The Reject Chapter 16
Jace was missing again. Yep. He left. Just like that. Talk about unfair. Hey, it's unfair to Ashley. I mean, why would I care about Jace?
I looked at her, sitting on the couch. She had a large bucket of Cold Stone on her lap. Strawberry, her fave flavor. She was also wearing her PJs with a pink robe. And was watching Say Yes to The Dress...
I sucked on my green apple flavored lollipop and thought about when he would be back.
For Ashley, of course.
Last time he left, he wasn't back til now. Let's just hope he returns sooner than that.
It's been two months since we've met Jace and a week since he disappeared. Ashley claimed to be deeply in love with him already -which, never happens as the whole pack figured out due to her numerous boyfriends- and Jace... well, I'm not a telepath. I don't know what he thinks.
And of course, there was a party in the pack house of the teenagers hosted by Noah, and we were NOT invited. It was annoying really, how they tried to show off. Jealous as they were not one of the Fighters but seriously? Continuous loud parties were supposed to make us envy them?
But I gotta say, the current song was good. But my tapping feet were put to a stop when Ashley turned up the volume of Twilight playing on the tv.
'That's it.' said Katie entering the living room 'We're crashing into the party.'

Sam, who was sitting next to me, choked on his chips and I hit him hard on the back. 'That wasn't necessary, Jess.' he croaked, red faced.
'Yes it was, Sammy. I couldn't loose you to a packet of chips.' I said with a serious expression.
Katie and Lily ignored us and looked at Grey lying on the loveseat, the lazy Alpha. Nah, he was just trying to enjoy his free time, but unfortunately, there were certain females in the room who would never let that happen. I was about to join the group.
'Come on, Grey! We're so tired of being cooped up here on nights like these.' Katie whined, a first for her. We always act professional in front of others, but here we were with family. We could be as idiotic as we wanted, which was a lot more than the Simpsons.
'Yeah, we ought to have fun partying too!' Lily added.
Grey looked at them with wide eyes 'Am I being asked for permission, girls? That's new.'
That cracked up Sam, Troy and me. Katie and Lily pouted, and looked at their mates with big eyes.
They both put their hands over them, and I almost awed out loudly, ignoring a certain feeling. My camera was immediately put to work. New pictures added to the others, my favorite feeling.
With the music blaring from the house next to ours', I started dancing. I pulled up Grey and Ashley. The couples joined us. We laughed like heck, throwing couch pillows, jumping on the sofas, throwing around chips. It was a party of our own. No invitation needed.
Lots of pictures were taken, to be added to the collection on my bedroom wall.
We all fell onto the couch, on top of each other, then falling on the floor, laughing like idiots. One of us had removed the snow spray stacked in the collection of "Ashley's Partay Stuff".

Next thing we knew, we all were screamimg and laughing, running away from anyone who got the can of fake snow.
I was thrown onto the shoulder of one of my brothers, who I found out only after sniffing him was, Grey. I couldn't stop laughing, so much that my stomach hurt.
We all sang, laughed and danced like never before. That is, before some drunk teen showed up, wanting to ride on the 'Pink Pony with rainbow wings'. We all had a good laugh at that too, while sending the 17 year old back to the packhouse.
Well, that was a fun night. Only if I knew what was going to happen the day after.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Centipede
This is a fan fic set in the brilliantly crafted world of Chrysalis, which RinoZ has generously given permission for me to post. Our hero is no transmigrated human, but a genuine monster, spawned from the rich mana veins running beneath a fungal expanse. Unlike other Claw Centipedes, this hatchling is special, gifted with sapience and cunning. Both of which are useful tools to hunt and kill and eat with. Maybe even more useful than claws and stinger. (Probably not). Please join them as they seek answers to life's big questions: Is that edible? If so, how do I kill it? And can I get my kin to do most of the work? Briars and Thorns
Millenia ago, humanity faced a catastrophe. Some devastating, catastrophic event that even to this day leaves its impact on humankind and the Earth. That’s not where our story takes place though, instead we look to space, where humans have taken up residence among the stars. Living in huge industrial space stations, life is a bore. Dull daily routines are broken only by extravagant fashion, music, and other means of self expression. Also, of course, the lifeblood of the stations- games. Four months ago, humanity was contacted by the first ever known alien life forms. These aliens, calling themselves the Erta offered their designs and schematics for their True Virtual Reality (TVR) console, as well as access to their game in exchange for peace. And humanity, excited at the opportunity to achieve one of their life long dreams (that is, to experience True VR), graciously took them up on their offer. Now, after scientists have finally confirmed the console to be safe for humans, the game is to finally be released to the public. This comes to the joy of most of the population, but a small portion of them can't help but be upset. As thousands of the researchers meant to be developing virtual reality, are fired overnight. Meet Brian Reed, one of these newly unemployed workers. Now, join Brian as he explores the very game that was the death of his job. And watch as he learns that the game is not quite what it seems.
