《math class | gwinam x reader》chapter 23 - "hey, how was baby sitting?"

It was now spring holidays, and the calls from Gwinam thankfully (kind of not) stopped, and I was now sitting in my front courtyard with my friends around a nice warm camp fire eating s'mores and talking shit about all of the boys at school.
I was also on my friend On-jo's Snapchat on her phone randomly snapping and messaging the random people that I had known on there. I was quietly laughing to myself as I was scrolling through all of the names on her phone and listening to my group of friends talking about how annoying Jason is, when my heart suddenly stopped skipping about a million beats when I saw one name that particularly stood out to me.
I softly but still quite harshly glared at my friend who was happily sitting next to me as I subtly tilted the phone a fraction away from her, tapping on the chats and beginning to read them.
I glared at the glowing screen before my eyes. On-Jo and Gwinam talked? Why didn't she tell me this? I scrolled through the chats revealing more and more messages between the two.
The further I scrolled through the messages the more was revealed about the two, well I mean six months ago; right before I moved to the school, but still it was strange and weirdly hurtful reading all of the same messages that Gwinam had sent to me just a month before he had met me, and in fact sent them to one of my best friends?
I closed off the phone feeling all sorts of weird feelings of anger and maybe jealousy brewing up inside of me. I couldn't help but be mad and jealous at On-Jo for talking with Gwinam even before I came to the school and dated him.
I looked over at On-Jo sitting in one of my camping chairs next to me before opening my mouth and saying what needed to be said before I had lost the confidence to do so.
"On-Jo?" I sheepishly asked.
"Yeah?" She happily hummed in response.
"Did you and Gwinam have a thing?"

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.
