《Please...》Chapter Thirty Five

"Daddy! Dray's here!"
"I noticed, bambi," Severus said, smiling, as HArry tried to pull him out of his armchair, failing and falling on his bum instead. Severus chuckled. "Let's go, bambi." The man gave Harry a piggyback ride out to the sitting room, where Draco was waiting with Lucius.
"Draco!"
"Hold on, Harry, you don't want to fall."
"I'll pick Draco up after dinner?"
"Yep." Severus set Harry down so he could run and hug Draco, the two excitedly mumbling about baking. "And you have the...?"
"At the Manor."
"Draco?"
"Has no idea it's there. I have a few House Elves taking care of it for now."
"Great. I'll have Draco ready at around six, then."
"Draco- Oh, whatever, he's too excited. I'm going to go so I can finally get some quiet."
"You do that. Boys! No jumping on the couch, go jump on a bed." Harry and Draco giggled and ran to Harry's room. "Goodbye, Lucius."
"Bye, Sev."
The moment after Lucius left, Remus arrived. "Draco here yet?"
"Yes, the boys are jumping on Harry's bed. You go get them, I'll put these away."
"Does Lucius have the... You know what?"
"Yes, and Draco has no idea it exists."
"Brilliant."
Remus got the boys while Severus set up, smiling to himself. Harry's birthday would be the best day of his life.
"Daddy, Daddy, I wanna do the eggies!!" Harry exclaimed.
"I wanna do sugar!!"
"Okay, okay! Harry, you're going to help Pappy with the wet ingredients, and Draco, you can help me. Okay? Draco, can you grab the flour?"
Harry had a great time splashing the wet ingredients together, getting a mixture of egg, milk, and other ingredients on the table. Draco got most of the flour on himself rather than in the bowl, but loved it nonetheless.
"In the oven!?" Harry asked after he and Draco took turns stirring the batter. "Baking?"
"In the oven, bambi."
Remus poured the batter into two round pans, then put them in the oven. Afterwards, he said, "How about we play a game? Uno?"
Harry shook his head. "Finger painting!!"
Draco grinned. "Yeah! Finger painting!"
Severus sighed, but got out the paints, paint shirts, and parchment nonetheless.
"Imma do a paintin' of Fulbert!" Harry exclaimed. "B'cause he my best friend."
Draco pouted. "I thought I was you're bestest f'iend..."
"...You my favorites human friend!" Harry decided.
"I guess that's okay," Draco replied. "I'mma do a painting of Daddy and Mummy!"
"Very good, boys. Would you two be alright if we stepped into the other room for a little bit? Can you behave?" The two nodded, giggling with each other. "You may each have a few pieces of candy if you don't eat the paint with it. Deal?"
"Deal, Daddy!"
"Deal!"
"Good. Be nice to each other."
The two walked into their bedroom and closed the door.
"Alright. His party is tomorrow. Lucius'll bring over the item tomorrow," Remus said, grinning. "Do you have the pinata?"
"Yes, Remus. I have the pinata. He needs to go to bed before nine tonight so that we can get him ready before ten."
"Oh, Sev, I can't wait," Remus whispered. "I got an owl from Molly, she's going to send Arthur with tomorrow because she has some errand or something, but he'll bring all of the kids."

"Blaise is going to come with Draco and Lucius," Severus continued. "Tommy'll be there. We're going to make him forget everything that happened before. His old birthdays... he won't remember them..."
"He won't. Don't worry. He's ecstatic."
The Slytherin sighed. "We should take a trip after his birthday. Go to a beach or something."
"Harry would-"
"I meant us... The two of us. Without Harry."
"...Without Harry?"
"Yes, Remus! I... We hardly ever get to spend time alone and I want to...I want to go somewhere with you. I love Harry, but..."
"I get it, we're adults now. Responsible, smart adults," the other man joked. "Who definitely deserve a vacation with each other..."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. I'm sure Harry would love to spend some time with the Malfoys, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to watch him. Or Minerva could watch him, Poppy, Thomas could still babysit-"
"We'll let him decide," Severus interrupted.
"Best option."

"Harry... Harry, honey, wake up."
"Nuh-uh... ten mo'e, Daddy..."
"I guess someone doesn't want any birthday presents?"
Harry blinked his eyes open. "Birthday?"
"Happy birthday, bambi." Severus lifted the boy out of bed and wrapped him in a hug. "Six, huh? Time to start paying for the bills, right?"
"Uh-uh! I ain't got a job!"
"Well, that is a good point. I guess we'll have to wait until you're seven then, hmm?"
Harry nodded, grinning when Severus kissed his cheek. "Breakfast?"
"I think Pappy's working on that right now, bambi. Want to go see?" Harry nodded excitedly and ran out into the dining room, where the table was set and Remus was putting food on plates. Harry's favourites; Caramel rolls, strawberries with whipped cream, and of course, treacle tart. "Like it?"
"Berries!" Harry exclaimed. "Daddy, there's strawberries!!!"
"I know, bambi, I know!" Severus replied. "You can eat whatever you want, okay, but make sure to save some room for later, right?"
"Mhm!" Without saying another word, he took a huge bite out of a roll, getting caramel all over his face, his parents laughing in response. Harry decided that Severus need some roll as well, and shoved it in his face. "Daddy gets some!"
Severus took a bite, laughing. "Thank you, bambi. Now eat up, we've all got our own. You don't have to share."
"But I wanna share!"
"Not food, okay?"
Harry stuck out his tongue, but mumbled a 'fine' anyways, still grinning.
Once breakfast was done, Remus pulled a box wrapped in colorful paper with a bow out of nowhere. "Happy birthday, cub." Severus spelled Harry's hands cleaned so he could open the gift. Harry looked at Remus with a silent question. "Yes, cub, this is for you. Happy birthday."
Harry carefully took it, then tore off the wrappings. Slowly, he opened the box, and let out a squeal.
"DRAGONS!!!" Harry shouted. "New ones, Daddy! New dragon jammies!!!"
"I see, bambi."
"But..." Harry gasped. "Do I hafta get rid of the old one!?"
"No, honey, no! Now you just have two dragon jammies instead of one! When one's dirty, now you still have one to wear while it's being washed."
"Oh," Harry said. "That makes sense! Does I gets to wear them now!?"

"Of course! For your party!"
"Yay!"
"Go on, get changed, bambi. We'll read for a little bit before everyone else gets here, okay?" Harry ran to his room with the new jammies, and Remus and Severus settled on the sofa.
"I told everyone to get here at one," Severus said, "But Lucius will get here a little early just so we can hide the you-know-what in our room." He made sure to whisper so Harry couldn't hear him, just in case.
Remus responded by gently kissing Severus' cheek. "How in the world did I get so lucky?" he asked quietly. "You're perfect."
"Me or him?"
"Both of you. Both of you are perfect." He continued to gently kiss Severus anywhere, really, while playing with his hair, which at this point had grown past his shoulders. "Love you."
"You're oddly clingy today, wolf," Severus pointed out, remember when Remus refused to get out of bed for half an hour, claiming it was cuddle time. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing's the matter, I just love you a lot."
"Big sap," Severus replied.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Story!!" Harry exclaimed, running out of his room. "Want a story!!"
"I've got one right here, bambi," Severus said. "Come on up with us."
Severus started reading, and with every chapter, Harry's eyes drooped a bit more. Both parents knew he had barely slept due to excitement, so he definitely needed a nap before the party. A nap would also give them time to hide the surprise in their room.
Remus grinned when Harry finally fell asleep just as Lucius Floo'd.
"Quick, go put it in our room. I'll lay him down and then we can decorate," Remus said quietly. He brought Harry to his bedroom, tucked him in, and walked out with a few boxes of supplies. "We made the cake already and I decorated that yesterday, so we just need to hang up streamers, balloons, et cetera. Lucius, your on streamers. Sev, you do balloons. I'll get the food ready."
As they were setting up, people started arriving, Narcissa and Draco first. Then the Weasley's, Thomas, next was Minerva and Poppy. Finally, Blaise was dropped off by his mother.
Thankfully Harry stayed asleep, or else he'd go out right as they were eating cake, that was for sure. They set up a present table, some games outside and in, and Charlie helped make a 'dragon egg hunt'. His idea, too.
"I'm going to go get Harry. Don't shout, alright?" The group nodded, so Severus went up to his sons room. "Hare, bambi, are you ready for your party?"
"Party?"
"Yes, honey, party! We let you sleep because you didn't last night. Ready? Everyone's waiting for you."
"Yeah!! Gotta show Dray and Charlie my new Jammie's!!" He exclaimed, reaching up so Severus could carry him. "And Bill!"
"Yeah! Let's go, bambi!"
When they reached the bottom of the stairs, the group waiting for them said, not shouting, "Happy birthday!"
"Hi hi!!!" Harry giggled, jumping down and running to give Draco and Blaise a hug. "I six, I'm six!" he yelled.
"Now we're all the same!" Draco pointed out.
"I still older," Blaise pointed out. Harry poked his nose and said 'boop' in response. That caused Blaise to blush.
"What are we doin' first?" Draco asked.
Harry thought for a moment. "Dunno!"
"Hey, Harry," Charlie whispered. "I have a surprise game we could play. Want to find a Dragon egg?"
"Real dragon?"
"No, but there is a surprise inside if you find one."
"Yeah! How many?"
"Everyone's gets two, alright? And when you find them, I'll help you open them. Okay?"
"Yeah! Wanna get an egg! Wanna egg!"
Charlie huddled up all of the kids besides himself, and started a countdown. They all started running before he could finish.
Harry, of course, found the first egg on the sofa. It also happened to be the biggest, definitely not something Charlie did on purpose. No, this game was completely fair. Draco found one under the table, then Ron found one on the fireplace mantle.
"CHarlie, Charlie!" Harry shouted. "I got one!!"
"Me two!"
"An' me!"
'Alright, alright, alright. We'll have the birthday boy go first, hmm?" He crouched down so he was at Harry's height. "Here, put your hands on mine, we're going to open the egg together." Harry did so, grinning. "Ready? Pull gently on three. One... two... three!"
Once the egg had been pulled in half, a small dragon plush fell out, along with some chocolate coins.
"Daddy! Daddy! Pappy!" Harry threw his arms around Charlie's waist. "THank you thank you thank you!" He waited for Ron and Draco to open their eggs, which also held dragon plushies (though their were smaller), before running back to the dining room and jumping on Remus' lap.
"Lookit!" he yelled. "Dragon! Dragon!"
"Very nice, sweetie. How about I hold on to your dragon, and you go find your other egg?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harry was sat in the middle of the sitting room and surrounded by empty boxes and bags and torn wrapping paper. He, Ron, Draco, Tommy, and the twins were racing with his new car set, while Ginny was building a castle with Blaise out of his new blocks.
"Alright, everyone, Harry has one more present. Harry, can you put the cars away and close your eyes?"
"But Pappy, I was winning!"
"But Harry, there's another present!"
"Ooh... right. Okay!"
Harry sat criss cross with his eyes closed, waiting patiently. Suddenly, he felt something fluffy, very warm, and kinda small in his lap. Then he felt something wet on his face.
"Open your eyes, bambi."
HArry did so, and was face to face with a-
"PUPPY!!!" he squealed. "Puppy, puppy, puppy!!"
The pup responded by barking and licking HArry's face.
"So pretty! An' soft!" He squeezed the pup gently, not wanting to hurt it. "Thanks Daddy, Pappy!"
"Thank Lucy, too. He hid it at his house for a while."
"Thanks Uncle Lucy!" Harry exclaimed. He pet his puppy happily, Ron and Draco looking at him with jealousy. "'S name's... His name's Bowie."
"Bowie?" Remus asked, making sure he heard right.
"Mmm-hmm. Bowie the puppy. My puppy. And Fulbert's friend! We gotta show Fulbert!"
All of the kids ran to show Fulbert the new puppy, Harry going slower than all of them so not to hurt it. Most of the adults went into the dining to start getting dinner ready.
"Uncle?" Lucius asked. "I thought... didn't his uncle..."
"He doesn't think about him much, Luc. You're his family now."
Lucius frowned at the sappiness of the sentence. "So now I'm 'uncle Lucy', huh?"
"Yep. Aw, you're my big brother now!"
"Absolutely not."
Severus laughed at that.
Harry came back a bit later by himself (along with Bowie of course). "Daddy?"
"Yes, bambi?"
"Cuddle time?"
Severus sat in their armchair. "Of course, bambi. Come on."
Harry curled against Severus' chest, Bowie still on his lap.
"Bestest birthday ever, Daddy."
"For the bestest little boy."
