"Are you sure you're pregnant?" He asked, staring at me with a deeply disturbed expression.
I snort. "Yeah, why?"
His mouth parted slightly, giving me the most horrified expression ever. "That's a beer can you're trying to open"
I paused and looked at the can before back at Jase and then back at the can.
Dang it. I thought I could fool this guy better than Liam and sneak a few gulps down to drown my sorrow over my husband's busy schedules at work.
I sigh and place the can down. "The truth is I-"
"Have pregnancy brain" Jase continued after cutting my sentence off. I mean, if you wanna call it that we just call it that.
"Yeah exactly. I'll just drink this fizzy drink" I said, pretending like I had another pregnancy moment and try to open the can as quickly as possible. My moment was sadly snatched away by Jase.
"Liam will dig me out of my grave and kill me all over again if he found this out" he said sternly.
I sigh in disappointment, leaning back and sadly chewing on popcorn that would have tasted better with beer. I'm not even legally allowed to drink. Who am I trying to kid
We sat in silence, continuing to watch some random movie Jase picked out. Sadly Liam was at work and it's been like that for the past 2 days. The man barely comes home to have a shower nevermind to see me. Sigh
"I'm hungry" Jase moans, throwing his head back, looking at me with pleading eyes. Who does this boy think he is. I don't even make cereal for Liam
"Do I look like your maid?" I asked "go make it yourself"
He sighs. "Fine"
I grin, watching him stumble out of the living room whilst sulking. My stomach suddenly sent off telling me that my baby- food baby was hungry.
Well he's making food. I should be there for a taster.
"I'll come with you for support" I chirped, running behind Jase. We all need support when it comes to making food.
He snorts. "Support? Is that your way of eating half of my food?"
I glared at him, sitting on the counter chair and watching him rampage through the cupboards. "How dare you" I say, hurt "Don't accuse of me such truth"
Jase chuckled. "My apologies" he said with sarcasm and an eye roll.
This guy has grown some nerves to roll his eyes at me. I continue to watch him go through the 100 of cupboard in the kitchen.
"Hey don't you dare touch that one!" I hiss as his hand hovers over my cupboard that contains all the stolen food I took from Liam' s. Nobody touches my baby.
Jase rolled his eyes at me before going into other cupboards and bringing out ingredients for God knows what.
"Flour?" I ask, poking my fingers into the bowl he has already emptied into. Jase slaps my hand.
"Dont touch" he growls.
I frown and pout as I watch him do some next level baking. All I knew is that I was getting some cause boy he was cooking like it was for the whole neighbourhood.

I was beginning to doze off, waiting for him to get to a point that I actually understood. It wasn't long until I felt my eyelids drooping down.
Just when my eyes closed fully I felt something hit my face causing me snap back awake. I stared at Jase, confused and startled as he looked at me.
He burst into a fit of laughters, sliding his hand over my cheeks. I was literally so out of it until I notice flour all over his hands.
"That should keep you awake" he said, chuckling.
Why you little sh-
I shoved my hand into the bowl of flour before throwing it at Jase causing it all the cover him from head to toe. I laughed at his priceless reaction. He wasn't expecting it.
"That should help you to stop making nonsense" I mimicked his voice.
His head hung down slightly and his eyes looked up showing pure rebellion. I could almost see Liam in him. They ain't called brothers for no reason
Uh oh.
"This is war" he grunted and before I knew it I began to scream, running around and ducking down while he threw whatever he had near him.
First it was an egg, then it was a whisk and then then it lead to a whole bowl full of mixed ingredients. I managed to duck just enough to get it on part of my clothes.
I never thought a fun game would end up being murder. Jase wasn't a joke. This guy to this game to a whole new level as he began to take out pans from draws.
"Are you crazy?" I shrieked, snapping it out of his hand.
"Uh- too far?" He chuckles.
Nah.
"Oh no" I laugh "throwing a God damn pan at a pregnant woman isn't beyond crazy"
His face suddenly dropped when he realised what he had done. "Shit" he mumbled.
I couldn't help but feel a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny guilt for this lie but I wasn't ready to die.
"Sorry" Jase apologises, searching his head "in return. I'll clean it up"
I watch him walk over to the other side and begin picking up the mess on he floor. My eyes suddenly caught a single egg on the counter and mischief in me came out.
I picked it up, slowly tiptoeing towards Jase and preparing my arm to throw the final blow.
My arm raised up, shooting the egg towards Jase only for it to go completely wrong and hid the wrong person
Liam.
Oh Lord.
I am dead.
"L-Liam" I stuttered, shocked and mortified at his dead facial expression. The egg hit directly on his chest, covering his shirt and splattering slightly over his face.
My stutter was the que for Jase to slip behind the counter to avoid Liam. Holy cow, talk about timing.
Liam stared down at his shirt for a moment before they turned up to look at me. A sinister aura lingered around him.
"Run" he growled.
Within a second, he had already caught me, wrapping his arms around me as my back pressed against him.
He smeered the egg from his shirt all over my face as I quirmed against his grip.

I never regretted something more than now.
"Liam!" I cried, laughing whilst he continued to run his fingers in my hair.
"Did you seriously think you'd get away with doing this?" Liam hissed, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"It was an accident" I moaned, shoving him away and low key crying over my hair filled with egg.
Liam smirked, leaning back on counter. He looked around the whole kitchen with his mouth slightly apart.
"What the fuck have you done to my kitchen ?" He grunted.
I smile awkwardly. "C-cook you something nice?"
He snorts. "Or poison me"
I laugh nervously, shifting in my postion and looking back to make sure Jase was nowhere to be seen. Liam always had his timing wrong.
Liam sighed. He shook his head, as an annoyed expression appeared on his face. He walks towards me, causing me to step back and hit the kitchen counter. He leaned forwards, placing both his hands on the counter, blocking me in between.
"You made a complete mess of our house" he grunted "You should be punished"
I blinked a few times until it sunk in and my cheeks flushed red at horrid thoughts.
Liam's stared at me for a moment, confused to why I was probably turning red and trying to stop myself my cracking into a smile because I was dying of embarrassment. His expression suddenly changed and his lips curved into a smirk.
"You naughty girl" he said in a raspy voice "You thought of something dirty didn't you?"
I screamed mentally ready to dig myself a hole and lay in it. How could I possibly have PG18 thoughts at a moment like this.
"N-no!" I exclaimed, stuttering. I was horrified that I got caught- and Jase was hearing it all.
Liam chuckled, leaning forward so that his lips were close to my ear. "You're a terrible liar" he whispered.
I blushed even more, spinning my head back to the side to hide myself away from this embarrassment. I silently sulked for a moment only to see a Jase's shoulder and leg on obvious display even though he was hiding behind the other counter. My eyes widen in horror and I snap my head to Liam.
"I-"
"What was it?" Liam asked cutting me off "what were you thinking about?"
Oh Lord this isn't the time to be talking about my PG18 thoughts.
"I-I wasn't" I stuttered, breathing slightly faster because 1. Liam was too close and stealing my oxygen away. 2. He just makes me out of breath by his appearance. 3. Jase could be easily seen my Liam in the corner of his eyes if he concentrated.
How do I get myself out of this mess.
"Really?" Liam asked, slightly upset. He looked down at shirt before slightly pulling it to reveal abit of his chest.
"Will this help to you?" He teased, biting his lip to stop himself from laughing at my horrified expression.
"Are you trying to tempt me?" I laugh.
He chuckles "is it working?"
"No!" I exclaim, embrasssed as I hide my face.
Liam laughed as he pulled my hands down forcing me to stare at him. His eyes stared at mine and I began to watch him lean forward.
I felt a smile creep up against my lips as I felt my heart beat fast against my chest. Just when Liam was about to kiss me a sudden noise came from near us.
Liam stopped, his eyebrows furrowing as his head began to spin towards Jase's direction. My mind went blank and my body reflex kicked it, causing my hands to press against his chest and push him as far away from me as I can.
"No!" I yelled without thinking.
It took me a moment to realise what I did.
"I-" I lost all words when I saw the expression on Liam's face.
I felt my heart squeeze at the sight of him.
What did I just do?
In an attempt to stop him turn around, I pushed him away from me forefully and yelled like I was saying no to him. I hurt him.
"I-"
"Its fine" Liam said, cutting me off "I get it". His mood and voice changed. The way he looked at me like he didn't know me anymore.
I shook my head. "No I didn't mean
-"
"This isn't going to work out" Liam said, cutting me off. He didn't allow me to speak.
His face refused to show me any emotions as he spoke.
I held back my emotions as I watch him become emotionless towards me. Like everything he had ever felt disappear along with those words.
I opened my mouth to speak only to be cut off by the doorbell. Liam doesn't hesitate for a moment and walks out to answer the door.
I couldn't let end like this.
"Liam" I call after him, repeating his name over and over again as I prepare to explain myself even if it meant revealing Jase. I couldn't get Liam's hurt expression out of my mind. I couldn't allow him to think I didn't want him. I couldn't allow him to think I didn't want us.
Liam ignored me as he gripped the door handle before pulling it open.
My eyes looked at horror as his father stood in front of us, angry. Why? Why was he here now? Why now?
Liam's father looked at both Liam and I. He seemed to think for a minute as we stood without speaking a word. His eyes then landed on me. He opened his mouth, saying the words the ruined it all.
Where is Jase?"

Trickster's Tale
Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes. Due to a goddess's shortsighted error, Perry finds himself transported to a distant Universe with new proportions and a different identity. Instead of cowering before the deity, he demands she opens a portal home or provides reparations for him and his bereaved family. Unfortunately, standing up for himself doesn't earn Perry respect. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.
