《Park Jimin's Roommate || Park Jimin fanfic》1. First Meeting

The day was dark and rainy. You sat by the window wrapped in your favorite blanket and watched the rain. Doing that relaxed you, so you loved it when it rains.
This time it was raining more than usual, the water droplets were heavy and coming down fast; and this time the rain wasn't what had your attention. A boy that was standing outside the rain, is what- no who, had your attention.
He looked depressed and standing in the rain comforted him. You hesitated to go outside and ask him what's wrong. You paced back and forth, reaching for the door knob. "No, it's none of my business." You said to yourself as you pulled your hand back. "But he could get sick if he stays out there any longer." You said again and put your hand on the door knob.
Finally you made up your mind, you put on your shoes and grabbed an umbrella. You walked over to him and now you two were under the umbrella together. "Is everything alright?" You asked him.
He nodded his head and forced a smile. "Everything is Fine." He said, but you didn't buy it.
"Um, your clothes are soaked, Why don't you come inside to warm up a bit?" You invited him in and he looked at you confused.
"You know it's not safe to ask a stranger to go inside your house." He said.
You sighed and extended your hand. "My name is Kim (y/n)." You introduced yourself.
He took your hand and said, "I'm Park Jimin."
"Well Jimin now that we're acquaintances, is it safe for you to come inside?" You asked.
He hesitated. "Why are you doing this?" He asked.
"I'm just trying to help, and I don't want you to get sick." You said as you looked down. "I promise I won't do anything to you." You said again.

"I should be the one promising that." Jimin said and you looked up at him. "But I don't want to get the inside of your house all wet."
"It's ok, I'll let you borrow some of my brother's clothes." You said.
"I don't want to trouble you."
"It won't be much of a trouble." You said as you took his hand and pulled him inside the house.
You went up to your brother's room and grabbed some clothes for Jimin. You gave it to him and showed him to the bathroom so that he could take a warm shower.
While he was showering you put water to boil so that you can make him coffee to warm him up more. As you finished making his coffee, Jimin walked into the kitchen with one of your brother's sweatshirt.
Compared to you Jimin is tall, but he looks so small in your brother's sweatshirt. You smiled at the thought. You placed the coffee cup in front of him as he sat down at the table.
He thanked you and you nodded your head. It was quiet between you two. You wanted to break the silence, but you didn't know what to say.
"(Y/n)?" Jimin called you. You looked up at him and hummed in response. "Thank you for doing this." He said as he looked down at his hands.
"It was nothing." You said and he looked up at you.
"No, I'm serious, I don't know what I would've done if you just left me out there." He said.
You can hear the pain in his voice as he talked. "Jimin, what happened? I understand if you don't want to tell me." You said reassuring.
Jimin smiled at you and you saw all the pain that it was hiding. "It's stupid." He said.

"After we think about things over and over again, we think they're stupid; when we didn't have the right mindset to think about our actions in that moment." You said.
"Ok, I'll tell you, and I want to know what you would've done." Jimin said softly. "Today was mine and my girlfriend's anniversary, and recently I've been busy; but I always made time for her. Since it was our anniversary, I wanted to surprise her; but when I got home she was in another man's arms." He explained what happened.
"Honestly, I think she's stupid for choosing someone else over you, but what I would've done is probably break down crying and run away. Though, I really want to say I would punch both of them in the face and kick them out of my house, but I know that would be a lie." You said and Jimin chuckled at your response. "Wait, were you two living together." You asked him and he nodded his head.
"I'll go find somewhere to stay." He said and stood up. "Thank you for helping me." He said.
"W-Wait Jimin, I know this might sound creepy, but why don't you stay here till you find a place for you to stay?" You asked him and looked down at you hands.
"No, I think I already caused enough trouble for you." Jimin said.
"Please? It's still raining, and I don't want you to get sick." You said.
He sighed. "I don't think your brother would be fine with this." He said.
"My oldest brother is a residence at Seoul Hospital, my second brother moved to the states, and my third brother moved to Seoul as well." You said. "So, I don't think they would care."
"It's still not safe." Jimin said.
"If it makes you comfortable, I'll lock my door when I go to sleep." You said. "Please? Just at least for tonight."
"Fine." He said and you smiled.
You showed him to one of your brothers' room. "You can sleep in here." You said. "My room is across the hall, just knock on my door if you need anything." You said and he nodded his head. "Goodnight Jimin." You said and went to your room.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! Most of my motivation for the story will come from my experiences so despite this being a mainly Asia industry I hope cultural gaps don’t come in the way of readers enjoying my story. I love manga and anime and recently started reading web novels so I was inspired to write my own. Comments are greatly appreciated, thanks and enjoy the story.
