《Falling in love with the Muslim girl ✔》Chapter 12: Schooltrip [part 3]

The day was over before we even knew it. We explored the city and ate at a nice restaurant. I was hanging out with my friends and Natalie the whole day. I didn't see Safia or her friends the entire day so I've decided to give them a visit tonight.
I went to my room as soon as we arrived back at the hotel. I cleaned myself up and got ready for dinner. I sat down next to my friends and enjoyed the delicious meal once again.
"That was the most delicious pasta I've ever eaten" Zac said licking his fingers.
"Tell me about it" I said.
Zac asked me if he could have the room this evening when we got back in our room. I agreed and decided to go to Safia and Amina's room. Malik was probably already there anyway.
I left my room and told Zac to have fun. Safia and Amina's room was on the 5th floor and Zac and I slept on the second floor.
I stepped in the elevator and pressed the button for the 5th floor. The lift doors opened and I was looking for room number 189. All the doors of the hotel were open. I arrived at number 189 and opened the door.
"Heeey", I said as I swung the door open.
"Brody nooo", I heard one of them yelling.
"Safia?!" I asked.
"Brody out!", Amina yelled at me.
It took me a few minutes to realise that Safia was standing in front of me without a scarf on.
"Ooh I'm sorry" I apologised whilst I closed the door.
I'm such an idiot for opening a door without knocking first. I didn't realise she took her scarf off. I'm one of those guys who would think that she showered with her scarf on.

The door opened a few minutes later.
"You're an idiot" Safia said while punching my upper arm.
"I'm sorry"
"Doesn't matter now, I could've been naked" She said.
"You don't see me complaining." I joked in a playful way.
"You're just uuughhhh."
"Hey I was just joking and I'm really sorry for coming in without knocking" I apologized.
"It's fine. Just think with that pretty little mind of yours."
"Back at it again with you calling me 'pretty'" I smirked.
She punched me again.
"But uhm you're even more beautiful without your scarf on" I said.
"So I'm beautiful", she smirked.
I felt that my cheeks were turning red.
"I'll have to kill you if you tell anyone that I said that" I whispered.
She leaned forward and whispered back.
"Of course."
"I'm going downstairs, rain check?" I asked.
"Yeah sure, we'll come to your room then. That's safer." she said and went back in her room.
"Omg Amina he just saw me without my scarf on." I panicked as soon as I got back in the room.
"What did he say"?
You can't say anything Safia, remember, he'll kill you.
"Euhm, he just apologized that's all. But still..."
"I"ll lock the door this time so you can take off your scarf again", Amina said locking the door.
I agreed. I didn't want to make a big deal about it, it's just weird when someone who only sees you with a scarf on suddenly sees you without one.
She offered to watch a movie and that's what we did. There was a meeting area downstairs but only the students who were over 18 were always there. First of all, I didn't like being surrounded by drunk students and secondly, I liked it more to sit in my room without my itchy scarf on.

As soon as Safia got back in her room, I made my way to the elevator. I couldn't go back to my room because Zac was having fun there, so I went to the ground floor to the meeting area. It would've been too awkward if I stayed in Safia's room.
I'm 18 so I'm allowed to drink and I definitely was planning on doing so. After a few glasses I went back to my room because I was exhausted. And luckily for me, Sam was already gone and Zac was fast asleep.
*The next morning*
The next activity was tougher than the first one. We needed to find a camp that was hidden in the forest. We only received a map and we were allowed to keep our phones for emergencies this time.
The groups were the same as the activity the other day, so I joined groups with Safia, Amina, Malik and Nat again. Who all were waiting for me, as I was having a headache this morning. My own damn fault, I thought.
I had my arm wrapped around Natalie whilst we were walking towards the camp. Safia, Amina and Malik were walking in front of us.
After an hour we all were exhausted, still not able to find the camp. At that moment I was walking alone. Malik was walking next to Nat in the front and Safia next to Amina in the middle.
Out of nowhere, I got a call from my father. I first wanted to ignore the call but I looked up at Safia and remembered our promise. I answered my phone and sat down on a cut off tree.
"Hello?"
"Hey son" my dad greeted.
"I'm ready to listen about what you need to tell me" I said.
He thanked me and started his story.
I couldn't believe what I heard next. I broke down and tears rolled down my cheeks.
~~~~~
Tomorrow I'll drop a new chapter.
What do you think happened to his dad?
The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages.All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread.As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.
