《With You |COMPLETED》Chapter Five | how to get Kyla Richards to hate you

"What else is there to do?" Xavier chuckled to me. He was being, how do you say...unpleasant.
School ended a couple minutes ago and I was waiting by Xavier's car for Damien. I wasn't the only one waiting, I had sent my two goofballs a text and Damien texted his friends.
"Okay, I'm confused. I thought you wanted nothing to do with him." Emily spoke out, leaning against the hood of Xavier's BMW. Alex nodded in agreement, getting a slap on the arm from Ashley. I still didn't know if I wanted anything to do with him, but I was hoping this would help me decide. I thought this would be easy, making a plan for tonight, but it wasn't.
It was harder then dismantling a bomb.
Xavier hates everything, while Alex loves everything. Emily is thinking of the beach, but it was going to be dark by the time we get there. Ashley was as chipper as could be, but didn't give any opinions.
Damien still hasn't arrived yet, but I assumed he got caught smoking inside or something stupid.
"I just thought it would be fun. Go to the beach at night, have some alcoholic beverages. It would be a good time! Plus we could spend the night."
"Alcoholic beverages, why those words." Xavier chuckled, his hand covering his mouth.
"Leave me be!" Emily whined, causing Xavier let out a few more chuckles. Alex and Ashley seemed pleased with the idea and even Xavier kind of agreed, but who knows with him. "Alright, Okay, fine." I agreed, watching everyone finally cheer. I have never been to a beach, it wasn't something I had the opportunity to see.
I was probably going to regret this.
Although, I'd rather regret things then say I never tried.
A small smile formed on my face as I shook my head, letting out small laughs. Emily started passing around her phone as well as I. "We will meet at my house in thirty minutes, okay?" I asked, watching everyone nod.
Xavier ruffled my hair as he passed my phone back. "I'm not a pet!" I laughed, slapping his arms away.
"This will be something." He mumbled, watching me nod. I think he was just as unsure about this as I was. His group wasn't supposed to entangle with other, it was strange to be in this position now.
"Oh shit," Ashley breathed out. We all looked over to the start of the parking lot, my eyes watching the scene that was about to play out. I wanted to laugh but I didn't, sadly.
Damien was across the parking lot and he was mad, his face was scrunched up in an annoyance, while his jaw was locked shut.
I squinted slightly to see a dark haired girl trailing after him. "Damien, baby!" She called, her long legs taking the smallest steps possible in her six Inch heels. She was dressed in a hot pink mini skirt and a black tank top, her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail. She was beautiful, but her voice killed it. It was high and scratchy with a small accent hidden within it all.
When Damien got close to me he finally turned around to the girl. "Please Kyla, leave me alone," his voice was demanding, causing her to pout her bottom lip out and cross her arms like a child.
I was almost relieved I wasn't a part of any drama. It was nice to be a full chameleon here or at least as chameleon as it could get.

Damien's eyes met mine and I saw a light bulb flicker on in his head. He gave me a strange face before slowly walking to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. I heard Xavier snicker and I almost wanted to, too. I was just so shocked and befuddled, I don't even know what to do at this point. I was frozen in fear of Kyla and the way his hand warmed my entire back.
So much for chameleon...
"You're joking right?" Kyla's sickening laugh rang out. Her voice made me wince, but I quickly covered it up. "No one would date her, especially you," She sneered, a proud smirk on her face.
Ouch, I wasn't even ugly.
I knew I wasn't, trust me. I have a mother that tells me every day.
"Watch what you say, Kyla," Damien snapped, taking her off guard. She fake sniffled and hid her face, making Damien heavily sigh and look down at me. I didn't realize that I wasn't the only one having an off day, He was too. He looked like he got hit by a truck and I mean that in the nicest way possible. His beautiful green eyes were tired and almost broken looking.
"I just want to get back together again baby!" Kyla cried, making sure to get as many people's attention as possible.
I turned to my friends, noticing they both had their phones out. I gave them an 'are you kidding me look', which only caused the boys to laugh.
Damien's face twisted up in disgust and he shook his head, "We were never togeth-Please for the love of god, just learn to let people go." Kyla watched me, her body moving closer until she was almost inches from my face, "you'll regret this Thea," She hissed. I let out a small laugh before answering as casual as possible, "I bet I will."
My body turned with Damien back to the group, leaving Kyla to watch before storming off. I thought I was going to be freaking out, screaming and crying In the trunk of Damien's car, but I was far from that right now. I was in a good mood again and no one was going to ruin that for me.
I moved out of Damien's grasp when she disappeared, going back to my spot on the car hood. "Okay, so what's the plan?" Damien questioned, his eyes directing for me to speak. A smile fell on my lips as I looked at my friends who were filled with joy, "The beach, music, drinks-"
"Booze!" Alex cheered making us laugh.
"Blankets, and food," Ashley called out, making my smile only widen. "I have no reason to say no," Damien smirked, getting a small yes from Xavier. "Looks like we all better get ready." Emily smiled, her body moving from the car. I hopped off the hood as well, my body finding its way beside Damien.
"So no one's gonna bring up the Kyla thing?" Alex blurted out, getting a glare from Damien. Xavier slowly covered Alex's mouth with his hand, "I'm so sorry about my child, he doesn't know when to shut up." He explained, his words getting more aggressive toward Alex when he finished.
I wasn't going to bring it up and I sure wasn't going to worry about it till I had to.
Procrastination is key.
Damien gave Alex a glare that shut him up while I grabbed my backpack.
I didn't know exactly how to answer, and I didn't want to worry about it tonight. Plus what could she do that my old school hasn't?

Nothing.
My body found its way beside Damien and I watched everyone with a big smile, "I'll pack food." Everyone nodded, talking amongst themselves about who was bringing what.
"Are you ready for all this?" Damien, looked down at me as we walked to his car. "I don't know," I mumbled. Did I really want to get on Kyla's bad side or have Damien as a friend?
I gave him the directions to my house as we got in. My house wasn't too far away from the high school, probably a five-minute drive.
My body leaning back in the seat trying to calm down, I was nervous, but for the first time, I wasn't sweating. It wasn't the horrified type of nervous but more of an excited nervous. "I've never been to a beach," I mumbled, watching Damien's eyes widened as he looked at the road. "Wow, well, today is your lucky day isn't it," He chuckled out, glancing from the road then to me.
"My day is far from lucky," I murmured out. He shook his head at my answer, a thin smile on his face. He focused more on the road, giving me time to glance over his body. His tattoos alone were a sight to see, but it fit him. If we were close enough I would've asked what they meant, but we were far from close.
He pulled into the driveway and I hopped out, giving my car a small kiss out of love before running to the door. I could hear Damien chuckling at my excitement but I didn't care. My fingers unlocked the door before I held it open, letting him in.
"Honey is that yo-" my mom stopped talking causing me to freeze while shutting the door. Damien froze too, his head glancing to me with wide eyes. I almost hit him because his lips were tugging up into a smile like he was about to laugh.
My head slowly turned to my mom and I almost died. Her smile was wider than ever and I could see the embarrassment coming. "Hi mom," I spoke out slowly, watching her body almost bounce in excitement.
I have never brought a boy home, let alone known a boy besides my brother. I was beyond petrified at her excitement and Damien was enjoying every bit of this moment.
"This is Damien..." I gestured to his body, watching him smile and politely wave to her.
Oh god
Oh, here it comes.
"It's so nice to meet you! I'm Ms. Evens but you can call me Anne," she gave me a wink and I almost wanted to hide. My cheeks were burning and she was enjoying this more than she should be.
"It's nice to meet you too, Ms. Evens." He said quietly, his smile never leaving. "I can tell I'm going to like you." She whispered to him, "You two have fun, but not to much fun." She winked at the both of us and I shook my head. She was about to leave for work again, her arms were filled with bags of papers and contracts.
My mother's body started down the hallway to the garage but Damien stopped her. "A couple friends and I were going to go to the beach. I was wondering if Thea and her friends could join if that's alright," Damien spoke out. I wanted to cover everyone's mouth with duck tape at this point.
My mom turned to look at me as I was burning up before turning to an awkwardly polite Damien. I wanted to ask him where the real Damien went but I didn't. "I don't see why I would have a problem." She said sweetly, causing me to shake my head in shock. Her body turned to leave again, leaving us both dumbfounded in the entrance.
When the door shut Damien turned to me with a small smile, "you better start packing a bag, Little Flower." My eyes widened in excitement, "go throw food in an ice chest!" I called, running upstairs to my room as quickly as possible. I hate to admit it, but the nickname was rubbing off on me.
Am I still going to cringe every time he says it? oh yeah, every time.
I threw a change of clothes in the bag, along with a towel and headphones. I bought a Polaroid last year and I've never had a chance to use it until now. I gently placed it into the bag with a small smile. Tonight was going to be better then that party, tonight was going to be a night I could actually enjoy.
I changed into a swimsuit, wearing shorts and a crop top over it.
"They're here," Damien called behind me almost making me jump out of my own skin.
How long was he standing there...
I tensed up slightly but nodded, closing my bag. When I turned around his body was still extremely close forcing me to look up at him with a raised eyebrow. His eyes were closely watching me as I felt his hand entangle with mine making me freeze.
"Am I interrupting something important?" Ashley asked quietly making Damien rip his hand away from mine. My mouth was slightly slacked open because of him but I snapped out of it. I grabbed my bag, pushing past Him, "No, nothing important." I spoke almost harshly. I watched Damien out of the corner of my eye, he had a stone cold expression like always. Ashley gave me a concerned look but I shook it off, grabbing her hand and running down the stairs.
Downstairs I was greeted with smiling faces. "We need a driving plan," Alex was leaning against the wall while Xavier sat on the cooler Damien had packed. I heard footsteps come down the stairs behind me, knowing Damien had found his way back to the group.
"Who has the biggest cars?" Emily spoke out from her spot on the couch, I almost didn't know she was there until her foot flicked up.
I saw Damien and Xavier hold their hands up, making me almost sigh in disappointment. Was it bad I wanted to be with just my friends?
"Alright, so we will split up, just go to whatever car you want." Xavier smiled, throwing a towel over his shoulder. Emily got up from the couch in excitement.
"Let's get going." I chirped, watching everyone break into talking and laughter. I couldn't help but smile, everyone looked happy. I felt awkward because I've never gone out with friends before.
I've never had friends before.
"You coming?" Damien questioned, snapping me out of my thought. Everyone was almost out of the house as I got down the last couple steps of the stairs.
I smiled at the sight in front of me. Ashley was swinging her towel at Xavier who was screaming while Emily ran outside, trying not get hit. I couldn't help the laugh that fell out of my mouth.
Maybe, I wouldn't regret this.
