《I'm Stuck! [The Umbrella Academy : Five Hargreeves X Reader]》Chapter Six

"As you all know, Miss Vanya was always deemed as ordinary by your father," started Pogo. [Name] immediately noticed Vanya wincing at the reminder, causing her to sit beside Vanya and holding her hand in reassurance. Vanya looked up at her with a little but thankful smile.
"But that is what he made you believe. You do have abilities, Miss Vanya," that was followed by shocked reactions from all of them. "It was the ability to manipulate sound waves. I unfortunately do not have much knowledge on this, only that I know Master wrote it on that book that seems to have gone missing," said Pogo with a pointed glance at Klaus who whistled innocently.
"But as a kid, you didn't have much control on this. It was too powerful for the young you to control that Master deemed it necessary that you forget you had it."
With this followed a shocked gasp from Allison, bolting up. "That's why.." she started as she glanced at Vanya.
"I remembered, when we were kids, dad asked me to rumor you into thinking you were ordinary," said Allison, almost sobbing.
"You knew all this time?" Asked Vanya in a slightly raised tone.
"No-no! I didn't! I promise, I didn't know. I was a kid, we were four, I didn't know why he told me that but I distinctly remember it because of how odd it was. I'm so sorry Vanya, if I had known.." said Allison with a pleading expression, sitting on the other side of Vanya causing the girl to stand up to give space for the siblings as they hugged each other. They whispered amongst themselves, [Name] hearing an apology coming from both of them but moving a little ways away to give them the privacy they need.
"But why would dad hide it? He couldn't tell me this when I was in my teens?" Vanya asked again, a desperate expression on her face. [Name] thought she must still be on pills, given how much better she had taken this information compared to that original timeline.
"I'm just putting my two cents in here, but you are quite frankly powerful, Vanya, and your dad didn't know what to do with it. You almost got him killed that one time you threw a tantrum as a kid, I guess you could say he got traumatized." Vanya's eyes widened upon hearing this. "But! Listen, okay, listen. That doesn't mean he should've kept it hidden from you, now because of this, things may go wrong and the apocalypse may happen."
She didn't know why, but she felt nervous, as if something would go wrong as a flash of red sky and smoke everywhere, feeling herself choke on it, appeared on her mind that disappeared as fast as it came. [Name] shook her head in confusion, thinking it might just be the scene where Five got to the future.

"And how does Vanya connect to all this, then?" Five asked, standing with crossed arms in front of her.
"That is.. well," she bit her lip as she debated if she should tell them what Vanya's role is throughout all this. "I think it's better for me not to say any of your roles. Because maybe if I didn't, it wouldn't be a fixed point that we wouldn't be able to change."
"And what is a fixed point?" Asked Five that surprised her, she would've thought one of the other siblings would ask her about it, but not Five.
"A fixed point is like, ehm, you know how we know that JFK is gonna get killed in the 1960s?" She snapped her fingers as she thought of the perfect scenario, the rest nodding while Five arched a brow. "That means, if we time traveled back there, we can't stop it from happening no matter how much we wish to because we know he died and if he didn't, then things may get worse. It's like the butterfly effect, but with the most well-known events in history. Ohh! Like Hitler." She added.
"What? But if we could go back in time, then we should stop JFK from getting killed!" Scoffed Diego.
[Name] rolled her eyes at this and sighed, "We can't. We will mess up the timeline and either create an alternate timeline that is more fcked up than the previous one, or we create a paradox, and possibly cause the universe to explode. Heck, it could even be like the grandfather paradox, where because you stopped him from being killed, he could've done something to stop you from getting born. Therefore causing you to never exist in the first place."
"What?" Was all he said causing [Name] to sigh in resignation.
"And how do you know all this?" Five asked with narrowed eyes.
"Oh you know? The internet, it's a great place to be."
"Where's the Internet? Sounds like a cool place," quipped Klaus.
"There's no internet here either?!" [Name] asked, jaw slackened in disbelief.
"No, I know about the different paradoxes, but where did this 'fixed point' come from?"
"Oh! That's.." she said with a finger lifted but then trailed off, frowning as she tried to think where she had read it. "I have no idea. I might've read it somewhere or something like that," she mused.
"But enough of that now!" She said, clapping with a huge smile. "Vanya should learn how to manage her powers, good thing I remember enough so we wouldn't really need that book. You just really need to stop with those pills because those stop your emotions and emotions are basically the way you control your powers." [Name] briefly explained.
"Very well, I shall be the one to teach Miss Vanya. I have watched your father enough to know what we shall do." Pogo volunteered, causing [Name] to smile happily at him.

Five frowned, feeling as if he's still missing a piece in this whole puzzle, suddenly bolting up as he unconsciously tapped the pocket on his chest, feeling the eyeball in it.
"Then what does this have to do with anything?" Asked Five, teleporting beside [Name] surprising her.
"Geez man, you should stop doing that. I might get a heart attack," she said while still holding her chest. But then she looked at the eyeball and then up at him.
"Well.." she drawled, biting her lip in thought.
"Don't you dare keep it to me now since everything is out in the open," he snarled, shooting daggers at her.
"Okay, okay, chill," she surrendered with hands raised in a placating manner. "That is the eye of the ruse who was supposed to be the trigger, manipulating Vanya to believe what he says.." but then trailed off as she realized she already said too much.
"Manipulating me? Who?" Vanya asked, eyes widened. This again grabbed the other's attention, the girl muttering a curse.
Five gave her a pointed glare, still not stepping back from their too close proximity so as to intimidate [Name] but only causing her to blush in embarrassment once she realizes, making her be the one to step back.
"Yes, well," she started with a sigh. "It's Harold Jenkins, or I guess as you know him, Leonard Peabody." Getting a loud gasp from Vanya. "I know, he killed his dad when he was twelve? Thirteen? I actually don't remember but he's got issues. Oh! And you should see his attic, pretty creepy stuff." She said with a shudder.
"But he's such a nice guy," murmured Vanya.
"Yeah, well, so are most serial killers and mass murderers, I mean, look at him," Allison said as she pointed at Five.
"Thanks," Five answered sarcastically.
"You should check it out, Diego. Get his address from the police," [Name] suggested, remembering that scene but with Five shot, narrowing her eyes in thought as she tried to remember where he got shot.
"He can't really be arrested for something he hasn't even done yet," Five retorted.
"But he can be arrested for killing his father," added Allison.
"Yeah, okay," Diego said, standing up.
"Wait, I'm coming with," Vanya stopped him, standing up.
"No Vanya, stay here. Get your.. powers in check, wouldn't want you to kill anyone accidentally." [Name] could tell that Diego was trying to be nicer, but also still wanting to smack the guy for being a touch too insensitive.
"Don't worry, Vanya. I'm coming, I'll check this creep out," Allison reassured with a small smile. [Name] smiled at the two, finally moving aside their differences and realizing they should have each other's back given that they're the only girls among the siblings.
"What--" Diego tried to say no but was cut off as Allison pushed him to the front door.
[Name] noticed Five fidgeting, seemingly debating something. She walked up to him then and nudged his shoulder with hers.
"You should probably come with them, too. I know you're itching to know who the face is behind this eye," she said with a smile. "Or I guess in front of the eye? You know, coz the face is--" but stopped once she heard his whooshing sound signaling his departure. She smiled to herself, shaking her head as she turned at the others.
"Now what do I do?" She murmured to herself, finally noticing Klaus pouring a drink for himself. She ran towards him and immediately took the glass away from his hand, shaking her head in disapproval.
"Yes! Thank you!" Ben exclaimed, and even though the girl didn't hear it, she still remarked, "I know, sorry Ben, almost forgot we're in a room full of alcohol."
"[Name]," Klaus whined with a pout.
"Klaus," she copied with her hands on her hips. "I told you, you should stop your addiction. I know how hard it is, but if you learned to control your abilities instead of suppressing it like what your dad did to Vanya, then it would be easier for you to get them to shut up. Plus, you can even get Ben to do your bidding if you want."
"Hey!" Said Ben in offense.
"He's probably mad at me right now or something, but see? Because I couldn't see him, I don't really know. But when you do control your powers, I could hear him and therefore he could scold me however you like," she tried to coax him.
"Yeah, or you both could team up on me," muttered Klaus with disdain.
"Or that," she couldn't help but agree. "But! Even so, a cult, don't you want that? I think it would also be fun to prank people with the ghosts and scaring the shit outta them. Maybe even talk to your dad and get him to do your bidding," she said, lighting up as those thoughts slowly formed in her mind, knowing Klaus would probably be happy with that.
"Oh my God! You're right! That is the best idea you've given me, [Name]!" Said Klaus jovially, his smile turning into an evil grin as he slowly moved away from the bar.
"Then c'mon! Try and summon Ben first and then whomever you like!" She said excitedly, pulling him to the courtyard where she knew Pogo and Vanya probably are.
