《The Gotham Ghost King》So What?

"It's been five minutes and I wouldn't suggest leaving me alone for much longer!!!" I yelled at the door.
Nightwing came in, and leaned against the wall. "Sorry. I was calling someone. I've got someone coming in for you in three minutes."
"Well, I REALLY wouldn't suggest leaving me here for much longer."
"Why?"
I pointed at the corner of the metal table, where the corner of the table was now rounded with a picture of a sword forming on it in sharpie.
Nightwing looked at the picture, and then slowly looked up at me. "Do you want to come out here?"
"What do you think?"
I followed the 'superhero' out of the room and through the police station until we entered a lounge.
After we both sat down, Nightwing asked "So, do you have any medical issues?"
"I have ADHD, but just to the point where I can get antsy when I'm left alone, but that's nothing. I'm dyslexic to the point where words are almost impossible to read, and I'm colorblind."
"What kind of colorblind?"
"I'm fully colorblind."
Nightwing looked at me with a tiny bit of sympathy. "Really? No colors at all?"
"Life is just a black and white picture."
"Has your eyesight always been like that?"
"Yeah. Ever since I can remember."
After a few more minutes of absent chatting, a solid knock was heard, and Nightwing jumped up to answer it. After he opened the door to let in Commissioner Gordon, who I met earlier, and a tall man.
He looked at me and exclaimed "You're that kid that flipped me off earlier!"
I shrugged, and replied "So what? This is Gotham. I'm Nico."
"The thing that shocked me most was the backflip you did. My name is Bruce Wayne. I was contacted by Batman and Nightwing."

"For what reason?" I asked, immediately put on guard.
"I would like to see if you would like a place to stay for the foreseeable future."
I leaned back in my chair. "Okay then. First of all, how 'bout you tell me some facts about yourself."
"As I said, my name is Bruce Wayne and I am the owner and CEO of Wayne Enterprises. I live in a more secluded area of Gotham, as my house is located in a forest that I own. I am 34 years old and have two adopted boys, Richard and Jason."
"Okay. My name is Nick Dalton, you can call me Nico, and I am 17 years old. I know more about self defense then the average adult and I have a boyfriend that will also be joining me tomorrow, whether I join you or not.
Bruce asked "So you're gay?"
"Yes. Gay and asexual. Got a problem with that?" I growled defensively, my arms automatically crossing and my feet planting on the floor.
"No. None at all."
"Moving on, if I am going to be staying with you for any period of time, I expect to have my boyfriend stay with us."
"Sure. But let me make it clear that you two will not be sharing the same room," Bruce seriously replied.
"Due to personal reasons, that arrangement will be unacceptable."
"Why exactly?" Bruce questioned.
"Night terrors. I can, however, promise that we will be doing nothing inappropriate while in the same room."
"We can discuss this at a later time."
"Agreed."
"It there anything else I should know about you?"
"I have temper issues and need my personal space."
"Understandable. Anything else, or would you like to go to my house?"
"Let's go."

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
