"So, what do we do?" I hear Cisco ask Barry in the Time Vault seconds after getting back to Star Labs with Marlize.

Barry sighs, admitting, "I don't know."

"It's okay, Barry." I walk into the Time Vault, Marlize next to me, a sarcastic smile on my lips, "Cause I think I found someone who might."

"You found her-" Barry exhales, walking over to me, engulfing me into a hug.

"Don't underestimate me, Allen." I hug back, looking up at him.

"I never do." Barry kisses my head lightly, before we all walk into the cortex, where everyone else stood.

After Marlize explained what she had in mind, everyone was at edge with it.

"Look, I love "Inception" as much as the next guy, but sending Barry into Devoe's mind?" asked Cisco, founding the console.

"His mind is the only one fast enough to survive the linking process without any harm." Marlize crosses her arms.

"Yeah, but how would this help us to stop him?" Barry questions.

"If we can find the good left in Clifford and help it retake control of his mind, that good could overpower the bad." Marlize explained.

"You think there actually is good left inside him?" Barry asks, crossing his arms.

"I know that this is hard to imagine, but there was a time when Clifford was nothing but good, when he truly wanted to help the world." Marlize says, "It's the dark matter he infused in his brain that changed him. So yes, I do believe that there is some good in him. Someway we just need to find it."

"This is crazy." Barry exhales, "I mean, why don't we just call someone we trust? Kara, Oliver, Wally-"

"I trust her." I quickly spoke up, putting a hand on Marlize's shoulder, looking directly at Barry, "And I know if anything- she knows what she's doing. She helped him achieve this- she must know how to stop it."

Barry stares at me, before slowly nodding, "If you trust her- then I trust her."

"Nonetheless, you could bring a legion of your friends, but they would pose no challenge." Marlize spoke up, "Clifford created the bus metas and the combination of the abilities to ensure that he could defeat anyone whose assistance you might enlist."

"How long until our minds are wiped?" I look up at Marlize, quietly speaking.

"Once the permeation grid hits 100%." Marlize stares at the screen, 23% written in bold red.

"How would we get me inside his mind?" Barry asks, looking at her.

"We need to find a way to transfer your consciousness into his." Marlize says, stepping closer to them.

"No, you know what happens every time I try to vibe him." Cisco instantly denies, "I can't do it."

"I do. But I don't think it's your power we need, Mr.

Ramon." Marlize says, looking at Cecile, who sat in the medical room with Joe and Caitlin, "I believe it's hers."

-

"Is everything ready?" I ask, walking into the Speed Lab with Barry, Joe and Cecile following us.

"Think so." Caitlin nods, my eyes landing on Devoe's floating chair.

"Mr. Allen, the chair." Marlize instructs, "Ms. Horton, the gurney."

Joe speaks up, "You want to put him in that thing?"

"It is the only way to establish a transcranial link between Ms. Horton and Mr. Allen." Marlize explains.

"Joe, I'll be all right." Barry nods, seating himself in the chair.

"Hey-" I grab Barry's hand, my tone low, "I love you."

"I love you." Barry brings my hand up, kissing it, as I gave him a weak smile, stepping away from him.

"Mr. Allen, put the cap on your head." Marlize instructs, placing something on Cecile's forehead, Barry obeying.

"Once Cecile has locked on to Devoe's brain waves, we'll transfer your consciousness to his amygdala." Caitlin explained, "That's the part of the brain that connects emotional significance to memories."

"Where the good memories are, we will find the good part of Clifford." Marlize smiles weakly with hope, "Here we go, Ms. Horton."

I stood by Marlize, as she pressed something on the tablet, both Cecile and Barry's eyes closing.

"Barry?" I call our, monitoring next to Marlize, "Hey, is everything okay? Everything all good in there?"

"Guys, I'm in." Barry replies to us, as we could hear him through it all, but his mouth not moving.

"Paint the picture." Cisco instructs, "What do you see? What's around you?"

"For starters, The Thinker." Barry tells us, "I'm in the 405 bus, in the middle of the street. I just came out of that same portal from before."

"This is where it all began." Marlize says, "It is the nexus of Clifford's brain. Once you find him, get him through it, and he can regain control of his mind."

"What does he need to look for?" I look up at her.

"Our house." She tells us.

"All right." Barry says, as we could all tell he was already on it.

"Barry, what do you see?" I ask him, looking down at the screen.

Barry spoke up, "Nothing."

"A little vague for the viewers at home." Cisco began, "What do you mean "nothing"?"

"I mean it's empty." Barry sighs, "It is completely empty. Where should I go-"

The sound of static crackles through the system that was our communication with Barry, my head snapping up, "Barry?"

Cecile lets out a gasp in pain, snapping out of it, her eyes wide as she held onto her stomach.

"Babe, breathe." Joe rubs her back.

"Cecile's powers are connected to her pregnancy." Caitlin says, "Her contractions must be putting a strain- on her transcranial link."

"No, no, no." Marlize points at Cecile, "We need to do something about that."

"We can't exactly stop her from having a baby, Marlize." I look at her, my eyes slightly wide.

"We have to, Mrs. Allen, or this will never work." She shot back at me, "She is the only way to get Barry in and out of Clifford's mind."

"Everyone chill, it's not like Cecile is going to lose her powers if she has this baby." Cisco puts his hands up, noticing Marlize's silence, "Cecile is going to lose her powers if she has this baby? Won't that leave Barry stranded in Devoe's mind?"

"I'm afraid so." Marlize admits.

I stare at her, "Wait, are you kidding me?"

"Information you may have wanted to share, like, way before now." Cisco raises his voice.

"Joe, do you still have that inhaler I gave you?" Caitlin spoke up.

"Yeah, it's in our hospital bag." Joe nods.

"Okay, most inhalers contain the drug terbutaline, which can be used to slow down contractions." Caitlin explains her idea.

Cecile grabs onto Caitlin's arm, looking at her, "I found Thomas. He's been this way all the time."

"What the hell is that all about?" Joe asks.

"I- I don't know I'm going to get the inhaler." Caitlin stammers, heading out, "Cisco, cover me."

"Guys, we need to tell Barry where to go next." I look up at everyone.

"Harry figured out where Marlize was." Cisco starts to suggest, "Maybe he can-"

His head turns, only to see Harry not in the spot he was before, but not present in the room.

-

"Harry?" I call out as Cisco and I ran down to his workshop, my eyes landing on him, him seated in a chair, the thinking cap in front of him, "What are you doing?"

"Help." He lets out weakly, looking up at Cisco and I.

"No." Cisco instantly says, "You are not frying away what's left of you."

"Help!" Harry hits the desk, standing up, raising his voice, as I flinch at his sudden outburst, small tears filling in my eyes because of what had become of Harry, then his tone softens, "Help. Please."

"Cisco-" I began, only to shut myself up when Cisco turns on the cap and puts it on Harry's head.

"See?" Cisco says, "Nothing."

"Ramon. Allen." Harry looks at us, "Where Devoe first fell in love with Marlize. Tell Barry to go there. You'll find him there. Okay?"

"Okay." I nod, moving next to Cisco, "Thank you. You're a great help."

"And one more thing." Harry whispers, then engulfs Cisco in a tight hug, then moving onto me.

I slowly wrap my arms around him, holding onto him tightly, closing my eyes, wanting to just cry right here about what had become of our dear friend.

Harry steps away, sitting down, giving us a weak smile.

I slowly turn off the helmet, taking it off his head, putting it down, Harry starting to continue his gibberish, "Stars, so little. We shouldn't be here."

"I won't lose anyone else today." Cisco says, putting a hand on Harry's shoulder, "I won't."

I leave the workshop, heading back into the Speed Lab, Cisco following me, "Harry had an idea. Go to Oxford."

"Oxford?" Barry questions, his voice coming through the line, as I sided next to Marlize once more.

"The hamlet of Boars Hill." Marlize says, "The place where we fell in love."

"All right, I'm on my way." Barry tells us.

Seconds later, he speaks again, "I'm here. There is a blanket, some wine There's a song playing on a car radio."

"Our first dance." Marlize recalls, looking down.

"What about Devoe?" I question.

"He's not here." He tells us, "All right guys, well where to next?"

Suddenly, Barry was speaking to someone else, "Ralph? Is that really you?"

"I thought I lost you." He lets put, "I'm so sorry, man."

"Barry, did you just say, Ralph?" I question.

"Yes, guys." Barry lets out a chuckle. "Yeah, it's Ralph. He's- he's alive."

We all look up at each other, small chuckles in relief leaving from all of us, knowing our friend was alive.

-

"He's coming for us." Cecile snaps out of it, looking at us, "I heard his thoughts. He's coming. He's coming here."

"Devoe?" I question, "In that case- we need to leave, now."

"And go where?" Joe instantly questions.

My mouth falls open in speechlessness, not knowing any answer, looking at Marlize.

Marlize types away quickly on the tablet she held in her hand, Cisco using his breach to breach Harry into the Speed Lab by us.

Suddenly, Devoe walks in through the pocket dimension, "Good. We are gathered here today to worship in song. I suggest Kumbaya." Devoe's Hans reaches up, only for him to be held back by a force field.

"A force field. Ah." Cisco says, "Force field, sucker."

"I should never have let you build this chair without my oversight." Devoe looked at Marlize, "It was my first miscalculation."

"You've made many miscalculations." I mutter, my stare straight.

"Really?" Devoe looks at me, "Have you ever pondered why I never pursued The Flash? Never needed his speed or his mind? Anyone?"

We all stay silent, causing him to speak, "His connection to the Speed Force. Access to all of time Past, present, future. True knowledge. And now that you have placed him inside my mind, I'll have it all."

"You'll have to find us first." Marlize says, pulling us into a pocket dimension, us appearing at Devoe's lair.

"Devoe's lair?" Cisco instantly speaks up, "Are you crazy?"

"Can he find us in this pocket dimension?" Joe questions.

"I've bought us some time." Marlize walks over to her own equipment.

"Time- rhyme- fly- side." Harry mutters to himself, looking around.

"Cecile, as needy as I sound, we need you to try and link up with Barry again." I told her, feeling ashamed that I was asking her through her pain to get me some communication with my husband.

"I'll try." Cecile nods towards me, closing her eyes, Marlize setting everything up here.

"Barry?" I call out quietly, "Barry, can you hear me?"

"Yeah." Barry's tone was off, "Yeah, Zee, I hear you."

"What happened? What's wrong?" I instantly ask.

"Good Devoe, we found him." He sighs, "He's dead."

Suddenly, the alarm starts to blare loudly, Cisco looking up, "What was that?"

"My husband." Marlize walks to the screen, "He's getting close."

She types away, the sound of beeping and a huge whirl following after, causing Cisco to speak up again, "Please tell me someone else felt that."

"Apologies." Marlize apologizes, "I had to force an emergency shift to another pocket dimension. It can be unnerving."

"Nerving, serving, swerving, curving." Harry grabs his own head.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, it's okay." Cisco heads over to Harry.

Cecile lets out a grunt in pain, gasping, her head wide, snapping out of it once more.

Joe asks, "What's wrong?"

"No more labor suppression." Caitlin stares at the empty plastic, "How you feeling, Cecile?"

"Like I don't know if I can do this." Cecile admits, the pain getting the best of her.

"You shouldn't have to." Joe says, "You should be able to have our baby just like any other parent, in a hospital, in a regular bed, not with all this."

"Hey, look what you've done to our friend, my son-" Joe was talking to Marlize, then points at me. "My daughter, the love of my life, everybody in this damn city."

My heart stops when he claims me as his own, warmth filling within me.

"How could you ever think that this would be better for humanity?" Joe was lashing out at Marlize.

"Joe-" I step in, "Strength without faith means nothing. Keep that in mind- and take a breather."

Joe sighs, stepping back.

"How long until he finds us?" I look at Marlize.

"Minutes, maybe less." Marlize looks back at her tablet.

"Crap in a hat." Ralph Dibny was next to me, as we were trying to get to the nexus of Devoe's mind, but of course, Devoe was fighting back, "I can't hit him."

"They can read our minds." I breath heavily, fixing my cowl.

"Then we do this Dibny-style." Ralph looks at me, "We don't think."

I question, "What?"

"Just fill your mind with something else. Something you love." Ralph gets up, expanding his fist, landing a punch on one of the Devoe's after screaming, "Shrimp buffet!"

I smirk at him, then look at the army of Devoe's clones heading towards me, electricity sparking in my eyes, "It's you and me, Zee."

I got up, letting out a yell, filling my thoughts about Zee, punching every Devoe that came in my way, making my way through the stampede.

I thought about the time Zee was still a reporter at CCPN, when she came over to CCPD to convince me to swipe Joe's case file on a meta so she can write her article about it.

Asking Joe hadn't gone well for her, so she had come to me for help. Of course, I helped her, but on the way back from getting the case when Joe stepped out, I had run into Captain Singh.

Captain Singh and I had a small conversation, and the conversation ended in him telling me to never get married.

As I turned around, I had run right into Zee, as she was walking towards me after seeing I had the file in my hands.

Little did I know, I had ran right into my future wife.

My mind trials off to another time, where I stood in my CSI Lab the night after my date with Patty, talking to Joe.

Date night with Patty, I had lost my sight because of Doctor Light. I lightly chuckle at the thought of Cisco and Zee helping me throughout most of the date, tuning in.

I had been bummed out, and completely guilty that even though I was with Patty the entire night, every time I heard Zee's voice through the comms I had in my ears that night, that's when my heart would stop.

Whenever Zee would laugh at something I did, or her and Cisco were arguing about who got the last gummy worm, that's what I had paid attention to, and she was the woman who made my heart go berserk.

I had explained to Joe that night that, no matter how much Patty and I had in common, or how adorable, or kind she was, she just wasn't Zee.

And Zee was what I had always wanted, and needed.

Whether I saw it sooner or later.

She was the woman I loved. She is the woman I love. My stomach still does flips when she kisses me, and I can't help but smile when she looks at me.

Zee was the woman that I felt safe and loved with. She was always there for me and always knew what to say. She had a heart like no other, filled with humor, and happiness, no matter what she's been through. She was fearless, and wasn't afraid to jump in when she is needed. She always seemed to lighten up my mood with her sarcastic comments, and smart ass remarks, even if they were sometimes hostile.

Through all the pain she felt, she didn't let it determine who she became. She used it at strength, and smiled through it all. The strongest people are the ones who have gone through absolutely hell, and still have a smile on your face at the end. Zee was one of those people.

She had a good heart. And always will. She will always care for other people more than herself, and she will always feel for both sides.

She developed so much in the past few years, into the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.

That was who I thought about. Zee.

"Shrimp platter! Shrimp cocktail!" Ralph's screams catch my attention, "Um, beignets de crevettes."

"Once again, Mr. Allen, your best will not be good enough." Many more Devoe's show up, Ralph coming to my side.

"What's the plan, Rookie? I'm running out of shrimp entrees." Ralph looks at me.

An idea pops into my head, "Well, you're only gonna need one."

[ zee's pov ]

"They're coming every five minutes." Joe sighs, rubbing Cecile's back.

"The stars are raining-" Harry trails off.

Cecile groans, Caitlin speaking up, "Cecile, please just focus on not having a baby."

"Stars are raining, draining, painting." Harry trials off, crossing his arms.

"He sounds just like Barry when he came out of the Speed Force." Cisco stares at Harry.

I fix Barry's hat on my head, fixing his jacket also, a sigh leaving my lips, "Yeah, I know."

"No, I mean, he's saying the exact same words." Cisco looks at me.

Suddenly the alarm starts blaring loudly, Devoe walking in through his pocket dimension portal, sending us all flying, using Null's abilities to keep us held down on the ground.

Joe had his gun aimed at Devoe, Devoe using his abilities to aim the gun at Joe's head, "You should mind where you point your weapon, Detective West."

"Devoe!" I shout, not being able to move, staring at him with wide eyes, as of screaming at him would stop him.

"You remind me very much of your husband, Mrs. Allen." Devoe turns towards me, "He was screaming at me just like that when I took Mr. Ralph Dibny away from him."

"Stay away from my girls." Joe had fought back, pointing the gun right back at him, Devoe just using Null's abilities to just have him up against the wall.

Devoe heads towards Cecile, focused on killing her, using Null's abilities to choke her.

Unexpectedly, Barry's eyes snap open, electricity crackling through them, as he took off the helmet, standing up straight, his stare fixed on Devoe, and by the look on his face, I could tell he had done something to stop Devoe.

Cecile gasps for air, breathing heavily, Devoe's power wearing off us suddenly, all of us free from his hold, as I instantly shot up to my feet.

Devoe starts to make unpleasant noises, then falling to the ground, hitting something on his chair, then his back was against the wall, Barry standing over him, Devoe screaming, "How did you beat me?"

"I didn't." Barry's expression remains, "We did."
