《Please...》Chapter Twenty Five

"I want to go on a date," Remus said suddenly as they were grading first years' essays. "Like, a real one."
Severus stared for a moment. "Like... Like, where..."
The wolf chuckled. "Yes, Severus. Like when people who love each other very much go and to romantic things. We don't even have to technically go anywhere, I just thought it'd be nice."
Severus nodded. "I think I'd like that... What would we do?"
Remus ruffled his boyfriend's hair playfully. "I'll give you a date and where to go, all right? Let me take care of everything else."
Severus set his pile of papers down, having finished his grading, and leaned against Remus. He pulled the hood of Remus' hoodie, which he 'borrowed', over his head. "Love you."
"Love you, too."

"All right, Harry," Severus said. "Are you ready to spend some time with Tommy?"
Harry nodded happily, he missed his friend very much. "Tommy! I getta play with 'im all day!?"
"Not all day, bambi, just this evening," Severus said, chuckling because it was already five o clock. "No going outside, okay? We don't want you getting sick again and your jacket is being washed, so stay inside."
"Okay Daddy!" Harry exclaimed. "Treacle tart!?"
"You may have one when you are with Tommy, Harry."
"Why're you dressing up Daddy?" Harry asked.
Severus quickly tied his hair back before answering, "Because, bambi, I'm going out." He brushed his ponytail before tying it into a bun.
"Pretty," Harry said quietly. "Can I have long hair like yours?"
Severus chuckled. "Your hair is long, bambi," he said, looking in the mirror at Harry's chin length hair. "Why? Do you want it longer?"
"I dunno... I wanna be able to put it in a ponytail!"
"You probably could, bambi. I'll try once I'm done with myself." He strode over to wardrobe, which was open, and stared. "Oh Merlin, I'm about to ask a five year old what to wear to my date..." he muttered to himself. "Harry, come and help me please?"
Harry slid off the bed and ran to stand next to Severus. "What?"
"What should I wear?"
"Hmm... I like this one!" Harry said, pointing to a black turtleneck. "With these!" He picked out a pair of Muggle jeans from the very bottom pile.
"Black skinny jeans?" Severus said in disbelief. "I haven't worn those in years... Doubt they'll even fit."
"Where'd you get them?" Harry asked. "They don' look like the rest of your clothes."

"Lucy gave them to me to wear as a dare, Bambi. Still, I'm not sure they'll fit. Well, I'll have to try, right? Anything else?"
"Uh..." Harry shook his head. "No."
"Well, I do have to pick a shirt."
Severus disappeared into his bathroom and Harry sat back on the bed, set on finishing his picture.
"All right, Harry, how to I look?"
Harry looked up from his picture. "Pretty!" he exclaimed. "I like it!"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"All right, bambi. Tommy's going to pick you up in... Ten or so minutes. Want a story?"
Harry shook his head. "I wanna read!"
"Okay, bambi. Pick out a book and you can read it."
Harry chose Goldilocks and the Three Bears again. "I like Little Bear!" he exclaimed. "'E's nice to Goldy!"
"Yes, yes he is, bambi."
They read quietly until they heard Salazar shouting, "THERE'S SOMEONE HERE, SNAKEY SNAPE!"
Harry laughed at this. "Sal's funny!"
Severus tickled Harry's sides. "Oh, yeah? 'Snakey Snape', huh?"
"Daddy! S-Stop! Tickles!" Harry giggled. "D-Daddy, tickles!"
"Okay, okay, I'll stop. Let's go see Tommy, yeah?"
Harry jumped off the sofa and ran to the portrait. "Tommy!" he exclaimed when he saw the second year. "Hi!"
"Hi, Harry! Feeling better?" Tommy asked as he walked inside, the portrait slamming shut.
Harry grabbed Tommy's hand as they walked back to the sitting room where Severus was. "Yeah! I feel lots better now."
"Well, that's good, isn't it?"
Harry nodded. He chose to let go of Tommy's hand and sat next to Severus on the sofa. "We getta play?"
Tommy took a seat in an armchair. "Yes, Harry. There are all sorts of games we can play." He turned to Severus. "Anything we can't do? Anything I should know?"
"Well, his winter jacket's being washed, and we don't want him to get sick again, so no going outside this time. He may have one treacle tart."
"Can he eat dinner in the Great Hall?"
Severus nodded. "Yes, just make sure he stays at the Slytherin or Staff table. I don't want him running around the entire time instead of eating."
"Okay, Professor. I'll bring him back around eight, right?"
"Yes. All right, Harry, go on with Tommy. Want to bring Lily along?" Harry nodded, and Severus summoned the bear from his room. "Okay, bambi. How many treacle tarts do you get?"
Harry held up all ten of his fingers, giggling.

Severus chuckled as well. "Fine, two, but not ten." He pressed a kiss to Harry's forehead. "Bye, Harry. Goodbye, Thomas."
Harry kissed Severus' nose. "Bye-Bye, Daddy!"
"Bye, Professor."
With that, the two walked out of Severus' quarters, and Severus made his way to the portrait connecting his and Remus', where Remus said he had set up everything. He said the password, and the portrait swung open.
"Remus?" he called out when he saw no one there. His first thought was that Remus was still getting ready, but then...
"Oh Merlin..." Severus said quietly. "He's not coming."
He almost sat on the floor when he noticed a folded piece of parchment in front of him. He leaned down to pick it up, then unfolded it carefully.
Come find me, was written in Remus' neat handwriting, along with a small heart.
He first looked in the sitting room, but only found another piece of parchment that said, You're adorable, but wrong.
He chuckled to himself. He moved to the dining room, and found a third folded note, this one saying, Love you. You're close.
In the kitchen, one said, Almost there, luv, with another heart.
Well, the last place was his bedroom, so he went down the hallway to his right. There was a note on the door. He carefully opened it.
You found me!
He opened the door and saw Remus sitting on his bed. "You found me," he said quietly with a smile.
"Yes, I did, you dork." Severus took a spot on the bed in front of Remus. "That was cute, wolfy..."
"Good, I wanted it to be."
"Why your room?" Severus said, breaking this silence.
Remus shrugged. "Because I rather like what I did to my ceiling..."
The statement caused Severus to look up at his Remus' ceiling, and it looked just like the night sky.
"Holy hell, Remus... That is... very, very impressive magic. I don't think I can do that one yet..."
"Well... I thought, maybe... Well, we could... watch them... there's an indoor picnic, too..." Remus whispered out, clearly flustered. "Stupid, innit?"
Severus moved to sit next to Remus instead. "Not stupid. It's cute."
"You're cute, by the way. With your black turtleneck and skinny jeans and your hair in a bun..."
Severus blushed a deep red. "Thank you..."
Remus waved his wand, and a basket appeared. "Picnic?" he asked, already opening it.
"Obviously, wolfy."
The two ate quietly, looking at the stars above them. At one point, Severus took Remus' hand in his own, their fingers fitting into place perfectly.
Neither let go.
The Gryffindor pulled them each to a lying position once they were finished, the picnic basket on the floor. Severus curled against Remus' side, head once again on his chest. He could hear Remus' heartbeat.
"Remus..." Severus said quietly. "Can you sleep over tonight? Please?"
"Yes. Why?"
"I just need my wolf."
Remus chuckled and pulled a duvet over them both. "You want me to cuddle you to sleep again, don't you?"
"O' course I do."
"You know, as much as you try to make people believe you aren't," Remus started, "you are really, really adorable."
"No..." Severus groaned playfully.
"Yes!" Remus said back, chuckling. "You know you are."
The Slytherin wrapped his arm around Remus' waist and looked up at the starry ceiling. "I... Why the stars?"
"You put stars on your ceiling the other day, so I thought you'd like these."
Severus felt his face heat up again. "You noticed?"
"Course I notice, they glow! Why?"
"Nothing..."
"Are you embarrassed?" Remus asked in disbelief. "Don't be, I had the same things in my room as a kid. I loved them."
"Yeah, as a kid-"
"I still like them now," Remus cut him off. "Besides, it's cute."
"Of course you'd say that." Severus started kissing all over Remus' face. His cheeks, his nose, his forehead, every single scar. It made Remus giggle.
"Love you."
"Love you, too."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, Harry," Severus said, half asleep. "How was your day with Tommy?"
"Good, Daddy," Harry replied, just as tired as Sev. "Tired, now."
"Good, because Daddy's tired, too. Thank you, Thomas, again."
Thomas smiled. "No problem, Professor. I love seeing the little guy. Bye-Bye, Harry. See you soon."
"Buh-bye..."
THomas left after a quick goodbye from Salazar, and Severus took Harry to his room.
"Daddy's room?"
Severus shook his head. "Not tonight, bambi. Me and Remus have to finish some things, we don't want to keep you up. You'll be alright."
Harry nodded as Severus tucked him into bed. "Okay... 'Jamas?"
"I spelled you into some. You're too tired to even stand up, bambi." Severus pressed a kiss to Harry's forehead. "Goodnight, bambi."
"Night-Night."
Severus stood in the room until he was sure Harry was asleep before going to his own room, where Remus was waiting.
"He go asleep alright?"
Severus nodded. "Already asleep." He sat against Remus' chest in between his legs. He smiled as Remus lightly kissed his neck. "Rem... We should go to sleep..."
"I know... we are. I'm just kissing you first." The wolf pulled the duvet over both of them as they lied down. "I had fun tonight."
"So did I... We should do stuff like this more often!"
Remus chuckled. "Damn right we should."
