He hopes this weekend a the kids birthday party, he can get you alone and you two can work out some of your problems. You feel weak Everytime he is around, you still love him so much but he made his bed now he has to lay in it. He had Molly you on the other hand haven't been with no one since you got with him years ago, you keep faith you two would get back together at some point but it hasn't yet but maybe this weekend at the kids birthday party something will happen between you two again.
