Both Stormfly and I are flying around the island hopefully trying to find the others so we can get back to (y/n) and the cave. Luckily for the both of us we ran into Hiccup and Fishlegs thank the gods.

"Astrid, somethings going on with this island."- Hiccup

"Yeah I know. When we landed Stormfly started to act strange for a bit."- Astrid

"Same with my Meatlug and Toothless. Not to mention they kept trying to make us go somewhere."- Fishlegs

"Yeah about that um, it's a sound."- Astrid

"A sound? How do you know?"- Hiccup

"Also where's (y/n)?"- Fishlegs

"Well about that."- Astrid

I started to explain to them what had happened while both (y/n) and I were together. Fishlegs seemed to be very interested and Hiccup.

"And you just left him there!?"- Hiccup

"He said he would be fine and he'd let us know if he needs help."- Astrid

"Astrid this is my brother we're talking about. He's basically like Snotlout but, has my brains and common sense.... please don't tell him I said that."- Hiccup

"Pretty much what Hiccup is trying to say is that he probably went into the cave."- Fishlegs

(Your POV)

While I was walking in the cave I notice something very interesting. It's still well lit as in I don't need a torch to see where I'm going. What's the lighting this place there's no fires or anything going on. However the one thing that did get my attention more than that was that sound again but, this time it sounded more like a whisper. I took notice to the walls and saw that it started show writing and stuff on it writing that I have never seen before.

"What is this?"- (y/n)

I started to run my hand across the wall and it feels very dusty meaning that this stuff is old. I kept walk and walking until I found something that is both very sickening and shocking at the same time. And it was a crap ton of dead bodies and bones, I almost wanted to throw up keyword being almost. I did my best to walk around them but I saw something under one of the skulls hands.

"Is that a book?"- (y/n)

I walked over to the body and started to lightly pull it out from under it's hand.

"I'm sorry."- (y/n)

I took the book and opened it and I saw a note or at least a paragraph written in the Viking language.

'Greetings to whoever found this, my name and where I come from is it important. But what is important is the content that is written in these pages. For what I'm about to tell you miss shock you may even seem like a tall tale to you. But our world is inhabited by monsters.'- Note

"Well I mean yeah we have dragons flying around."- (y/n)

'And I don't mean dragons I mean actual monsters.'- Note

"Okay so I might have jumped the gun."- (y/n)

'Not only in my travels but in my discoveries I have found that there are more than just dragons roaming this earth. Creatures that may seem impossible to even comprehend to the human eye. Unlike some dragons that are friendly all these monsters are hostile and won't think twice to kill you. Me and my crew have tried to spread the word to other fellow Vikings but they wouldn't believe me nor would they listen to me. And so we all have decided to take it upon ourselves to discover each and every last one of these creatures and write it down in this book.'- Note

"So this is like The book of dragons we have back on Berk but, for monster?"- (y/n)

I looked closer at the book and I saw that was pretty worn out how old is this thing? While I was looking something fell out and it looked like a piece of paper that had a picture of a location on it. And it looked like it was deeper in the caves without hesitation I started to walk deeper and deeper into these caves and the more and more writing it starts to say that I couldn't understand. That was until I stopped and saw something I couldn't believe with my own eyes.

"A dragon egg?"- (y/n)

(Hiccups POV)

After we all managed to round up Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Snotlout we all started to follow Astrid to the cave she found.

"So what do you think we'll find when we get back? Maybe we'll find treasure."- Ruffnut

"Pirates treasure. Think of it me swimming in a pool of nothing but gold and having all the mutton I can eat."- Tuffnut

"Guys not now!"- Hiccup

"Hiccup relax he'll be fine."- Fishlegs

"Yeah when we were still fighting dragons your brother could hold his own against Hookfang."- Snotloud

"But this is different. Back then it was just training this is the real world now. My brother doesn't have a dragon like we do and for all we know he could have been left to his death. We don't know anything about this island for all we know there's a whispering death in one of those caves or even worse."- Hiccup

I could she everyone started to see my point and why I was so worried about my brother. And I'm not just worried because he might die I'm worried because he's more to me than just my brother he's my best friend. He always believed in me and always trusted me and I did the same for him.

"Hiccup, I'm so sorry that I left them behind."- Astrid

"Don't worry it's not your fault I don't blame you."- Hiccup

"Hey question."- Ruffnut

"I don't think now's the time."- Fishlegs

"No seriously it's very important."- Ruffnut

"And what can that possibly be?"- Snotlout

"What what you say if I said (y/n) is fine and that he's holding something in his arms?"- Ruffnut

"I'd say what the heck are you talking about."- Hiccup

"Oh because he's right there."- Ruffnut

I looked at the ground where Ruffnut was pointing and saw (y/n) walking around and trying to sneak around. I told everyone to fly down and land so we could see if he was okay and thankfully he noticed it was us.

"Oh thank Thor your okay!"- Hiccup

I got off Toothless and ran over to him and gave him a hug and patted his back.

"Is that a book?"- Fishlegs

"Yeah yeah it's a book."- (y/n)

"And what's that!?"- Tuffnut

I looked at what Tuffnut was pointing at and it looked like an egg a dragon egg.

"Where did you?"- hiccup

"No no no don't touch it don't touch it!!!"- (y/n)

"(Y/n) your hand!"- Astrid

"It's burned. Did that egg burn you!?"- Hiccup

"Cool a burning egg."- Tuffnut

"Hey wait a minute I don't remember those markings being on your arm before."- Snotlout

"Uuuuuuuuum."- (y/n)

It took about the same amount of time it took us to get from Berk to the island. But it was pretty smooth flying, when we all got into the arena I got off of toothless and put the egg on a small stand. The twins try to touch it but I smack their hands away before they could even get close.

"So you mind explaining to me what happened?"- Hiccup

"Well."- (y/n)

I started to tell hiccup and the others what happened when I found the egg. For some reason it was in a chest when I found it and it was in a very well hidden part of the cave if I didn't have the instructions I would have never found it. I told them how I went to go touch the egg it burned my hand and these markings just appeared. And while they were appearing my hand felt like it was on fire, I touched the egg again but, this time it didn't burn in fact it felt kind of cold. Want to finish everything off I also told them about the book and showed it to them.

"Oh man I wish I was there!"- Ruffnut

"Oh man not I've got to touch it!"- Tuffnut

"Tuff no!!"- (y/n)

Obviously not listening to me Tuffnut ran over to the egg and touched it which was a bad idea. The second he did his hands start to smoke causing him to yell and run over to the water barrel and stick his hands inside of it. But, weirdly enough he didn't get tattoos on his arm like I did.

"Awe!"- Tuffnut

"Okay so we have an extremely hot egg. And a book this doesn't really seem to be good."- Snotlout

"Make that a blank book."- Fishlegs

"Wait what?"- (y/n)

"Did you even bother to look at this thing when you got it? Look there's nothing written inside of this. Other than the first page that has the note nothing."- Fishlegs

Fishlegs handed me the book and it started to slightly burn something on the pages.

"Holy!"- (y/n)

I dropped the book in panic and everyone else stood back but it didn't catch fire. It looked like word were getting burned onto it I walked to it and picked it up. The others walked behind me and were all confused because it was the same markings on my arm. But, something weird is going on now.

"What language is that?"- Astrid

"I've never seen anything like it before."- Fishlegs

"You guys can't read it? Because I can."- (y/n)

"Well what's it say what's it say!? My hands are still burning."- Tuffnut

"For the one who has made it this far into this book. Congratulations, you are now officially a monster hunter."- (y/n)

"A what!?"- Ruffnut

"Shh! Keep reading."- Fishlegs

"As you have read in my note this world is inhabited not only by dragons but, monsters. Only the one bearing the markings of a monster hunter will be able to read the contents that are written in this book. For you see me and my crew have sworn to each other that someone should be worthy of ridding one of these creatures. Only someone who is truly worthy will touch the egg and gain marks on their arm others will be met with nothing but pain and agony."- (y/n)

"Oh you don't say!!!"- Tuffnut

"Quiet!"- Snotlout

"More so on the egg if you have successfully secured it simply place your hand on it and recite these words."- (y/n)

I gave the book to Hiccup and walked over to the egg placing both my hands on it and started to speak the words.

"From the flowing Sea, to the soaring sky, to the Crumbling earth. I release you from your prison so you may live or die."- (y/n)

When I spoke those words the egg started to crack and glow red until it exploded and sent me flying back abit but, thankfully Fishlegs caught me and we all looked at what came out of the egg.

"Isn't that?"- (y/n)

"A dragon?"- Hiccup

"But I've never seen anything like it before."- Astrid

"A new species maybe?"- Fishlegs

"What ever it is. It looks so cool!!"- Snotlout

The dragon sounded like it just yawned and looked around. For some reason the second it saw me it started to lightly screech and crawled right over to me sitting in my lap.

"What the?"- (y/n)

I started to lightly scratch its head and it purred like it was a cat. I told Hiccup to hand me the book which he did and I out loud again.

"When you are done sing the chant have a piece of the monster touch the book. It can be its hand, tail, horn, blood, even saliva will do just as long as it comes from that creature."- (y/n)

I put the book down next to me and it seemed like the little thing was getting nice and cozy on my lap. I didn't want to move it so I just put my hand right in front of its face so I can try to lick it and thankfully it did. The second it got done licking my hand I turned the page of the book and lightly rub the saliva on it what happened next was pretty cool honestly.

"Oh my Thor."- Snotlout

"That is so awesome!! What's it say what's it say!?"- Fishlegs

"Calm down will you. It says here that it's name is, Valstrax?"- (y/n)

"A Valstrax?"- Hiccup

"An elder dragon that soars at very high altitudes far from human habitation. Its flaming red wings are often the only visible sign of it, giving rise to its nickname, the Argent Comet. Those wings aren't just for flying, though, and are easily used to stab, rend and blow away its enemies. Occasionally, one can find the scorched shells it has left behind."- (y/n)

"This is cool an all but, did anyone else get the part about it being an Elder Dragon?"- Astrid

"What else does it say."- Hiccup

"There's a lot of stuff in this book Hiccup. So much that it might be more than the book of dragons."- (y/n)

"Cool really cool! Hey (y/n) do you want it!? I'll take it please say I can have it!"- Tuffnut

The dragon most of heard what he said and lifted it head out of my lap and fired a red fireball at Tuffnut and it was a crazy fast on too.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! My butt my butt!!"- Tuffnut

"I don't think he likes that idea."- Astrid

"Shooting a fireball that fast as a newborn. This is something spectacular."- Hiccup

"What do we do with it?"- Ruffnut

"I said we keep it."- Fishlegs

"And I have to agree. Alright little guy let's get you."- Hiccup

Before hiccup can even get close to it the dragon screeched and snapped at him causing Hiccup to back up.

"Hey hey none of that."- (y/n)

The dragon seemed to calm down and go back to resting in my arms like a baby.

"It looks like it likes you the most. I think it thinks you're its mother."- Fishlegs

"Wait (y/n) has a kid now? Oh man he probably can't join the Dragon riders now."- Tuffnut

"Oh my Thor."- Snotlout

"Well I guess I can keep it. But first we got to find out what gender this thing is. Or at least give it a name."- (y/n)

"That's a good idea what should we call it?"- Hiccup
