"I'm so excited!" You beamed, practically exploding next to Max as you walked towards the entrance of the hotel. Your boyfriend gave you an amused smile, "I can tell, you look like you're gonna die from excitement."
You knew Max was making fun of you but you couldn't be bothered, smiling so brightly your cheeks hurt, "I might just."
When the hotel staff came to you with complimentary drinks and a tray full of flowers, you couldn't resist and picked up a hibiscus before tucking it behind your left ear. Max picked up a drink and took a sip, confirming it was your favourite flavour before handing it over to you.
You smiled at him, accepting the drink and grabbing his free hand, pulling him closer to you as you walked toward the hotel.
Barb and Hank quickly made their ways toward the counter as you stayed back, taking in the sight of the blue waters against white sands. The sounds of the waves and the wind and the feeling of water being all around you filled you with a strange feeling of home. It of course helped that your family was with you as well.
His parents came quickly, handing all of you a key card. They were rooming with chloe and the rest of the boys and girls were divided. Max had tried to convince you to plead to have a room with him but you quickly shut down his plan by laughing in his face.
"Oh, (Y/N), honey, could you please go to the counter and ask them to send a meat and cheese platter to our room?" Asked Hank and you nodded.
"I'll come with." Max said, pulling you towards the counter when you got stopped by someone who offered you a lei.
"Hi," You smiled kindly at the woman behind the counter.

"Welcome," She smiled cheerfully at you, "The honeymoon suite is available for the happy couple."
You froze, a flustered laugh leaving your lips while Max snickered beside you, "Uh, no, we just need a meat and cheese platter sent to our room." You muttered, embarrassed.
"Of course!" She said, handing you a pen and paper to fill in your room details. Once you were done, you handed them back to her, bowing your head a little in thanks before turning around.
"Congractulations on your marriage!" She called out and you felt all the heat rush to your face.
"We're not—"
"Thank you!" Max said brightly, pulling you towards the elevators where the rest of the family was waiting.
"Do you mind taking Chloe to the lei making session they're having in the craft hut?" Barb asked, pleading because she wanted some time alone to eat lunch with Hank.
You nodded, "Sure, we'll have fun alone, won't we Chloe?" You asked, squatting down to her eye level and she nodded excitedly.
"I'll keep you company." Max said, picking up Chloe and she squealed, happily throwing her arms around her brother and you smiled.
"Are you sure? I thought you wanted to go paragliding?"
"I wanted to go paragliding with you, and you're going to the craft hut so that's where I'm going."
You gave him a loving look, covering Chloe's eyes as she giggled and quickly kissed him, "Alright then, to the crafts hut!"
It didn't take you long to get there, and you made your way to the entrance, signing all three of your names.
"It's so great to see young parents," Said the woman leading the class as she looked at the three of you with a fond smile, "I wish you happiness is your life."

"Um, we're not—" You started, your face turning red when you heard Chloe giggle from beside you.
"Thank you!" Chloe and Max said cheerfully and you glared at the two of them who could've been twins judging by the mischevious smirks on their face.
"You have got to stop saying that before the entire island thinks we're married 17 year olds with a 6 year old daughter." You scolded but they both just grinned at you and you sighed.
"....The lomi-lomi salmon and the Pasteles." Said the waiter as he placed each dish in front of all of you.
"Um, wait a second, we didn't order these last two."
"Oh we know, it's on the house in celebration of the newlyweds." Said the waiter smiling brightly as he set a platter of fruit in front of you and Max. Everyone at the table froze and you felt like banging your head against the table.
"Okay, I've had enough. We aren't married, why do people keep assuming that?" You complained.
"My apologies for the misunderstanding but you are wearing a hibiscus behind your left ear, it' a common sign for marriage here." He informed you and you froze, your hand going to the blosson tucked behind your ear before you swiftly pulled it out.
"So, you mean everyone on the island who saw me thinks I'm married?" You asked, eyes wide and Phoebe burst into laughter, prompting the rest of the family to laugh at you as well.
The waiter smiled awkwardly before leaving and you sighed, hiding your face from embarrassment and Max just patted the top of your head, "Aw, it's okay, it could've been worse."
Your head snapped up and you stared at him in shock as realization washed over you, "They probably thought that Chloe was our daughter too!!"
Everyone just laughed harder.
You sighed happily as Max and you walked hand-in-hand, barefoot on the coast, letting the waves lick your toes as you each held your shoes in your free hands.
"You weren't really upset right?" Max began hesitantly, like he was scared of your answer.
"About what, babe?"
"That....That everyone thought that you were married to me?" He asked softly and you stopped walking, making him stop in his tracks as well. You knew that even though Max was cocky and sometimes arrogant, he gave his all in your relationship and you knew that this relationship was it. For the both of you.
"No...I was just upset because, you know, we're still young, and it was in front of your enite family." You muttered, trying not to relive your embarrassment when his parents joked about how Chloe did look more like your child than theirs.
"So, um, if I um—" He started but quickly got tongue-tied and stopped in the middle of the sentence. You sent him a look, prompting him to finish but he awkwardly stood there fiddling with something.
"Maxy, what is it?" You asked, squeezing his hand gently and he revealed a hibiscus flower he had been hiding behind his back.
"I'm not asking now, but sometime in the future, when we're older, if I ask...?" He asked softly, getting caught up in his own words. You understood what he meant anyway.
Smiling gently, you plucked the flower from between his finger tips, setting it behind your left ear, "If you ask me when we're older, then I'll say yes."
The smile he sent you made you breathless and he leaned in to press a kiss to your lips, grinning when you wrapped your arms around him.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
