《Kindred Spirits》Chapter 13

Zola indeed decided to wear black today
She just hopes she didn't wear it for the reason she put it on.
Zola and Klaus walked into the Grill with one of the hybrids.
Elijah wished to go with them, but he is looking into Zola's psychic problem. Zola has been feeling somewhat queasy lately and he doesn't want it to get worse.
"Klaus." Elena states, making their presences known. Damon walks in front of Elena, hoping to shield her from Klaus' danger. "You gonna do this in the Grill? In front of everyone? It's a little beneath you, don't you think?"
"Please don't mind us. And I don't know what you are talking about. I just came down to my local pub to grab a drink with my lovely mate and friend"
Tony walks up to them, smirking at Elena.
"Get a round in, would you Tony? And order some fries for Zola"
Tony nods, walking past them and heading to the bar.
"I'm surprised you guys stuck around town long enough for happy hour. Where is Elijah?" Damon questioned, seeing that he is not stuck hip to hip with Zola like he usually is.
"Elijah is doing a favor for me. Do you want me to call him? It sounds like you miss him dearly" Zola jokes, giggling.
"Funny kid. You gonna let him do this?"
"He's not gonna do anything. Right, Nikki?" Zola states, looking at Klaus pointedly who raised his hands.
"Yes of course my love." Klaus looks over to Damon questioningly "My sister seems to be missing. Need to sort that out."
"Cute blonde bombshell, psycho. Shouldn't be too hard to find." Damon sasses, but Zola sighs "Please Damon, where she is?"
"Sorry kid, don't know where she is"
Zoa rolls her eyes. She knows he is lying but she will just have to let Klaus take care of it. She walks over to the darts and try throwing some, trying to hit bullseye.
"You know, truth is I've grown to rather like your little town. Think I might fancy a home here. Oh I imagine you're wondering how does this is affect you. The answer is: not in the slightest. As long as I get what I want and everyone behaves themselves you can go on living your little lives however you choose. You have my word." Klaus mockingly states, walking over to Zola and grabbing the dart from her hand.
"What more could you possibly want?" Elena mutters
"Well for starters, you can tell me where I might find Stefan."
"Stefan skipped town the second he saved your ass." Damon grits, still upset with the whole situation that happened.
"Well you see that is a shame. Your brother stole from me. I need him found so I can take back what's mine" Klaus sternly demands, throwing the dart and getting bulls-eye.
Elena scoffs, "That sounds like a Klaus and Stefan problem."
Klaus smirks, and grabs Zola's hand. "Well this is me broadening the scope, sweetheart"
Klaus signals Tony to grab Zola's food and leaves the restaurant.

"Do you know where Elijah is now, love?"
"Umm no, he texted me before we got here that he had found a witch that knew more about my visions and she had something to help. He said if everything goes well, he should be back soon"
"Good, the sooner we figure out how to control those visions, the sooner I can use you for my personal gain" Klaus jokingly states but Zola scoffs and rips her hand from his hold. She pushes Klaus so his back is against the passenger side of his car.
"I would like to see you try. Because if you do somehow have success with that, I'll make sure to really channel my mother." Zola gets closer to his eye and whispers "I'll kill you"
She hold a glare for a second then smiles and giggles, kisses his cheek and moves him. Getting into the car, smirking.
Kluas shakes his head at his mate's playfulness, and gets into the car.
Klaus would never use Zola's gift against her will. If she wanted to help him will be out of her own will.
Klaus drives around for a bit and then goes to the Salvatore house to try and talk with Damon.
"Stay in the car will you, love? I won't be long"
He gets out and walks into the house. Zola sighs and texts Elijah. She sees the replying bubbles but everything starts to get blurry. She drops her phone out of shock, and groans from the sudden pain in the head.
"Ok, breathe and just let go Zola or it will hurt more" Zola mutters to herself, remembering what Gloria had told her. Zola tries to relax and leans into her seat more.
Suddenly Zola is brought into a dark room.
Zola looks around and sees nothing but seven coffins.
She opens the first one to see Esther.
Next one Mikael, and then Finn, Kol, and Rebekah.
Having seen the pattern, she guesses that Elijah and Klaus will be in the next two. But when she opened them both, it was empty.
Zola tried to talk but she couldn't. Her mouth felt so heavy and stiff that she just felt more pain trying to talk.
She then heard something from behind her. She turns around to see Elijah and Klaus standing there both holding their heart.
"Elijah. Niklaus" She mouths
She goes to touch them but they start to cry out in pain. She felt it as well. She holds her chest, crying out.
She looks down and sees blood pouring from underneath her shirt. She looks back up to see a shadow figure standing over Elijah's and Klaus's dead body.
"You're next"
She tries to run away while all of the Mikaelson coffins go up on fire.
The shadow figure grabs her and turns her to look at him.
"Dad?"
Alaric tilts his head, analyzing her and reaches forward. Punching through her chest and grabbing hold of her heart. "It will be better this way"
Alaric points his hand to the coffins and Zola turns her head. She sees that every single coffin but one is burned to unrecognizing charred wood. She tries to look closer but then she screams out in pain, having her heart ripped out by her own father. She goes to fall but everything goes flashing white.

"Zola! God damn it, come back to me please" Klaus screams out, blood surrounding his mouth and shaking Zola.
Zola gasps out, heavy breathing. She looks to her right sharply to see Klaus looking frantically at her. "Love, are you okay?"
Zola feels wetness around her mouth and reaches up to touch it. She pulls his hand back to see blood. "What happened?"
"You tell me. I came back to see you shaking frantically and then you started to bleed love. I tried healing you but it didn't stopyet now. What the bloody hell happened?" Klaus states in a low, caring voice. Wiping off the blood around Zola's mouth.
"I don't know. It wasn't like a vision. It was real, and I felt everything" Zola whimpers "My own dad ripped my heart from my chest and he killed you, Lijah. It was horrible, I-i-i"
Klaus shushes her, pulling her into his chest "That's enough Love. Let's go home, clean up and we can talk about it more once Lijah gets home."
"Of course because when Lili home, everything turns into fairy dust," Zola jokes, wiping her eyes. Klaus laughs and agrees with her.
They get home, and Zola walks upstairs to clean herself up, passing Mindy who nodded towards her.
"The house plans my sire?"
"Yes. Just have someone get some grilled cheese and tomato soup going" Klaus states, looking upstairs concerned.
--------------
"I think we should open up this wall. It's dark in here" Zola says to Mindy and Klaus pointing to the wall across from them.
"Of course compel the men to open up this wall. We need sun. I want a fortress not a dungeon."
Zola laughs out "Ironic coming from you"
"You know what, love? It looks like you are in a better mood" Klaus looks behind Zola "Here he is, man of the hour!"
Zola turns around to see Tyler walking in
"Hey Zola."
Zola nods in greeting, grabbing a book on a nearby table and looking through the construction plans.
"So everything went okay?"
"Tony ran down Alaric instead of Jeremy, but apples, oranges, message landed the same."
"Umm excuse you?!" Zola jumps up
Everyone in the room went silent and froze.
"My father got hurt and you didn't think to tell me that. Are you nuts or just plain stupid?" Zola yells at Klaus who looks like he would rather be dead than there.
"Love, I.."
"I, what? Let me guess, you're sorry right? That's what you were going to say"
"Well didn't ALaric tried to like take you away against your will? Why are you upset?" Tyler asks
Zola throws her book at Tyler, hitting him straight in the head "He is still my father you idiot! And you" Zola grabs the first thing that was next to her and throws it at Klaus. Sad to say it was a hammer.
But before it can hit him, Elijah grabs it "Elskan, I think we have talked about talking your problems out before violence, did we not?"
Zola huffs out "That was supposed to hit him Lijah"
Elijah looks at her sternly and puts the hammer down "Come on Astin, I'll bring you so you can check up on him"
Zola walks past them, making sure to glare at Klaus the whole way out.
Getting to the Gilbert house, she sighs "This was a mistake. He wouldn't want to see me. Let's go"
Zola grabs Elijah's hand and goes to pull him back into the car but they hear a door open and close "Zola?" Jenna calls out
Zola turns around and smile at her "Hi Jenna"
"What are you doing here?"
"I just hear what happened and I came to see if he was okay"
"You didn't even knock on the door before you walked away"
"Yeah I know I just" Zola shrugged, and Jenna nods "I know I am somewhat new to all this but what I do know is how much Alaric loves you. He is trying to leave you to do you but you'll always be his little girl, you know that right?"
Zola laughs, crying a little "Yeah i know just umm let me know how he is. If you need anything, well he has my number to call me"
Jenna nods and off Zola and Eijah went, going back home.
------------------------
Having stopped somewhere to eat, Zola and Elijah get home to see Klaus by the fireplace and a coffin. He turns around to see Zola and Elijah walking into the room.
"Is that Bekah?" Zola whispered going to the coffin
"Yes. You're back to talking to me now?"
"Stop being a whiny baby, will you? You hurt my father. We might not be close at the moment but he is still my father you dibshit" Zola muttered, opening up the coffin and smiling softly at the body in front of her.
"Don't undagger her just yet, love. I need the other coffins first before that" Klaus whispered, closing Rebekah's coffin.
"But why?"
"They are using our family as a weapon against me. But don't worry, once I get all of them, I'll undagger them all"
Zola nods, and starts to walk away.
"I'm sorry" Klaus whispered but Zola heard him.
She sighs "I'm not mad at you, But I did wish that hammer hit you you know"
Elijah and Klaus laughed.
Zola continues to walk but instead walks outside. She needed some air.
Outside, she rested against the pillar.
That vision or whatever that was earlier, really scared her. Hopefully whatever Elijah found can help her.
She feels a slight breeze against her neck and turns around quickly to see Stefan.
"Stefan?"
"Sorry Zola, but he won't listen to me without leverage which means I need you" Stefan states, walking closer to her. Zola shakes her head.
Zola goes to scream but Stefan grabs the side of her head and hits her head into the pillar, leaving a dent and a trickle of blood. She falls to the floor.
"Klaus needs to leave. No matter the cost"

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan
