《To Go Higher (Uta No Prince Sama FANFICTION)》STARISH & QUARTET NIGHT?!

And of course I always had to jinx myself cause I have 0% luck.
As my eyes look in front of me with familiar shocked eyes look back, I stand there as my partners are trying not to faint. It seems like the boys and the girl I met before were STARISH themselves and their composer. Ah, so smart, Melody. Just so smart.
"Expected from Miss Melody. You're not even shocked or nervous in front the famous bands of the world!" Saotome laughs as I just fake laugh too.
"Yeah, I'm definitely not shocked or nervous. I just feel stupid." I mumble looking away down to the floor.
"Oh! Are these the kids that got first place in the auditions?" a boy with layered, shoulder-length, dark brown hair, with tufts a little longer and taupe-grey eyes ask.
"Eh? We got first place?" Astrin asks in complete shock as the others were also shocked.
Me, I was definitely shocked, but I just couldn't show it after my stupidity.
"That's right! You didn't know? We heard your guys' performance was amazing that you had a huge gap against the other participants.
"Melody, catch me." Astrin orders before falling onto me getting me to catch him.
"Fall on Sei. Why me?" I ask having some difficulty from keeping him up and not squashing me.
"He'll just let me fall." he answers.
"Not surprised with this weight of yours." I mumble but he clearly hears it as he stands up.
"Hey." he whines as I just shrug back.
"Can't blame me." I reply as he just pouts.
"You guys are funny!" the dark brown hair boy cheerfully laughs before Saotome joins in.
"As a prize! You're allowed to follow STARISH and QUARTET NIGHT for the whole day! You should be very attentive and learn a few points from them!" Saotome continues with his loud talking.
As the boys smile, I keep my poker face as I really don't wanna do this. I only did for these guys anyways.

"Ah! And Miss Melody," Saotome starts getting my attention, "I hear that you skipped class! I was truly hoping you wouldn't after the whole two weeks of you not skipping class. But seems like I was sadly mistaken."
I laugh nervously as I just look away from everyone's stares.
"So as punishment, please write another song for these boys and present it this week for the whole school!" he announces as everyone was shocked at this 'punishment'.
"Eh? Doesn't this punishment also involve us then?" Astrin asks.
"Well, if we get to present again. It allows us to have a higher chance of being idols later on." Sei states getting Astrin to have his sad eye twinkle happily.
"Wait, I got permission to skip though?!" I shout in shock at the betrayal.
"Not officially!" Saotome gives his famous laugh.
This is the first time in my whole life that I wanted to punch someone so bad.
Sighing, I walk up to Satome's desk and slam a small stack of papers from my school bag in front of him.
"Done." I say before turning away with a yawn.
"Eh??" people shout in shock as I find the hidden smile on Saotome's face.
"When did you—?" Sei asks in complete shock while looking over to me.
"Knowing that obnoxious principal, I predicted something like that would happen eventually." I answer loud enough for the man to hear himself.
"That's Melody for you." Yukio chuckles as Astrin takes the sheets and looks through them.
"Amazing! I can't wait to start!" he happily chirps.
"Judging by this, it must mean you've also already got the music?" Saotome asks smirks as I smirk back.
"That's correct." I reply.
"Melody! We're suppose to do things together!" Astrin whines.
"I'm the composer of the group. I should at least try to catch up and bring the best of your guys' abilities." I reason looking at the three shocked faces which slowly turn to nearly crying ones.

"Melody!" they jump on me as I was not ready for that making us all for down to the ground.
"Get off me, you lunatics!" I shout trying my best to get out of their tight grip.
I hear the others chuckle from this as they watch this scene unravel. Ugh, why was I ever paired with them. I actually wonder about that sometimes.
"Now we just have to make lyrics for it!" Yukio chirps as the other two nod energetically.
"Mister Saotome." Sei suddenly stands up before bowing, "Please postpone or cancel this event."
My eyes widen along with the rest of the two groups at his sudden request. That's when the other two boys look at each other and nod standing up along with their friend and bowing too.
"Please!" they both shout as I sit there on the ground still in shock.
Slowly, a smile rises on my lips as I cover my eyes smiling too much. Those idiots. Standing up, I dust myself off before looking over to Saotome. He look towards me. If he's expecting me to bow, hell no. And it's not like I need to, I know he'll be allowing it anyways. His smile widens as he uses his loud laugh.
"Fine. I'll postpone the event." And with that, he does one of his weird acts and disappears, "I hope you'll put on a good show!"
As silence then fills the whole room as the boys have now looked up. I close my eyes smiling at their courageous act. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to be with them.
~~~~~
"Brings back memories, doesn't it?" Reiji asks laughing loudly as everyone was sitting at one of the tables in the cafeteria.
After the boys' stunt, it seems like STARISH and QUARTET NIGHT had free time the whole day because of us now. They introduced themselves to us as we did the same. It was awkward but also warm since most of the people were easy going ones. Well, most. I lean back on the chair as the others have an energetic conservation. I never really liked getting into them. Well, before I would. But now, I feel that I've changed too much.
"Um." I hear Nanami speak beside me catching my attention," Melody is the composer right? I hope that we can get along."
I softly smile a bit, "Sure thing."
"MelMel doesn't like interacting that much, do you?" Reiji suddenly asks as I look over to him.
"MelMel?" I ask along with my team members.
That's when Astrin suddenly drops to the ground in depression getting everyone's attention, "I haven't even given her a nickname yet. And someone before me just did."
I sweat drop from this along with the others before sighing, "It's not like I do not like to interact with others. I do, I'm just not in the mood for it right now. Too concentrated about our performance."
"It's in a week right. Do you think we'll have enough time to get everything ready?" Yukio asks worried.
"We can just work on the music for now. And come up with a simple dance. For costumes, I think wearing the school uniforms will be good enough." I suggest as the other three consider it before agreeing.
"True. Melody, do you have the demo right now?" Sei asks.
"No, but I do have the piano version for it." I reply taking out my MP3 from my school bag.
"Oh! Let's hear! Let's hear!" Reiji shouts.
Unplugging my headphones, I allow the music to fill the cafeteria. The cheerful soft melody fills the place as everyone's attention was towards the music. When it ends, silence was the only thing that could be heard.
Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
Forced Immortality
Guy dies, transmigrates and then dies some more. Contrary to what you might think, this is actually a story about an OP protagonist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things to keep in mind before reading: - I have never written a story before so this will most likely end up being pretty bad. - I have done zero planning for this story. - This is mostly something i wanted to try out in my freetime so updates are going to be sporadic at best. - Chapter length will fluctuate until i figure out this whole writing thing. - I have no idea if there will be romance. Might add it in the future if this story somehow doesn't end up as a failure. - There will be some stuff from the Star Wars Universe but this is NOT a Star Wars fanfiction. - The story will be pretty explicit in the gore department so if your squeamish, beware. - This story will be a slow burn. - If any of the above changes, i'll update the synopsis and i might make a seperate chapter just detailing these points. - Last point, English isn't my native language so have some mercy on my poor soul, ok? If none of the above has scared you away then i invite you to join me on this catastrophic ride. It'll probably be kinda fun.....hopefully... This story is also on Scribblehub and Webnovel.
World leaders don't tend to survive very long if they don't have guards with them at all times. While officially there is no assassin's guild or thieves guild they do sure exist and are thriving like never before in the current political climate. That and the other guilds don't stop them since they also hire their services from time to time.The various temples and religions have no official power part from some nations which are based around a belief. In actuality though they have considerable powers since they control the masses just as well as the rulers themselves. Get on their bad side and you might just find an assassin coming for you. A young woman gets thrown into this grimdark world from our own. Will she survive the curveball that gets thrown in her face as she changes into something else? Map created by Maximeplasse This fiction is based on my play-per-post RP that I've run before but with my own take on summoned characters and dungeon settings. At certain points I'll also allow reader decisions if the story gets popular enough. xD It's unrelated to the D&D Theron setting; Telduria I just liked the name and the map when I started up the RP back in the day.
