"NO!"
As you got closer to the museum you could feel the clouds forming above your head beneath your fingertips and felt the energy crackle between them with anticipation and adrenaline. As the museum came into view your heart was beating faster than ever and you raised your hand to the sky, bringing it down powerfully.
The sound of thunder echoed in your ears and the lightning painted the sky above you. As the doors neared, you used a blast of water to throw them open, knocking one of them off its hinges.
And there they were, the entire school to witness your return.
Just as you passed through the threshold, the horse dissolved into a puddle beneath your bare feet and you there you stood in all your glory, with sun kissed skin and island blossoms woven into your hair.
In contrast to your delicate appearance, your eyes were stone cold and blazing at the same time. You were glaring at the villains standing before you, vaguely noticing Max lying on the floor and cradling Phoebe.
"It's (Y/N)...." "She has powers?" "Didn't she run away?" "She's back." Hushed whispers came from the crowd and everyone was too shocked to move.
"(Y/N), is that really you?" Asked Hank from behind you but you didn't turn, continuing to glare daggers and the group of villains.
"Get Phoebe to a hospital." You said, voice unwavering.
"No, we're not leaving you here alone." Came a firm reply from them.
You still didn't look, keeping your eyes on your enemies to make sure they don't make any sudden moves. Your stance was rigid, so you could be ready for anything they were going to throw at you.
"That wasn't a question. Now get her out of here."
"You can't face the world's most dangerous villain by yourself."
"Yes, because 2 middle aged people and 3 children would really help me. Now I'm serious, get Phoebe to a hospital before she dies right here. She's getting weaker."
"Besides, she's not alone, she has me." Max said, standing up with his sister in his arms to hand her over to his dad.
That seemed to get them to their sense and Hank took Phoebe before they hurried towards the door.
"Stop them!" Shouted Dark Mayhem and the villains immediately took off after the Thundermans.
You didn't hesitate.
Not even for a second.
Flicking your wrists, you pulled the water off the floor to slam into them, throwing them back and slamming them against the walls and then standing between them and the exit to make it clear that they'd have to go through you to get to them.

But by the time they regained their senses, the Thundermans were long gone.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the little water sprite." Spoke Dark Mayhem in a condescending manner that you didn't like, but you still looked at him indifferently.
"I thought you were dead." He wondered, "No, no, you were definitely dead, I remember spitting on your grave."
"Don't talk to her like that." Growled Max from beside you.
"Then I will smash you like the little bug she is." He said, creating a plasma sphere in the palm of his hand, aiming for you, but you were quicker.
A wave of water blocked it before it could even come close.
"I will tell you once, get out of Hiddenville and never return."
"Or what!"
"I'll feed you to my snakes."
You turned to Max, "You take Fairy Pinchcess and Son of Scalestro."
"You can't take on Dark Mayhem yourself, he's too powerful." Max said, but you shook your head, "Then once you're done with them you can come and help me."
Nodding, he took off and the chaos ensued.
The students hiding in the back were always in the corner of your mind as you tried deflecting the attacks.
Strongdor was obviously the first to come after you, the brute trying to knock you off using force but you were quick to evade him and savagely defeated him, wanted to save energy to defeat Dark Mayhem.
You quickly morphed the water around you to crawl up Strongdor's body and wrap thickly around his neck. He managed to break through its grip a few times but you took a deep breath, standing still, knowing that he couldn't reach you.
You focused on solidifying the water around his neck, feeling his veins pulse between your fingers and slowly brought your hands to fists, turning the water into ice as it contracted around his neck.
He immediately began gasping for breath as he tried to tear the ice off his neck but every time he grabbed it, it turned into water and slipped from his fingers.
In no time, he was on the floor and you released your grasp from his neck, seeing the red slowly seep back to his face. In a final blow, you slammed his unconscious body to a pillar, letting the debris fall over him to ensure he wouldn't get up any time soon.
When you turned back to Dark Mayhem, your body was shaking with adrenaline and you felt the strongest need to protect those around you. Maybe this is what it meant to be a hero.

You were waiting for him to attack you, to move, so you could turn it against him.
But I guess he realized that he was targeting you all wrong and pulled his hand back to shoot, but in the last second, he angled it away from you, shooting the sphere towards the defenceless students.
You worked fast, immediately redirecting the water to save them but leaving yourself defenceless and Dark Mayhem took that to his advantage, shooting you quickly with a weak shot.
Even a weak shot of his managed to get you on the floor, eyes not being able to focus.
"(Y/N)!"
Having handled the other two villains, Max ran to you, cradling your head and trying to get you to look at him.
"Are you okay?"
Your head was aching and your ears were ringing but you managed to nod your head, "I'm fine."
Taking a deep breath and pulling yourself off the ground, you took a quick look at Max, "I need cover."
He nodded and you pulled the water to the air, letting him use his heat breath to turn it to steam and directed it to Dark Mayhem before making your way to the students.
"You need to get out of here." You told them and some followed the path you cleared to the door leading to the hall.
"No, I'm not leaving without you." Came a shaky voice and you turned to see Cherry with tears running down her face and her makeup running everywhere.
"Cherry." You whispered and ran to hug her, and she immediately began sobbing on your shoulder, "I missed you so much."
"I'm so scared, (Y/N)."
"It'll be okay." You said gently, wiping away the tears from her eyes, and rubbing her arms, "But I need you to get some place safe."
You vaguely heard Dark Mayhem starting to fire random shots out of the fog he was in.
"I'm not going without you. I'm not losing you again."
"Cherry, I'm sorry, but I don't have time." You muttered, pulling away from her and gathering the water at her feet, pushing her out through the doors.
"NO! (Y/N)! NOO!!" You heard her shriek painfully, trying to reach for you but you only pushed her away to safety, sealing the doors after her tightly with ice.
Turning back to the tornado of steam in the centre of the room, you nodded to Max and then brought it down.
Dark Mayhem was immediately struck by Max and you slammed him into the wall, curling the water around his torso, trying to crush him but he shot a beam at you and you had to redirect the water to shield yourself.
"I'm gonna try and get him outside. Cover me." You muttered to Max and he nodded, starting to direct his attacks to Dark Mayhem while moving towards the door.
You threw the emergency exit doors wide open and heard the thunder crack from outside. Bringing the water from the rain indoors, you began to create a whirlpool on the floor, effectively knocking Dark Mayhem off his feet and pulling him to the centre.
As soon as he was steady, he shot a sphere at you which was deflected by Max and you gathered the water around Dark Mayhem's body and flung him out the door.
You and Max immediately followed, allowing yourselves to get drenched in the rain. You immediately focused on the droplets above dark mayhem, turning them into icicles and Max used his telekinesis to bring then down on him.
It was going to over soon. You knew it.
The sky above you was painted white and a large rumble of thunder followed it, bringing an idea to your mind.
Immediately, you ran up to Max, getting the both of you far enough before bringing your hand to the sky.
The lightning cracked, but didn't moved, the bolt just hovered in the sky as you built up the energy and tried to control it.
You raised your second hand, feeling your body get weaker as you tried to hold the power in between your palms and you felt Max steady you with hands around your waist.
In the corner of your eye, you saw Dark Mayhem move and you let go of the breath you were holding, slamming your hands down with a cry and watched a lightning bolt in the form of a snake strike him in his place.
The lightning practically blinded you and the thunder made your ears ring.
Max's hands tightened around your waist as you slumped against him, exhausted.
The rain slowly lifted and the moon peaked through the clouds. Your ears were still ringing and your skin was buzzing with electricity but you felt Max press a kiss to your forehead.
It was over.
You had won.

Natural Alchemist
Will is poor. This is a fact he does not like about himself. Even back at his home village he was considered poor, but poor in the big city means something completely different than poor in a small village... It means ten hour days of hard manual labor with barely enough money to survive, and poor living conditions. He's sick of it, and desperate for change. Perhaps that was what made him decide to spend such a large portion of his savings on a mysterious potion from that beggar... That, and it seemed so special when he held it. But ever since that day, he's been having the strangest dreams... And the work is really starting to take a toll on his body... Author's Note: I wasn't sure which mature content warnings I should put on this novel, as I'm pretty much pantsing the story. I'm putting them there mostly as a percaution, but also to not limit myself as to where the story can go. This is my first time writing and publishing anything substantial. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Purple Scales - A Reincarnation Story
Ssssssss...... A simple story of a man brought into a world of fantasy, magic, and systems by a crude God as some sort of a deal we may never know. Although.... he's a snake. Your typical honest-to-goodness brightly coloured danger noodle with venoms and all. To be precise, a magical snake with lots of growth potential. Follow the story of Randy, a pushover whose commands by God only being "survive, and grow big", on a journey to... well... survive and grow big, as he discovers what the world truly has to offer. Which is not much. Hopefully, not too much. A typical reincarnation story, really, but it might just satisfy your thirst for these kinds of stories. I'm just an amateur writer hobby-writing on my spare time, mostly for private consumption. This is also a practice on me developing gamelike-systems in literature. Will contain lots of swearing Any criticisms and feedback regarding storyline, language, and thematics are welcome. As this is a spare-time hobby, updates are not, will not, and will never be predictable. I will try my best, but don't get your hopes up. Inspired by a few other works on this site.

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
