28 weeks later
It's been twenty eight weeks since I found out I was pregnant. This is the day of the baby shower. I can't wait to find out what the results are.
I look in the mirror in my bedroom and smile at the image reflected. I've been pregnant for thirty three if my calculations are correct. This means that I have about six weeks left of being pregnant left.
I walk out of my bedroom to find Yoongi standing outside, his fist raised as if he was about to knock on the door.
"Hi. Are you ready to go downstairs?" He asks, gently grabbing me and pulling me in for a sweet kiss.
"Hi yourself," I say with a smile. "Yes I'm ready. Has everyone been waiting a long time?"
"No the last guest has just arrived."
"Oh good I'd feel bad is I made them wait."
"I'm sure they can understand why you are taking some time. Shall we?" He holds his hand out to me.
I place my hand in his and we interlaced our fingers together. We make our way downstairs, silence surrounding us, but its not uncomfortable. It never is.
Once we reach the bottom of the stairs we make our way to the hall that was used for the party. The fateful night. A secret smile plays on my lips remembering what.
"What are you smiling about?" Yoongi asks, a smirk on his face. He is clearly thinking about the same night as me.
"I think you know," I say mischievously. He sends a grin my way, letting me know that my presumption is correct.
As we get closer to the hall, I hear soft chatter and laughter drifting out. I begin to feel nervous. At lot of people have turned up for this. More than I was expecting.
Yoongi stops in front of the door and brings my hand up to his lips, placing a small, reassuring kiss on the inside of my wrist. He gives my hand a little squeeze as well before pushing the door open.
As soon as we step into the hall, a loud cheer rises up. People rush up to us and give us hugs and kisses, mainly me, most shaking Yoongi's hand and slapping his back.
"Finally! Thought you'd gotten stuck in your bedroom door," Eun Jung says teasingly.
"I'm surprised I didn't with how big I am now," I reply with a laugh.
The girls pull me over to the bar and hand me some alcohol free champagne. I look around the area while I take a sip.
Everyone involved in the making of the baby shower outdid themselves. The hall looks gorgeous.
At one side of the hall there are tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. The stage has been taken down and in its place are tables holding food. The bar running equilateral to it. Parallel to the food are boxes and boxes all gift wrapped. In the middle of the floor where the dance floor is are 2 black balloons, floating softly, being held down by weights so they dont float up to the ceiling. The floor is covered by smoke but somehow made to look like clouds. Bunting made up of flowers and ribbons are placed around the area on tables and the walls.

I cant help but gasp at the sight. It looks so extravagant but simple all at the same time. I know who did the organisation. Hyun. She always was good at making a space look beautiful but not going overboard. Ara most likely would of picked the decorations. She always did have a good eye.
Everyone is mingling and talking amongst themselves. Some people reacquainted with old friends. Some catching up with any news they might have missed recently. Some make new friends altogether.
The atmosphere is cheerful and lively as it should be. It brings a smile to my face to see everyone having a laugh and enjoying themselves. No worries or stress here.
"Congratulations Min Young."
I turn away from my friends to see Park Jisung stood behind me. I give him a hug, a huge smile on my face.
"Sungie! Thank you! How are you?"
"I'm good thank you. How are you feeling"
"Hmm I'm good thank you. Starting to feel pain though in my back and feet. But I'm about to stay up for a few hours."
"That's good to hear. Are you excited for the shower?"
"Yes! I know it will be good whatever the girls have planned."
"Yeah they did a really good job with it. I would be really proud of them."
After the night of the party me and Jisung became really good friends. I took him up on his offer to go to his territory and visit him. I took Jungkook with me. With him being the weapons expert I felt he was the best choice to protect me if anything happened.
When we arrived at the agreed meeting place, we were met by some men that I hadn't seen before. They introduced themselves as Doyoung and Yuta.
Jungkook confirmed who they were and I slide myself into the car that was parked by the side of the road. It was a pleasant journey. There was two more people in the car with us called Kun and Jeno. They were really cheerful and instantly made me feel relaxed.
The journey was short and they didn't hide it either. The house that they pulled up in front of was gorgeous. It wasn't as big or as nice as the one we have home, though it would be nice as a little getaway or a city house.
When we got out of the car, Jisung came out and met us at the door.
"Min Young. I'm surprised you actually took me up on my offer after what happened at the party."
I gave him a hug as soon as I saw him. He pulled away as soon as his arms went around me. His eyes were wide and he looked down at my stomach. When he looked back at me I grinned. He let his own grin cover his face.
"Well what do you know."
I come out of my memories, it was a good day we had lots of fun. He gave me a little bracelet as a parting gift. I twist it around on my wrist as I remember Yoongi seeing it when I came back home.

He wasn't mad but he did look a bit suspicious but I quickly quelled that. In the best way. Let's just say there was no more suspicious thoughts after that little session.
Eventually everyone begins to gravitate to the their designated seats. Yoongi comes up to me and gently takes my hand, guiding me to ours.
Once we are all sat down the presents begin to be given.
"Do you want to open them together?" I ask Yoongi.
"No you open the princess. I'm happy to sit here and watch you," He replies, easing back into his seat, his hand resting on the back of my chair.
The first present I get is from my girls. They decided to buy them individually but place them altogether so they would be one gift.
I rip the wrapping off carefully so as not to destroy the box. I stand up and place the wrapping behind the box. I open it up and I'm met with with soft tissue paper. I move it aside and see some of the cutest baby clothes ever.
It's all white and grey with no gender assigned colours. There are cute little animals and sayings on them as well.
"They are pajamas for the baby. We thought you would prefer neutral seen as you don't know the gender of the baby yet."
"Thank you. They are so pretty," I gush happily.
I show them to Yoongi who pulls some of them out and looks at the little clothes fondly.
"These are amazing. Thank you for the clothes."
I place the box down next to me when we and everyone else has finished looking at them and ahhing and cooing and give my girls a tight hug.
The next present is from the boys. And well they decided to buy multiple ones. Each. There is about three to six presents from each of them. I look shocked as they bring them over from the pile and place them in front of me.
I look between them and the pile of presents. My eyes are wide, my mouth open and my mind has stopped working. I'm not to process how much they went out.
I feel a nudge on my arm and turn to see Yoongi looking at me with an amused smile on his face.
"Are you going to say anything?"
"Huh?"
You know? Thank you."
"Thank you? Oh Oh yeah right. Oh my god," I turn back to the boys. Jungkook, Taehyung and Hoseok are laughing at me while Jimin, Seokjin and Namjoon are trying to stifle their laughter, their faces bright red, hands covering their mouth. "Thank you for the presents guys."
I gently pick up the first box I come to. It's from Seokjin. I decide to go from order of oldest to youngest. None of them are wrapped. They have just been placed in boxes. I tear the taping off and fold the flaps back. I peer inside the box and see something fluffy. I pull it out carefully to find I'm holding and Alpaca. It's so cute with its little red scarf.
I keep going and open all the presents to find an array of plushies and soft toys. Some are small enough that they can fit on shelves but others are so big that they have to sit or stand on the floor against the wall.
I thank them again for their presents. I give them all hugs as well. I sit back down and steadily make my way through all the presents. I show them all to Yoongi who sits there, an adoring smile on his face. There is so much from everyone from the clothes up to decorations for the room, like for the windows.
By the time the presents have been opened, there is a gigantic pile of wrapping paper on one side and a pile of presents on the other.
We move the wrapping paper to bin that has been placed in the room. The presents are placed in their boxes and moved back to their original space ready to be taken when the party is over.
"O.K! It's time to find out the gender of the baby.!"
Everyone cheers and raises their glasses. Me and Yoongi stand up and are directed to the balloons. We stand in front of one each. We are given a pin from Ara.
Everyone stands at the edge of the dance floor giving us enough space. A countdown begins and I look at Yoongi nervously but excited. I'm so happy to find out what baby we are having.
I turn back when I hear three and take a deep breathe. I lift my hand ready to pop the balloon. As soon as everyone shouts one I thrust my hand forward and watch as the balloon explodes and blue confetti fires out and floats down to the floor.
Oh my god. It's a boy! I turn to Yoongi a big smile on my face until I see what is at his feet. My smile drops, confusion etched on.
I'm shocked at what my eyes are seeing. Surely its not possible. Right? I mean it just can't happen. But apparently it can. Because what I'm seeing happens to be the truth.
As cheers ring out around me I lift my eyes back up to see Yoongi's reaction. His eyes are saucer wide. His mouth hanging open. Obviously he can't believe it either from the expression on his face.
I licks my lips, my mouth having gone dry. I clear my throat a couple of times not trusting it in the slightest and look Yoongi straight in the eye. The words that come out of my mouth was suppose to be a statement but ends up being a question instead.
"We're having a boy and a girl?"

This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.
