《math class | gwinam x reader》chapter 17 - missing him

Gwinam and I had now been broken up for well over three months or so now, and in all honesty, I was kind of missing him. Missing his tan skin, his sweet smile, so good to me, so right, and how he held me in his arms that cool autumn night, oh, how every time I think about that date I just simply want to cry.
I was so lost in my own thoughts that I simply forgot that I had actually arrived at my maths classroom, as I quickly unpacked my books and belongings out of my backpack, and made my way inside of the cold classroom.
I sat down in my regular seat, behind Gwinam's. I knew that there was no point in sitting behind him, and even though after we broke up, for at least a few months he sat on the opposite side of the classroom, he eventually came back to his normal seat which was nice; even though we don't talk or anything even more. I doubt he even looks at me now. He just goes about his same old fuck boy day and probably forgot that he even heard my name. I would say that I thought he was different than the rest but I know that they are all the same.
I stared at the empty seat in front of my own, still lost in my sad train of regret and thoughts. On-Jo came in and sat down next to me muttering a sort 'hi' before opening up her workbook, and beginning her math work. I noticed a body sit down in the seat in front of me and I looked up expecting to be met with the view of the back of Gwinam's head. I smiled to myself, hearing his contagious laugh fulfil the ears of mine and many others around him. I felt my heart simply sink into my chest down to the bottom pit of my stomach, like a small stone thrown into the ocean, it will fall painfully slowly but will never come back up. That's how I felt about Gwinam and I. Even if I were to try and get back with him, it simply wouldn't work. Our love was long gone. Simply dead and gone and buried gone.

I thought about him all math class, like I normally do, laughing to myself as he flicked small bits of paper across the classroom at some innocent students, or talks back at a teacher threatening him with some sort of punishment or another.
I quickly and quietly made my way home like I always do, thinking about my dumbass decision of ending it with him. I pulled my iPhone out of my pocket once I reached my bedroom. I logging onto my phone I sighed when I pulled up me and Gwinam's old conversations.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Unbound Deathlord: Challenge
Due to Amazon's Kindle Unlimited rules, I had to pull most of the book content from RoyalRoad. Only sample chapters remain. To read a fiction that will never be removed from Royal Road, I recommend my other fiction: Immortal Conqueror. The first two books of the series are out on Amazon: Book 1: Unbound Deathlord: ChallengeBook 2: Unbound Deathlord: Obliteration Book 1: Challenge When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they’re being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives.A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord.A mage by choice, and a swordsman by necessity, he soon finds out that he’ll need to use much more than magic and steel to survive; strategy, creativity, and carefully chosen words can often accomplish what simple attacks can’t.As the game becomes too real and touches a part of him that he’d rather leave buried, he is faced with two questions:Who is he, really? And who should he become?
