NOBODY'S POV
Today was the faithful day.
Today was the time izuku will get his chance to show the world his greatness.
A moment of disaster.
A moment of loss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku woke up to the sound of his alarm.
The smashed it hard and it broke into pieces.
He steadily stood up and went to the shower to get ready for the day.
He was silent.... Too focused to talk and mumble about anything.... The pressure was getting to him now.
He needed complete control of the pressure.
He slowly turned the knob around and let the warm water calm him, but of me help at all.
His eyes were still dead serious, he was really feeling it through his body.
His mind echoing of how difficult the battle is going to be, his own heartbeat being heard with each heavy thump.
He can hear water droplets falling off and crash to the floor.
He was in total focus and worry that everything around him was on slow motion.
The atmosphere was tense to suffocate anyone in with him at the same room.
No matter what the others will say, izuku will ignore them.
He was too deep in thought.
Too deep under the pressure.
And too deep into focus.
His eyes burned with determination and absolute will power. He wasn't planning to put his training into waste and let his Gramps's down, especially inko.
He promised her that he will be the number one by any means necessary.
And this was one of those opportune moments to shine and appeal to the world.
He needs to get pass his barriers to achieve his dreams.
Everything was set. He was ready.... His face again full of determination and sheer will power.
And that alone can make a man step out of his limits and rise to even greater standards. But the atmosphere was too tense, too suffocating, too unnerving. So much more that now everyone else in the house can feel his tension.
They remained silent as inko cooked breakfast without her happy humming, Sasuke just ignoring the tension, Madara just sipping his Jasmine tea and not minding it.
"Will he be fine?" Inko asked. Her face was with a worried expression. She was also being affected by the tense atmosphere being emitted by izuku.
"He will be fine inko... He is just feeling the world's pressure at his fingertips and mind. But I believe he will get pass that... You'll see." Madara said as he continued to sip his tea.
Inko gave a more worried glance towards him as she continued to cook. She knew this wasn't going to be pretty.
Seeing her son all bruised and possibly in the worse condition. The thought of that makes her stomach turn, her protective nature going overdrive. No mother could bear to see the sight of their child all banged up and much worse.
They can't stand that sight and try their best to help in any way possible.
Inko was feeling that now, oh how she felt trembling while cooking.
Sasuke sighed and stood up.
She went towards inko and gestured her to sit down. She nodded warily as she got a glass of water and sat down next to Madara.
He put an apron on and started to continue cooking for inko.
Sasuke learned to cook while Itachi was still around. Those experience would now come in handy for him.
He sighed as he cooked the sunny side up eggs, casually flipping them over.
He was calm, and not bothered by izuku's tension at all.
He was thinking of watching him at his academy, seeing him compete with and against his friends.
Sasuke then remembered his times back at konohagakure. How he made a few friends, and utterly abandoning them in search of power.
The thought of that made Sasuke sigh in disappointment, but what's done is done now.
He placed the plate full of eggs on the table and Madara stood up to gather the plates and utensils. Sasuke turned towards inko and went to her, sat down, and gently patted her back.
"You know... You don't need to worry this much for izuku... He has become a lot stronger now and can defend for himself and come back home all safe and sound. Trust me and trust him... In fact he will put up a great spectacle in the battle field and appeal to the world of his power and dream to be a hero." Sasuke said as inko was slightly relieved of what he said.
She calmed down and drank what's left of her cup.
Sasuke smirked and sat properly now. Madara came back with the utensils and plates and placed them all properly and went to get the rice.
He went to place the rice cooker at the center of the table and excused himself to call izuku.
Madara's POV
I was on my way to the kids room to call for him but for some reason there's something not letting me continue further. I can feel a sense of dread and an eerily deafening sound as I got closer and closer to his room.
The tension was so suffocating that I can barely think straight and breath properly without taking a pause and think about all this.
I can just imagine the kid in battle just releasing all that bottled feelings out and demolishing his enemies in an instant.
After our spar the other day I can clearly see his potential to surpass me and only me, the Great Madara Uchiha.
I am currently placing all of my pride and high expectations and standards to him, to live up to the name of uchiha.
And with his dream to become the greatest hero and use of it, it seems he and I both have similar dreams but on different methods.
His is to help people in his presence. To be there for them, the reassure them that when he is alive non can give out harm.
Mine on the other hand was twisted, ruthless, I tried to put everyone in a illusion and ultimately I failed to realise that I made a crucial error to my dream and almost set mankind to slavery.
Nonetheless I we still had to the same idea and dream.
But how about our philosophical mindset? Would it be any differ from me, or his is more to it than that?
I noticed now I was in front of his room.
The tension was not more heavy than ever.
I can feel a slight tremble on my knees.
I feel useless right now.
Me who is obviously older, more powerful can be trembling from the presence of someone more younger than me.
It's absurd really. But it just goes to show, that the kid really is one hell of an uchiha to be.
"I got this.... He's family, and obviously younger than me." I told myself as I knocked on his door.
The tension slowly died out.
With each of my breath, the pressure started to dissipate and I can think straight again.
The door opened and I saw izuku who was in his academy uniform already.
"Um morning Gramps... What are you here for?" He asked. His voice so calm, yet I get that feel of threat.
"Breakfast is ready, your mom and useless gramps made it. You should eat with us now... You don't want an empty stomach while destroying your opponents l now do you?" I shrugged off the thought of how potentially dangerous he is in his state right now.
He nodded as I smiled lowly.
He finally opened his door all the way and grabbed his bag and went with me to the kitchen.
We saw the table and the food was ready.
Izuku went ahead and sat beside his mom.
He took a plate and stuffed some food and rice into it.
His mom chuckled as he ate them at a fast pace.
Glad to know she was back to being happy and less worried now.
Me and Sasuke looked at each other and nodded. Apparently he wanted to see his great grandson to fight where he was and and he made me come with.
I cleared my throat as it both caught the attention of the two.
"Well izuku it seems that the festival will start very soon.... And so since we trained you beforehand, we will take the courtesy to watch you along with the audience at your academy. Make sure not to lose... Otherwise you will have a more intense training if you did."
I said with a hint of danger at the last part.
Izuku frantically nodded as he finished his food and placed his plate at the sink.
He got up and gave a goodbye to us.
"We will follow him later, but for now let us help you clean up inko. That way you will have more time to watch your son in the festival." I said as I collected all the pots and the rice cooker and placed them beside the sink.
Sasuke nodded and also helped out.
Inko thanked us for the help and we said nothing but thanked her with the action we were doing.
You better live up to my expectations.
