Choosing herself over her own father hurt her badly. She spent the whole night crying but at least she had Elijah. He let her cry into his shoulder.

Even Klaus in his wolf form recognizes that his mate needed him, so he, every once in a while, would go up to her and rub her legs. She would rub his head and they would stay in this position until she got tired of being coddled.

Finally daytime, and Klaus had changed back. With Zola on his back, Elijah hands Klaus clothes to get dressed.

"Is she okay?"

"Niklaus, how do you think she feels? She chose us over her own blood father. He might not have been the best but he was still her father"

"And he chose that scooby little clan over his own blood daughter. He deserves it" Klaus sneers

Klaus finishes getting dressed and takes Zola off Elijah's back, carrying her, holding her close.

"The reason for that?"

"You've been able to hold her for the past two days, I think I get to hold her now" Klaus states, kissing Zola on the forehead.

By the time they get to Alaric's apartment, Zola has woken up. They are there so Zola can pack some things up and Klaus and Elijah wanted to help her pack some things up, also to protect her in case her father or whoever is there.

Now that Klaus is a hybrid, he wants to turn other werewolves not for his protection but for Zola's, so they will be leaving tonight.

Upon entering they noticed Katherine holding something.

"Klaus, you're back. Look who decided to come for a visit."

Katherine moves Stefan so he is in view of Klaus's eye

"You just keep popping up, don't you?"

"I need your help...For my brother." Stefan asks

"What happened?" Zola asks out of curiosity

"Tyler bit him when he was transforming"

Zola nods, not knowing whether to be sad for Damon. She squeezes Klaus's hand, and let's go so she can walk to her room to start to pack up. Elijah follows her while Klaus stays in the living room with Stefan and Katherine.

"Elskan, are you okay?" Elijah reaches out to grab her hand to stop her from packing anything else. "I'm breathing, and I'll get over it"

"You don't need to keep in it"

"No I don't but I don't think you or Nikki would like to be my personal punching bag. Now would you?"

"Anything for you love" Elijah said seriously but Zola took it as a joke "Anything for you love" Zola mocks him, giggling.

He shakes his head and lets her finish up. Once she had finished up, Elijah took her bags to the car and she followed him out to the living room, and sees Stefan surrounded by empty blood bags.

"Klaus, the hell you do?" Zola exclaims

"He wanted a deal, I gave him one"

"Really? Forcing him to take all these is a way for a deal."

"Yes or I could not just save his brother"

"You're being mean"

"And you are beautiful, standing there being adorable. Now let's go, Stefan has his deal and you are all packed up"

"Where to?" Zola asks

"We need to do some werewolves searching"

"Can't you just, I don't know, sniff them out?" Zola jokingly asks, running out of the apartment.

"Get back here"

Klaus runs after her, trying to catch her. He could've vamp-speed but he knew it wouldn't be any fun and lets just what she needs, fun.

Zola runs outside and sees Elijah by a car. "Lijah, Nikki trying to get me. Help"

Elijah turns around to see his mate and his brother running around like some kids.

"So why Zola? Why compel her?" Stefan asks Elijah, looking at Klaus and her play fighting in the street, confused

"We didn't do nothing, she is coming out of her free will"

"She wouldn't, she wouldn't just betray her father like that"

"Things aren't always black and white Stefan. She's our soulmate. So watch what you say because I'll personal rip your tongue out and feed it to your brother" Elijah threatens

Elijah calls out to Zola and Klaus for them to get into the car, they have a long summer ahead of themselves.

"Wait, can we do something first before we leave?"

"Sure what is it love"

There was a knock on the Gilbert door.

"I got it" Alaric tells Jeremy

He opens the door to see no one. He hears a rustle and looks down by his feet to see a letter with his name on it. He notices that it's Zola's handwriting

"Who was it?" Jeremy asks

"Ding Dong ditch I guess"

Alaric goes to the living room, and sits by the fire.

He rips the letter open and unfolds it.

Dear dad,

Sometimes, things just happen that just make sense. That is what happened in that apartment that night. Something that just makes sense. Being there and talking with Elijah and Klaus felt right and yeah, I don't know if I'll survive being around them. But I want to try, for me.

And you aren't a bad father, just not the best. I'll be fine, I always am. So don't worry about me too much, I'll be fine with my wolfie, and deadie.

P.S. Klaus somewhat apologizes for what he did to Jenna. She was one of the best step mom I can ask for. Take care of each other, because now you guys have an infinite amount of time to love and cherish each other. Just remember to invite me to the wedding.

"Alaric? You okay?" Jeremy asks, seeing that he is crying.

Alaric didn't even realize he was crying until his tears hit the paper. He turned it over and in big bold letters, it says BURN IT AFTER READING IT.

He chuckles and nods, he throws the paper into the lit fireplace.

"I'm fine"
