《Make Me Love Again (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES)》THE HYBRID

Klaus Stefan and I are walking in the mountains. Stefan is carrying Ray, unconscious, on his shoulders.
"You okay? Is Ray getting heavy?" Klaus taunts Stefan who seems to be struggling.
"I'm fine." Stefan grunts out at him not really in the mood to talk to him.
"You sure about that? You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit-down..." klaus continues but is then cut off by Stefan.
"You know, I get that we're, uh...we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great." Stefan tells him.
"Yes please do shut up klaus, do you love the sound of your own voice or something? It beginning to get irritating." I add in.
"So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend. And Aria love, I thought that you weren't talking to me anymore, considering that you find me, what was it? Oh yes a Dick." He says mockingly.
"Maybe it's 'cause Aria and I are a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer." Stefan tells him beginning to get really annoyed.
"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. There." Klaus says with evil happiness. We stop. We had found the pack's camp. Everybody looks over to Stefan as we enter their camp. Everyone looks at him. He puts Ray on the ground. A woman rushes over to him.
"Ray! Oh, my God. What's going on? Who are you?" The women rushes out in a rage. Klaus joins Stefan.
"The important question is who am I. Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus." Klaus says to the pack smugly.
"You're the hybrid." The women says and Klaus smiles.
"You've heard of me. Fantastic." Klaus says smirking.
Klaus, Stefan and I are sitting. Everyone is standing still, looking at Klaus and listening.
"It's fascinating, actually...A werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid." Klaus tells them smugly, he really does have a big ego. All of a sudden a large gasp is heard as Ray comes back to life.
"Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic." Klaus tells him.
"What's happening to me?" Ray asks no one in particular in panic.
"Stefan?" Klaus asks him as Stefan gets up.
"Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to vampire. If he doesn't get it, he will die." Stefan tells the wolves emotionlessly, looking around for any humans.
"Doesn't take much, just a sip. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend, along for the ride?" Klaus asks them in a smug manner that I think he literally uses for every. Bored I look over at the crowd and spot a human in the background. I lightly tapped on klaus's shoulder and he looks down at me with a soft smile on his face.

"Him." I say pointing to a man.
"Thank you, love. You!" Klaus says before rushing over to the man biting his forearm.
Stefan grabs him, throws him on the ground in front of Ray. The woman protests but Klaus strangles her.
"If you don't drink it, Ray, I will. Problem is I don't know how to stop." Stefan tells him as klaus looks over to the girl that was holding him.
"It's the new order, sweetheart. You join us, or you die." Klaus tells her.
"I'd rather die than be a vampire." The woman spits out to klaus.
"Wrong choice." He tells her and He gives her his blood. Ray drinks the blood from the man.
"She'll thank me for that later. Heh." Klaus says as He twists her head and kills her.
"Okay, who's next?" He asks, his eyes are now yellow and his fangs out out which intrigues me immensely.
Whilst klaus is turning all of the wolves into hybrids Stefan comes over and sits next to me.
"Why do you hate Elena?" Stefan asks me rather bluntly.
"I do not hate Elena, Stefan. I greatly dislike her for many reasons, but I do not hate her.
"What are those reasons then." He asks me sarcastically almost as if he doesn't believe me.
"Well there are many reasons Steffie. The first one is that she was the reason I triggered my curse, she was the one who tripped over the girl, yet because I tried to save her the blame fell down to me. Then she made my name practically scum, everywhere. She used to help my parents experiment on me. She was supposed to be my sister but the second she could she turned her back on me." I tell him.
"I don't believe you." Stefan tells me with his mouth slightly agape.
"Believe what you want Stefan, the truth will come out eventually." I say moving to a log further away, leaving Stefan in his own thoughts.
Klaus gives his blood to the human.
"There. Good as new. Now you relax, okay, mate? We're gonna need you when the rest of them wake up." He compels the human that was being used to help make the hybrids. Nearby Ray is sitting on a rock, grabbing at his body and shivering, I all over to him and gently encase his body in a hug which he shortly relaxes into.
"They're dead. They're all dead." Ray mutters into my shoulder.
"Ah, he's through his transition. He should be feeling better soon." Klaus says to no one in particular whilst glaring daggers at Ray who was in my arms.
"So is this your master plan? Build an army of hybrid slaves?" Stefan asks klaus sarcastically in a annoyed mood.
"No, not slaves. Soldiers, comrades." Klaus tells him with a sound of disgust at the word slaves.
"For what war, might I ask?" I ask him genuinely curious. Releasing Ray but still sitting next to him.

"Oh, you don't arm yourself after war has been declared, love. You build your army so big that no one ever dares pick a fight." Klaus tells me with a smile.
"What makes you so sure that they'll be loyal?" Stefan cuts back in with.
"Well, it's not difficult to be loyal when you're on the winning team. That's something you'll learn once you shake that horribly depressive chip off your shoulder." Klaus tells Stefan, he lets out a laugh.
"That's why you're, uh...you're keeping me around? To witness my attitude adjustment? And what about Aria? Why is she here?" Stefan asks him. Klaus looks at Ray, he goes over and sits on the other side of Ray and examines his face. I look over to just now notice that Ray's eyes are bleeding.
"You'll know why I'm keeping you around when I've decided that I want you to know. As for Aria, I will tell her when I feel the time is right and that time is not now." Klaus snaps at Stefan.
"Something's wrong." Klaus whispers out.
"That shouldn't be happening, should it?" Stefan asks him emotionless.
"Well, obviously." Klaus snaps back at him.
Ray is shaking and his eyes are still bleeding. I immediately know that something was wrong, this wasn't part of the process
"You said it was gonna feel better. Why doesn't it feel better?" Ray asks me whilst rocking backwards and forwards.
"Some master race." Stefan snarks at me.
"Lose the attitude." I snap back at him, I look over to see the women from earlier waking up.
"Derek, come feed your girlfriend." I say As He gets up. Ray snarls and jumps on top of aria biting down on her shoulder making her Yelp out in pain and leaves. I look over to Stefan .
"Go get him." I command walking over to Aria, seeing that the bite hasn't healed I immediately bite into my wrist placing my arm in-front of her. She hesitantly takes my wrist, slowly drinking until it healed.
"Why did it not heal, love?" I ask her gently.
"The healing process has been slow since Elijah was daggered, I think it has something to do with the soulmate thing." She replies.
I stay silent after that until Stefan arrives not long later.
"Where did he go?" I ask Stefan as he arrives back.
"He, uh...he got away. Forget him. Let's go." Stefan rushes out, I look over to his arm and grab it.
"A fatal werewolf bite. Ouch." I say in faux sympathy.
"Yeah. I'm gonna need your blood to heal me." Stefan asks nervously.
"Well, I tell you what. You find Ray, and then I'll heal you." I tell him.
"Can't be serious." I hear Aria yell at me.
"Deadly, love. You better hurry, 'cause that bite looks nasty." I tell Stefan as he speeds away. I go back to the campsite and see the others are waking up. All of their eyes are bleeding.
It's nighttime and none of the hybrids have works, I look around for the next hybrid to kill. I had already told aria to stand back and not let her get involved, I cannot risk her getting hurt.
"Bad news, my friend. End of the road for you." I tell the man I know as Derek, he does not resist as I drink his blood killing him. The women infront of him let's out a growl
"Careful, love. There's only one Alpha here." I tell her to see that All the werewolves are staggering around the camp, their eyes bleeding. They look like zombies.
"Bloody hell." I mutter.
Stefan walks back to camp back with Ray over his shoulders. The rest of the pack are lying on the ground dead. I look over to Stefan who drops a dead Ray on the ground.
"They went rabid. Some of them, I killed. The others just...Bled out. In the end...They're all dead." I tell him. I yell and throw the bottle of beer in my hand.
"I did everything I was told!" I scream at the sky.
"I should be able to turn them. I broke the curse. I killed a werewolf. I killed a vampire. I killed the doppelgänger." I say regaining my composure. I look over at Stefan who look uncomfortable.
"You look like hell." I tell him.
"Last I checked, I'm dying...and you don't want to heal me." Stefan snarks. I look over to Ray who is dead on the floor.
"I had to take him out. I didn't have a choice. I failed you. I'm sorry. Do what you have to do.
Klaus: It should have worked." Stefan tells me monotonously.
I turn around and take an empty bottle of beer. I bite my hand, make a fist, then place the blood draining from the bite in the bottle and hold the bottle out to Stefan.
"Bottoms up. We're leaving." I tell Stefan as he takes the bottle.
"It appears you and Aria are the only comrades I have left. Come along now love." I tell him giving my hand over to Aria which she take with a lot less hesitant than earlier.
"Are you ok." I hear aria whisper to me stopping walking.
"I will be love, I just need to work out why my hybrids aren't working. Build my army, so that I can reunite my family." I tell her.
"Your not alone klaus." She tells me and wraps her hands around my waist At first I am very hesitant but I slowly relax into her arms.
"Come on love, let's get back to the car." I tell her as she releases me from the hug and we walk back over to the car.

You have such an amazing way to make the words flow and unbelievable descriptions. Unique characters and a great story line. All the small clues and mystery in the humor and fantasy just makes the book perfect in my opinion. I read all chapters in two days! Less than 48 hours even! I'm REALLY looking forward to the next update, the world of Aethernea is so deep and well thought out, it's beautiful and magical. God I can't believe how creative you are, so many small details with so many families and stories everywhere. Purely fantastical, I admire you." - astro-logical from Wattpad "I love love love Aethernea so much! It is amazing how you created this new world with different creatures, magics, looks, illnesses, and evil! I was blown away by your explanation of the Mana pools and how to weave magic! Simply stunning really! You are one of my favorite authors and Wattpad and I am so glad I stumbled upon Aethernea because it is worth all of my time reading!" - Adriana_V_Blade from Wattpad "I absolutely am loving Aethernea so far. I am certain you belong in the ranks among J.K. Rowling, Rick Riordan, Suzane Collinings, and many more great and wonderful authors. You opened up a whole new world for me, which only a few great authors have accomplished. While it's true I am pulled into each and every book, few are able to capture me to the point of inescapability. Though, somehow, you have managed this feat. I thank you for this and more! You are a wonderful author and can't wait for more to come!" - daughterofpercabeth7 from Wattpad "WOW! just caught Aethernea in gravity tales! Just when I was getting tired of most xianxia novels this appears and completely blows my mind! I really like the depth and the humorous touch you give the characters and it seems you have the storyline well thought out since you are always hinting about things in the past and the future. It has been such an enjoyable experience that I couldn't stop reading, finishing it in just one day and laughing my way through most of the episodes. But what keeps me so excited for what's coming is the magic system and the professions of the world you are creating. The magic mechanics have such a huge potential! They are simple but at the same time they open so many possibilities. Even though we still only understand the basics of transmutation and augmentation, I expect them to enable fights where there is need of quick thinking and skill, and not just brainless overpower of every opponent. In a way this makes me reminiscent about The Mistborn Series by Brandon Sanderson, which are one of my favorite series ever. The thing that sets Mistborn apart from any other series is that the mechanics are so well thought out that they could be used to create a super cool triple A video game and I cannot help but hope Aethernea reaches the same level or even surpass it. I really think it has that potential. Really hope this series gets the attention it deserves. As for me, Thursdays and Sundays just got a whole more exciting! =)" - AlexMLion "Your writing is fantastic and riveting, the chapters and character flow so smooth, and it captivates the reader with the many twist and turns that tricks one mind into thinking this is about to happen, when suddenly the exact opposite happens. You truly are in inspirational writer with a brilliant mind that can see and put words into chapters and into this one truly awesome book. Thank you!" - AshleyStaar from Wattpad "I loved this story, such detailed description and accurate words, both Kiel and Elaru completely caught my attention, your writing style is just beautiful and the plot is astounding and it's just the first episode! This kind of fantasy stories are my favourite, it has a lot of magic in it, rivalry and sense of humour." - BlackWhiteD from Wattpad
