"Thea mix me my mash potatoes!" Ashley called, her body doing a weird squat thing with her arms held up. I stared at her eyes wide before making my hand go faster into the bowl.
Xavier let out a few chuckles, trying to take the turkey out of the oven.
Yeah, he came because of my mom and his dad. Also because I didn't want to fight with him forever, especially on thanksgiving.
It smelt like heaven in this house and I intend to keep the peace.
Alex was still attempting to work the biscuits out of the pan. They were hot still and I don't think he knows you can just flip them over and they'll fall out. I also think no one wanted to tell him because it was hilarious to watch him with try and pick them up.
Sweet right.
Everything else was on the table, the sweet potatoes, the gravy, the green beans, the deviled eggs (for some odd reason), and the cranberries.
"Alex for the love of life, tip the pan over." My mom called after hearing him hiss for the hundredth time.
Was it bad she was setting up the Christmas tree? I mean we were all excited for Christmas but my mother and I loved Christmas.
I loved the music, the snow, the lights, all of it.
"Okay mash potatas are ready!" I yelled, running into Xavier to get a bowl.
He gave me a genuine chuckled before helping me grab a bowl.
Ashley helped me pour the potatoes into the bowl before setting it onto the counter.
My mom invited Damien's family but I doubt they will come. It's hard to get his family together unless someone is dying. I haven't talk to Damien since the accident at school. He's texted me a few dumb photos of us but that's about it.
"Thea come sit down!" I heard Alex literally screech from the table making me bit my lip for a moment.
"Yeah just let me call Damien to see if he's coming." I said quietly, moving toward the front door. It didn't feel right without him here and I doubt his family was doing anything.

I was hoping outside would be less noise so I sprung my phone out and whipped open the door. I would drag him here if I had too.
But I didn't get to far outside before I ran into a wall of a person.
"How is it I feel like this happens a lot?" Damien mumbled, his arms wrapping around me to keep me steady as I slowly looked up from my phone.
"Well, it does. I was just about to call you," I smiled, getting a cocky one from him in response.
My eyes looked past him to see if his family came but it was just him. I didn't mind it one bit, I was just glad he was here and not alone for thanksgiving. Alone seemed to be his best friend lately.
"So can I come in?" He chuckled making me jump away from him with a awkward laugh.
Haaa ha...
He found his way into the house and I shut the door behind us. I knew everyone would be excited that he came. They missed him, I missed him.
"My love!" Alex yelled, getting Xavier to look almost like he had been cheated on. He held his hand to his heart as Damien smirked, giving Alex a small wink before following me into the kitchen to see my mom.
"Oh you came!" My mom called getting a happy wave from Damien. It was cute to see him attempting.
What surprised me was the fact he was back into his old clothes. The usual black jeans, white v-neck and a black leather jacket. He looked the same with his dark hair messily tossed everywhere. It was something safe to see and it actually made me relax.
"You can check me out from the table too you know?" He chuckled, making me snap out of my thoughts with bright red cheeks.
I looked away at the ground then at Ashley who was leaning on the table watching us with her hand filled with a bite of mash potatoes. She smirked, wiggling her eyebrows at me before she took another messy bite. Thankfully Xavier smacked the potato out of her hand, telling her that she had to wait.

Damien and I made our way to the last to empty seats on the left side of the table. I was happy I got to sit beside him.
"Okay everyone go around and say a what you're thankful for. I'm thankful for you little bundles of terror and with that being said John and I are going to eat with his parents. Be safe, don't kill each other." My mom called, her arm reaching for her bag after she kissed each one of our heads.
I am thankful for my mom, she had a empty nest after everyone died and now it's like the nest is overly full. I'm thankful she likes the overly full nest. I'm thankful she doesn't hate me for making the nest feel emptier when I shut everyone out.
Everyone waved bye to my mom before Ashley perked up, her body moving to the edge of her seat in excitement. "I'm thankful we weeded out toxic people and became closer." She squealed making everyone let out a few laughs.
I agree. I'm thankful Emily left because Ashley has become my best friend. I'm thankful she didn't give up on me or turn on me either. I'm thankful she was always on my side because I've never had someone on my side before that wasn't my family. I'm thankful she enjoys doing my makeup and clothes more then I do.
Now, it was Xavier's turn. He looked at all of us and smiled. "I'm just thankful we all met. I never would've expected this and I'm grateful for all of it." Ashley let out a small sigh and lovingly grabbed his hand. Xavier let out a chuckle and wrapped his arm around her. She was probably going to cry by the end of this.
I was thankful for Xavier. He filled a role I needed in my life. He might not have been Cameron but he was like I had another brother. I was thankful he got through to me when I did dumb things. I loved him like I love my mom and that's saying a lot.
Xavier pointed to Alex who let out a giggle before turning to us. "I'm thankful someone knows how to cook out of the five of us." This caused a laughing fit to occur because he held up his red fingers making me almost choke on my water.
Alex did a lot for me, he stayed in my room till I fell asleep when I had night terrors. I was thankful he acted as my father figure that I never had after Cameron died. I'm thankful he payed attention to little details about me because no one else did. Not to mention he was gorgeous and taking photos with him always turned out perfect.
Great now it was my turn. I had no idea what to say. Not at all, I was thankful for everything.
"Well I'm thankful you guys accepted me when I first got here and how you guys tried so hard to make me feel like I was normal. I'm also thankful that Damien didn't die and he's okay." I mumbled, playing with my fork. I heard everyone agree and slowly a hand fell into my lap.
I slowly set my fork down and grabbed Damien's hand with a small smile. He always had a way of warming my entire body up. I played with his thumb as he rubbed my thigh.
"I'm thankful that you guys still accepted me even though I'm just having a bit of memory problems. I am also thankful I'm remembering stuff so I'm thankful for meeting Thea and attempting to annoy her into liking us." Xavier and Alex chuckled, leaning over the table to high five each other.
Damien let out a chuckle before he squeezed my hand, making me look at him. He turned to look at me with a small smile, making me almost melt on the spot.
"I'm also thankful I got to fall in love with you."
