《Danganronpa ocem》Prologue part 4

When we entered the auditorium, we noticed that there was a large stage, but no chairs. Weird. We stood around the stage, waiting for something to happen. Something didn't feel right.
Alyssa: What're we supposed to do now?
Yu Xuan: Wait?
Chloe: But nothing's happening...?
Miyoshi: Sumana don't touch me.
Ashlyn: Maybe we went to the wrong auditorium.
Crysty: There's only one in this mall though...
Alyssa: We should leave, I'm getting bored.
???: Leaving already? Puhuhuhuhu...
Ashton: W-who's talking?
???: It is I, the one and only!
We all turned to face the stage and saw...
(I'm sorry this isn't the cast I can't draw or edit so just pretend it's an auditorium)
???: MONOOOOKUMAAAAA
Chloe: Why's that bear talking???
Sumana: I don't know but someone kill it!
Crysty: No don't touch it! It might be dangerous! What do you want from us? And who are you?
Hannan: Your name is... Monokuma? Isn't it?
Monokuma: Puhuhuhuhu! Great guess! I'm Monokuma!
Annan: So what do you want?
Monokuma: What else would I want? A killing game puhuhuhuhu!
Ashlyn: A w- what?
Miyoshi: What killing game? Like Russian roulette?
Monokuma: No of course not only crazy people play Russian roulette! I mean the killing game, where you kill or be killed!
Chloe: We ain't playing some random game you give us! You're a stuffed bear and the only reason we're hearing you speak is probably just because we're all on drugs!
Rachel: I'm not on drugs.
Hanako: We're not playing your game! I won't let you hurt anyone here! Let's just leave.
Monokuma: Oh you won't have to worry! I'm not going to be the one hurting you guys. You're going to be hurting each other!
Upon hearing this, everyone stopped in their tracks.
Sophie: What?
Monokuma: Puhuhuhuhu! That's right! A game of mutual killing!

Sophie: Explain.
Monokuma: Well, you guys will have to kill each other! When a murder happens, you guys will investigate the crime, and figure out the murderer during a class trial! At the end, you vote on who you think is the culprit, get it right, and the murderer is punished, but get it wrong, and everyone but the murderer is punished instead! Puhuhuhuhu how despairingly wonderful!
Miyoshi: Punished? You mean-
Monokuma: Executed! Electric chair, hanging, blood eagle! Whatever is necessary!
Chloe: And this game has no rules? We can kill anyone?
Monokuma: Anyone can kill anyone! Strangling, stabbing, drowning, crushing, you name it! Just don't get caught!
Chloe: And what happens when we get away with the murder?
Monokuma: You get to leave this place! While the rest of you perish!
Tan Liang: No! We won't kill each other just so we can leave! Right guys?
Tan Liang looked around, expecting to see everyone nodding with confidence, but no one could meet his eyes, it was like each of us was already planning a murder of our own.
Funny how selfish people are. But I'm no different, I want to escape too, of course, but I wouldn't kill to escape, I think.
Monokuma: I've prepared dorm rooms for everyone! It was very hard to put together. I needed to move the furniture from the shops into the empty spaces. And don't worry, the doors lock, so you'll all be safe and sound at night puhuhuhuhu!
Ashlyn: Wait, we're going to live here?
Monokuma: Duh! This game will continue until only two survivors remain! Fun right?
Ashton: No! It's not fun! Just let us go!
Monokuma: For confidential reasons, I cannot do that. Anyway, that's it for now! Go and look around, check out the dorms! See ya, puhuhuhuhu!

And with that, Monokuma disappeared.
Randi: Don't worry guys, we'll figure out something!
Hannan: Yes, please don't be upset.
Sophie: You say that like we're not trying. It's very hard to be hopeful in this fantasy like situation you know?
Miyoshi: I say we all split up and explore this huge mall. Then report back here later.
Kendric: I think we should use the rest of the day to explore then meet up tomorrow morning for breakfast at the food court.
Alyssa: Yea, we can report our findings there.
Ashlyn: So tomorrow first thing in the morning, at the food court?
Chloe: Seems right to me!
Yu Xuan: Ok then, let's split up and try to find things that can help us escape. Can we just say that no one is going to murder anyone later, right?
There was silence in the auditorium.
Sophie: We can't say for certain.
Ashton: No, we can't kill anybody! It's against my morals!
Sophie: The most we can do now is go explore, if anything happens, we'll just have to figure it out in the spot.
Ashlyn: I think we should explore in pairs, it'll be safer that way.
Tan Liang: I'll go with Ashly-
Chloe: I said don't touch her you tiny pickled simp! I'll be your partner Ash, who knows what he's planning.
Ashlyn: Uh sure!
And so I went with Chloe to go explore, and everyone went off in their pairs as well.
I wonder if I'll be able to find anything.

Aurora: Apocalypse
Currently participating in the April 2022 Royal Road Writeathon. This fiction will resume in May 2022 When Methuselah’s star explodes, the world burns under the impact of an extinction level event. Emmett Carter just wants one thing - to gather his family at the farm and keep them safe. Rated [M] for Mature Audiences. Contains Alcohol use, Drug use, Gore, Profanity, Smoking, Violence.Rated [D] for Drama. Contains emotional themes, interpersonal relationships, and character development. Author's note: You are reading a first draft, written mostly while drinking cheap whiskey. Expect it to read like hot garbage and I guarantee that it’ll meet your expectations. I’m a storyteller, not a writer - there’s a huge difference between the two professions. IMPORTANT! This story is told in a first-person limited, conversational style, with Emmett occasionally breaking the 4th wall and addressing the reader directly. This means that YOU and Emmett may have absolutely no idea why stuff is happening, because there will be little or no exposition or other POV's. Read the comments for spoilers, ask questions if you want to know something. This work incorporates blended aspects of Xianxia, Wuxia, Super powers, and Western Magic into a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure. It is none of those things and all those things, mashed together. The MC is Over Powered, but so are many, many others. He just hasn't met them yet. Dear Student, What follows is an adaption of the diary of Emmett Carter before his Ascension. While the decades during and after the Aurora Apocalypse are lost to us, the Ascended himself has allowed us to publish this work so long as we warn the reader that it may not be entirely accurate or present an unbiased viewpoint of the events. One should also note that the Aurora was in flux during that time and some things that were possible in the early days are no longer possible, especially with the advent of the Akashic record. Editors have included footnotes when possible to explain pre-aurora technologies or concepts and how they relate to current magical technologies. The contents of this work may upset readers. If you’ve ever been in a natural disaster, had a house fire, witnessed a murder, lost a loved one to violence, or have a strong opinion on the sanctity of life, please do not read this. It contains dramatic scenes of a world in the throes of an apocalyptic event. There are no rainbows and unicorns, only loss, uncertainty, and death while the survivors struggle to rebuild their lives. Updates Thursdays and Sundays for now. Word count is about 2000 ~ 4000ish per chappie.
