《That bakery girl [Gojoxreader]》Vulnerability

It's early, far far too early, when Gojo hears a loud thud in the other room. He groans and hugs the pillow tighter, refusing to see the warm dawn light on the window. Secretly, he was hoping whoever it is, they will go away. That is, until he realizes he's hugging a pillow.
His head whips to the other side, barely registering the empty bed. "Y/n...?" Snapping from his slumber, the tall man gets up from the bed and looks around the apartment frantically. "Y/n!!" He shouts, opening every door to the rooms. He was about to give up and run outside, until he entered the kitchen.
At first, he didn't see you, with you kneeling on the floor and holding your forehead. He releases the breath he didn't even know he is holding. His body stops in front of you, making you finally look up. Your hands move from your forehead and a red spot appears.
Gojo doesn't say anything, too relieved to see you here with him. "I hit my head." Is the first thing you say to him. Your voice sounded hoarse and sleepy, but still, you remained on the floor. Teacher's gaze moves from you to the side, noticing a headboard being almost exactly your height.
Soft laughter feels the room as Gojo squats down holding his hands on his face. "I was so..." He doesn't finish, not wanting you to feel bad. Instead he pets your head with a smile on his handsome face. His hand stops on top of your head, with his thumb gently grazing the injury on your forehead.
Then his eyes fall on your bandages. Even though he feels bad every time he looks at them, he doesn't try to move them. If you were ready to take them off, you would've. However, the sorcerer tends to forget who his girlfriend is. If he is feeling anything bad at any time, she knows. If he is angry, she knows. If he is feeling happy, she knows.
So he shouldn't have been surprised when a frown graces your face. It is indeed a bad sign but Gojo finds it cute. He isn't supposed to, but he does. Everything about you is attractive to him. And he doesn't only mean your looks. Your timid personality in addition with your sweet and cheerful self drives him crazy every time he is around you.
Your body shifts in another position, bringing you closer to the albino man. The man doesn't do anything but watches every movement you make. Gently your small hands find their way to his face. With absolute trust and affection, the infinity disappears as your palms come in contact with his cheeks.
There can be no hiding with you. Reading him as an open book is a piece of cake for someone with your abilities. Suddenly, Gojo feels a captivating force surround him. His eyes widen and body relaxes so much, he felt like pudding, all mushy and soft. It was an amazing feeling, as if he is receiving some sweet drug that he is going to get addicted to. And he wouldn't mind that.
The feeling was so entrancing that he didn't notice when you moved your way to the couch. As both of you sit down, an unexpected distance was formed between your bodies. You sat a little away from your teacher, making him frown. It wasn't just the distance but the shyness that followed as well. His gaze never leaves your figure, which is why he notices your stern posture and the way you played with your fingers.

"G-Gojo-san..."
His ears perk at the mention of his name, but he doesn't let out a sound. "I-if you're fine with me..." You never finish the sentence, making the albino even more confused. That is --until your hands slowly moved to your thighs. With a gentle pat, you indicate the meaning of your statement. From the tips of your fingers up to your ear, redness covered the surface.
Seconds pass and the male still doesn't move. A pout forms on your lips and with a sad gesture your hands move back to the both sides of your body. Your thoughts are filled with how stupid you are, for offering something so embarrassing in the first place.
At least, that's what you thought, until Gojo pounce on you like a beast and smashes his face on your thighs. His hands squeeze the hell out of your waist and a huge grin invades the man's face. "Soo soft!!" He comments as his head turns around to face you from down below. A smile replaces the pout and you exhale, relieved at the change of the situation.
Shyly, your hands wonder to the fluff of albino's hair, inches away from touching it. "May I?" You ask and a slow hum follows. The tips of your fingers softly graze the white hair and if the bandages weren't in the way, Gojo would see your eyes sparkling at the feeling.
As your fingers explore his hair, the man shifts from the touch. His fluffy hair tickles the skin of your thighs and both of you giggle silently at the physical touch.
"Gojo-san, stop moving."
The menace in question just continues to giggle in response, his nose scrunching up adorably as he jerks back from your hand. "I can't help it! I'm ticklish, y'know." He pokes his tongue at you, but you poke his cheeks in return. As your soft laughs quite down, you sigh and stare at the man with no real malice. No matter what, you can't find it in you to feel anything beyond love towards him. How could yo? This is the most relaxed you have ever seen him be. Your fingers move from from the tip of his nose to his cheek, thumb gently tracing the dark circles beneath his eyes.
They're barely visible to you, and that fact is concerning on its own. The teacher hums some nonsensical melody while leaning into your touch, his grin softening into something much more delicate. You've learned that your lover has seen the universe in all its infinite ugliness, so how can he smile at you as if he holds nothing but love in his heart?
He retracts his hand, opting to place it overtop yours on his cheek. Soft pillowy lips press against your wrist before you can act out the urge to pinch the meat of his cheek. "What's that pretty little head worrying about, hm?"
A sigh leaves your mouth contently, and your fingers continue to pamper the spoiled man you're straddling. At this point, there was no use keeping secrets from him.
"You."
Gojo pauses in his mission to kiss every inch of your hand that he can reach, only briefly, before pressing a loud, wet kiss right on the middle of your palm.

"Well, you shouldn't."
"Gojo-san-"
"I'm fine.", his voice is muffled by your hand but for the first time in a while, you hear the rising irritation in it.
Expectedly, you knew this moment would come. At the confrontations like these, he openly avoids the topic, and you would let it go and silently comfort him instead. Another thing you've come to learn is that Gojo isn't the best at... serious aspects of a relationship.
You know he's trying for you, when he opens up about his missions, past relationships, but he refused your helping hand every time you held it out for him, even he desperately needed it. For some time, you convinced yourself that what you have now is fine and enough but dep down, you knew it won't be in the future. Your relationship will not go anywhere if he keeps avoiding vulnerability.
He's yet to outright pull away from your touch but now you know not to push your luck. Steading yourself on the soft couch and softly shifting his head in a more comfortable position, you resist the urge to kiss his grumpy little pout. How can he be so cute when he is upset?
"It's okay to need things, Gojo-san." you gently massage his skin as his nose scrunches up again but he remains still. "I don't expect you to tell me everything on your mind, nor will I push your boundaries with what you're ready to say either, but... rely on me more if you need it... Please."
Satoru remains silent for a moment, letting your words sink in while you continue to pamper him. This really isn't a way he wants to spend his day, especially when he is alone with you, but he cannot deny that he has been avoiding this topic for a while. In his mind there is simply no point of burdening you with his inner problems.
There's very little he could do about them, but getting his girlfriend, his lover involved, who is being introduced to so many new things in life at once, wouldn't be very productive. In the end that's all he tells to himself, there will always be his inherent need to uphold the role of being the strongest in every way possible.
"Most of my problems are too big for either of us to handle sweetheart, that's all." With every word your face deflates a bit. He hates that dejected look, even more because he's the cause of it. Still, you nod understandingly, and Gojo wonders how anyone as angelic as you ended up with him of all people. He almost feels bad that someone else more deserving of you isn't thereto cherish you properly.
Almost.
Gojo Satoru is a greedy man, no complaints sit on his tongue.
"Alright," You reply, knowingly letting your love run back into his metaphorical shell. "But let me help with the problems that I can handle, okay? I just wanna help you feel better, Gojo-san."
The man's no saint, he's reminded of the that fact when he finds himself enjoying the lilt of desperation and worry in your words, the plush pucker on your lips. He feels cared for, possibly for the first time in his life. He is even happier he doesn't feel the instinctive urge that yells at him to bolt the other way.
His body leans up, sitting across from you, only to capture your lips in his. Despite the fact that he avoided the topic once again, but you truly cannot care when he kisses you like he's baring his soul only for you to take.
Gojo noticed how you became more comfortable with kissing, assumingly from how many times he couldn't resist the action when he is around you. Your fingers are woven into his hair, a gesture he noticed you like to do while you share the moment, as his are securing you by the hips. The kiss isn't a heated one, but it still leaves both of you panting by the time you pull away. He swipes a little sweat that formed on your cheek, and the obnoxious grin is back on his face.
"Help me feel better, huh? I can think of a few ways to do that." his eyebrows wag insufferably, as you patiently wait for him to explain himself.
When he doesn't you add, "How's that Gojo-san?" excitedly. The man stares at you, an infinite possibilities running through his perverted mind, but he decides against them. For now.
"Why of course, by letting me take you out on a date!" He exclaims and embraces you with his figure. Even with the bandages in the way, he adores the way your face brightens up at the mention of a date. You return the hug with even more affection, happily snuggling him in the process.
As you discuss your plans for tomorrow, the lovers happily fall back asleep in the bed, with Gojo optimistically thinking of how wonderful tomorrow is going to be!
That is... Until he saw you hugging another man later in the morning.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.
