《Say I do》chapter 24: a little bit of Liam

I regretted a lot of things in my life. For example, letting Adrian borrow my house keys and never returning it. Accidentally standing on a cat's tail and seeing murder in it's eyes. Agreeing to Liam's propasal and never having the chance to eat those expensive food.
But hiding under someones bed while they are about to get it on was beyond regret.
I never thought my life would come to an end like this. Forget my life, it's Liam who's about to lose his.
I wouldn't be in this mess in the first place if it wasn't for Liam leaving me 'accidentally' while I was in the bathroom at his friends house.
I mean, who the heck forgets their wife? Forgetting a child is understandable cause being a parent is hard but being a spouse ain't.
I cursed every word under the sun at Liam. I hope he chokes on water.
"Babe" Alison mumbled.
Oh holy potato. Please no. God please no. Don't ruin the last bit of innocence I have left in me.
My heart began to race.
"I'm getting in the shower first okay?". I watched her dress fall on the floor and her legs carried her towards the bathroom.
My prayers were heard and I sighed in relief.
My phone flashed and Liam's name appeared on the screen.
When is technology going to allow you to transport to another place and strangle the person?
I furiously texted back.
It wasn't long until my phone flashed.
I held myself back from cursing out load. Remind me again to never agree to go anywhere with Liam.
I patiently waited, checking the time every few minutes. 1 minute then 2 then 5 then 10 had passed and no sign of Liam. That husband of mine is really about to become ex.
I texted him.
I was about to explode.
After a few seconds Liam replied with a picture of him with a bag full of food. He had an ice cream shoved in his mouth.
I bit my lip.
I grinned at the thought of Liam buying me food. Maybe he was sorry for leaving me.
I take it back. The man has no remorse whatsoever
I sighed and leaned my head on my arm. I was starving at the thought of food. Tyler and Alison were nice people but their tiny proportion of rich people food wasn't enough to fill me up. Besides, I have a food baby to feed.
It wasn't long until Alison came out and panic washed over me.
"You done baby?" Tyler asked as I could feel him moving in bed.
"Yeah" Alison mumbled. I watched her feet move and the lights suddenly turned off.

Oh crap. Everyone knows when the lights go out so does your virginity.
I felt the bed move as Alison got in. They both began to giggle and I began crying in french. I was taught it for 7 years yet I new nothing except bonjour.
I pressed my hands against my ears, blocking out their voices. Couldn't they just plan baby making another day?
A loud laugh escaped Alison's mouth and I hit my head against the bed in surprise. I pressed my lips together to stop myself from crying out loud. Why did it have to hurt enough but not enough to knock me out.
"Did you hear that?" Alison suddenly mumbled.
Crap.
"No, What?" Tyler replied and they both fell silent. The silent continued and I was beginning to get worried. Don't tell me- there's an actual ghost in here besides me.
A sudden noise filled my ear and a loud scream escaped my mouth. I slammed by hands over my mouth a moment after. Luckily Alison and Tyler screamed at the same time as me so my voice was drowned.
"W-What was?" Alison stuttered.
Yeah what was that.
"Someone knocked on the door" Tyler calmly spoke.
I was on the verge of crying because I was terrified at the thought of ghosts and murderers. I did not sign up for this.
"Tyler?!" A familiar voice called. Relief washed over me and I never felt more happy to hear Liam's voice.
"Its Liam" Tyler said before he walked out of the room with Alison following behind.
I quickly took the chance to sneak out and follow behind them. I tiptoed downstairs whilst Liam distracted Tyler and Alison.
"Uh I- need sanitary pads for Adeline" Liam uttered, scratching the back of his head.
Wait-What? Why am I always the excuse.
"Ah, yeah it's pretty late so shops must be closed. I'll get some from upstairs" Alison said as she spun around. I quickly hid under the stairs as she ran up.
"Can you get me a glass of water please?" Liam asked, faking a cough. Tyler nodded and walked towards the kitchen. I took the opportunity to sprint towards Liam and ran straight into him smacking my forehead against his.
"Ow- what the fuck?!"he screeched, holding his head.
"You idiot!" I hissed "how could you leave me?!"
Liam let out a small chuckle "it was an accident"
Accident my butt. Before I had a chance to knock him out Alison and Tyler came out and I had to sprint out before they caught me.
I slipped into the car and sighed in relief. I'm traumatised.
It wasn't long until Liam turned up. He the threw the pads at me and looked at me horrified.

"You shove this up your thing?" He asked, holding a tampon.
I burst out laughing and snatch it out of his hands. "No" I replied "we use it for nose bleeds"
For a moment he actually believed me. His face went blank and I laughed so hard that I almost peed myself.
"Women are odd" he mumbled, scratching his head as we began to head back to our place.
I raise my eyebrows at him.
"You clearly had plenty of experiences to know that" I huff. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was just a little bit of jealous.
Liam glanced at me and his lips curved into a smirk. "You could say that"
I snort. He doesn't even try to deny it to make me feel better.
"How many relationships have you been in?" I asked, curiously.
His expression changed slightly. "A few"
I bit my lip. "Ever been in love with Any?"
His words still lingered in my mind. 'Don't fall in love with me' he said. 'I kinda accidentally did' I thought.
Liam didn't responsed and instead stopped the car. He took his seatbelt off and got out of the car. "Get out"
Holy cheestos, maybe I shouldn't have said that if I knew he was about to kick me out.
"I-" I was cut off when I realised where we were. The breath taking view of the beach in the night had me blow away.
"Whooooooaaa" I gasped "talk about being romantic"
He laughed. "Am I forgiven?"
I bit my lip. His cheesy smile made my heart flutter and washed away my anger with the waves of water. Deep.
As the ocean.
I need to stop.
"Only if you give me a piggyback ride" I said, grinning ear to ear. I'm just excited to feel that strong back.
"Deal" he agreed. He turned around and I jumped, wrapping myself around him. I pressed myself against him and took the opportunity to exploit this handsome man.
"I can feel your breasts" Liam mumbled.
"Didn't you say they were too small once?" I snort.
He chuckled. "Do you hold onto every word?"
"Nope" I said "only yours"
We both laughed and I quitely listened to his as he began to walk towards the beach. I explored every part of him. His ears, to hairs, nose, lips and eyes. Everything was so God made, perfection.
While he stared at the waves crashing onto the ground, I stared at him.
"I love the beach" he mumbled.
"I love you" I blurt, distracted.
"What?" He asked.
Reality suddenly hit me. "What?"
"You just said-"
"I love the beach too" I quickly said, cutting him off. He just nodded slowly.
Jesus Adeline, focus on the beach not on this piece of little sh- glitter. I need help.
My gaze finally landed on the beach and a smile crept up my lips. My heart felt so warm and fuzzy whilst being here with Liam. Why couldn't it be like this?
I swallowed a lump that formed in my throat. I shook the thought out of my mind before I fall deeper into them. Just a year.
"Yes" Liam suddenly replied "to your answer- yes I've been in love once"
I sucked in a breath of air.
"Is that- why you don't do love?" I asked.
He hesitated for a moment. "Yeah" hd replied "We both went our separate ways with mutual feelings. I fell out of love and so did she"
The lump in my throat grew.
"I realised it's was so easy for us to fall out of love so quickly when it took so long to fall in love. I don't do love because I'll fall out of it"
Part of me died slightly. I choked back my tears
"What was she like?" I asked "the girl you loved?"
Liam chuckled. "As a wife, you're actually calm whilst listening about your husbands ex"
I snort. I ain't calm. Just curious.
"Nothing like you" he blurted and I felt a sudden heart skip.
"What does that mean?" I frowned. I can't tell if it's a compliment or not.
"She was serious- almost like me. You on the other hand- crazy. You talk back to me, physically fight me, challenge me, mess up my thoughts. You..."
His words trailed off as his eyes met mine. They flashed down to my lips and back at my eyes again. He leaned forward and kissed me. I froze and so did my brain. I didn't know how to respond. My heart rate was shooting up to the sky and my cheeks flushed red.
I suddenly felt my body being shuffled and Liam breaking the kiss and putting me down. He spun around and picked me up again.
His lips smacked against mine and I felt his hand finding mine. His fingers interwined with mine for a moment but his hand then crawled away and landed somewhere they shouldn't. Oh boy.
"Uh Liam" I mumbled in between the kiss.
"That's my breast. Not my hand"
