.
Both of you started swaying to the music and glided all across the dance floor and to make the moment even more special than it already was, the spotlight suddenly fell on both of you. Throughout the song, you and Jungkook never broke your eye contact. It almost felt magical.
After the song finished, Jungkook led you outside, into a garden and said while holding your hands, "Y/n tomorrow is our graduation and I don't know if we'll be on the same path or not. So I bought this." He took out two rings and said, "You can call me cheesy, but I really think these rings can always be a way for us to be together."
You looked at him in pure admiration and held out your hand for him to slip the ring on. "It really seems like you love me." you said casually. He looked at you shyly and said, "Well, if I didn't why would I even date you in the first place? You know it's really hard for me to trust people easily." "Well, it only took me a cup of coffee and help in homework." You said while rolling your eyes. "I feel like I'm dating an idiot." He said. You smiled and said, "Mhmm, I'm an idiot for loving you."
Well, you definitely are one, aren't you?
